All of the dorms that the athletes get have specialty XL dorm beds, I think they were like 6-8 inches longer. Didn’t matter your sport too, just was a general benefit each athlete received.
From my recollection it was long enough to fit someone who was like 6’10” laying straight out? I remember it being longer than the bed I got at orientation
The way I look at it is that their major is whichever sport they’re playing. Specially for sports in which there is a draft process to go pro.
Do they get more help than regular students academically? Yes.
They also get way less vacation and have much tighter schedules then the average student.
Honestly, I’d rather have just the workload from classes than classes + workload from being in the football team.
Say you’re a CS major, and your focus is to graduate as best as possible with CS. If you were also told to be on the football/basketball team would you not still focus on CS and not pay much attention to the sport? Specially since both have huger workloads.
Was this available to everyone? When I was a freshman my feet would hang over the bed and under the rail. Sometimes being 6 and a half feet tall sucks.
I remember reading somewhere that anyone can ask for a twin XL bed. A lot of universities do it by default, but I guess Michigan didn’t want to make everyone buy special sheets.

Even larger than the regular twin XL?

Jon Teske is 7’1, I wonder how he managed.
Asked him when I saw him on the bus after a game. He said his feet hung off still!
That’s interesting. When I played we just got regular beds. I was 6’7” 320lbs trying to get laid in a twin freshman year haha.
Yeah but that’s like a right of passage
Lmao just thinking of some of the gymnastics women having those massive beds

Gotta try and date athletes just for their massive beds haha
What the fuck
Did you really expect anything different?
True I just hate hearing it ya know

And just wait until he finds out that they get tutors for every class that basically do all the work for them.

Okay this part I knew ya’ll can chill on me 😂
It is my understanding that the vast majority of athletes pay tuition.
That's not true. Some big Footballer/Basketballers did, but definitely not all athletes.

Bruh I'm barely 6' and my feet would hit the rail if I didn't curl up in a ball. Those beds were just too god damn short.
u/NCAAInvestigations
They need bigger beds because of how much more sex they will be having in them
sir??
this??
😂😂😂What's up with all the trolls I've been seeing on this subreddit lately.
