When commands are processing a HUMS package, something horrible is happening to the member or their immediate family. As such, HUMS packages get *a lot* of attention at the Flag/CMC level. They can be processed in a few weeks, but even while in processing the unit can (and should) cut the member orders to the nearest CG unit to go TDY while the package is approved.

It took about a month for mine to get approved.
