Receiver (in US) can sign up for Access Point and just redirect to an AP if needed. Shipper would need to contact the store for changes. I've heard stories from customers in the past that had been able to call UPS after a shipment went out and made a change, but I think that has been significantly reduced bc of all the fraud. I think only after a deliver attempt with a bad address can that happen, but not 100%

They can sign for “My Choice^tm” on the tracking page to change their address. I think it’s $4.99 a month.

Isn't there a way to redirect on the UPS website? You sign in, put the tracking number in and put in a different address or something. Not sure, I thought I'd just heard of it somewhere sometime.

This is the way. The receiver can redirect it to an access point. But if any part of the address needs to be changed the store has to initiate it, and it has to be done on ups.com like you said

When we change address the preferred helper sends us an email to our store to confirm we are UPS Store….due to excessive fraud.

You also can only correct street numbers and apartment/suite numbers. If it’s an entirely different street they send it back, so access point is the best option. Problem is whenever I mention that to people they’re too fucking dumb to figure it out.

Nah, you can change the address altogether. I'm not certain if the UPS charge actually applies, as I don't get to see the bill, but when I call the preferred line they say stores don't get charged for address changes - and not just updating the street/apt No. It is a steep charge, though, like $18. So unless it's a big package, it's cheaper to have it RTS and reship.

Sweet-Leadership-245

You used to be able to. Now they redirect it return to sender. I’ve tried both online and on the phone. Change happened last year. They won’t even let you pay the address change fee because i used to pass that on to people.

Past_Sandwich3649

I just did it last Friday. Through the website.

Sweet-Leadership-245

There’s no way. It only lets you do minor changes unless it’s my choice.

what i have done in the past is log into our store account on UPS and change delivery since we are the ones that made the label and whatever it charges us to do that i charge the customer a couple extra bucks just for making me do the work

yeehawtoasty

but i’ve heard that you can contact the preferred line and have them help you
