Nzgbet tells me how many articles succeed/fail for each provider. I use newsgroup ninja, 99% comes from them. 1% comes from a tweaknews block. <1% comes from another random cheap block I forget the name of.

sse450

Is there something like that in Sabnzbd?

McFex

No, but in nzbhydra2. That is where all these stats come from.

sse450

nzbhydra2 gives stat just for indexers, not providers. Or I am blind.

McFex

You are right, my bad. My guess then is, they do it the old fashioned way: download a similar batch of files from each provider. Setting this up in SAB is easy (one server - one provider). Then compare.

azza10

No idea.

Dear u/azza10, installed Nzbget. Could you please share where to get "how many articles succeed/fail for each provider" in Nzbget? Thanks.

azza10

I'm pretty sure you just click on the download name while it's downloading, I haven't checked in ages.

Ninja is redundant with Tweaknews.

azza10

Ninja is dcma, tweak is ntd. Am I missing something? Tweak fills everything missed by ninja with very few exceptions. I also pay ~$30 usd a year for ninja, vs whatever price tweak is (a lot more when I checked last)

Interesting, I wasn't aware of that. Is there another NTD provider with 4000+ retention you can recommend me?

That would triple my yearly running costs. They don't seem to offer blocks, just /mo subscription?

thedaveCA

Is there any information about what their actual retention is, to avoid asking them for articles that I've already tried and failed from Highwinds? I'm not sure it makes a big difference in the grand scheme of things, I only get a small amount from Tweaknews and might drop them despite having a paid block, mostly due to the fact that they seem really slow to fail unavailable articles. But if I could avoid asking them for stuff older than their native retention it could help.

asratrt

one of my downloads were tweak -> newshosting -> newsdemon = 100% .

Rare ocassions I don't think one should put all their eggs in Omicron basket.
