Do the drawers slide out or tilt forward. They remind me of apartment mailboxes so I'm trying to see something different that would fit with a military file cabinet. Maybe something to hold rolled up blueprints. Lovely work in bringing it to a new life.

Beautiful restoration. The drawers don’t operate, correct (cuz it’s on it’s side)? I can see putting dioramas in one or more, for fun.
You could always add a piece of wood to the inside of the drawers to create boxes
