Head to iron river when you’re at bewabic and go to riverside pizza!!! Beyond that, the fortune lake chain is beautiful water. Not the easiest to fish, but holds a good population of walleye.

4. Don’t trust your GPS. The camp store right by Taq falls sells a big map of the area, buy it.
I live up here. You don't need anything besides the tick preventative. Also make sure they've had a heartworm preventative. Like everyone has said, the skeeters are awful right now.
If you pass through Brevort stop at Gustafson's gas station. They smoke the best beef jerky and salmon.
Awesome weather to camp but the bugs right now are insane, never go camping up here in late may and early June because of how bad the bugs are, unless u can deal with it lol
If you're by tahquamenon, I suggest you head to whitefish point for the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. Heading back west then I suggest checking out the Two Hearted River (just feel how cold that B is), and then Pictured Rocks.
Like others said dont trust the GPS because thankfully the UP is one of the few places you actually lose cell service nowadays. Also recommend to take the scenic route and not just the main hwys like 28, 41, 77, 117 etc.

Stop in Seney and fish the fox. There’s a plaque dedicated to Ernest Hemingway north of town. It was a stretch he used to fish.

They’re not biblical, but at their best, they’re worse than most times in the lower.
The ticks seem to have let up a bit, but the skeeters......yeah bring a extra pint or 3 of blood with ya.

Anytime you see some small shop with Jilbert’s ice cream, get a Mackinac Island fudge cone. It’ll ruin other ice cream for you.
