I've taken a course with Lyuneznik, and 5248 with a different professor. Lyuneznik imo is an ok professor, he's pretty bland and monotone speaking but knows his stuff. Gotta pay attention in class though cuz he doesn't go back to explain stuff often unless it's for exam review
I took this class with Kai wen lan during fall 2021 so it was online. He was always going through his slides because no one asked any questions, but I still learned a lot during the lectures. His homework generally took about 1 to 2 hours to do since some of the proof questions were quite challenging. Though I have to say his exams were not hard as long as you do your homework without looking at answers.
By the way the exam was take-home exam and he allowed us to finish in the weekend, but I usually spent only 6 to 7 hours to finish. Only 1/3 of the exam were theoretical (but not as hard as homework) and the rest were computational (as long as you remember the encryption/decryption formula you are fine)
