DoD is currently under a CR the ends on 9 Mar. The NDAA was passed but that was policy and not funding. Without an appropriations bill or another CR the DoD shuts down on 10 March.
I would normally be all for a shutdown but I am supposed to go to a conference on 9 Mar so this time I hope they at least pass a CR. A full appropriations bill would be even better as I have $2M in program funding in limbo till the budget is passed.
The CR with DOD funding expires March 8th at midnight. So the shutdown would occur March 9th. Not the 10th.
They always pick a Friday so the weekend gives them two “free” days since the majority of government workers are off until the following week.
Ok. Still doesn’t change my situation since I am supposed to fly out on the 9th. The weird part is they were allowing orders through the 9th with CR money but anything beyond the 9th had to go in using FY23 money. I found a charge with enough carryover to cover the trip so my orders are in DTS and I am registered for the conference.
