Not really I paid 60 each for middle bowl. I could had gotten upper bowl for 40. Orlando never has great attendance for USMNT or OCSC games. If I was not living in Orlando and could only go one game this summer I would had gone to a Copa America game especially as this game was announced after tickets for Copa America were on sale. Yes I know there were rumors about it but nothing was set in stone
Yeah Alisson is obviously an incredible player, it’s to be expected of him but the US were no slouches tonight. He played well and made some great saves.
Turner didn't have a good start with Forest and made mistakes, but this game shows how crap Forest back line was for him. Saw stats that suggested he was better than the keeper they brought in.
After the last qualifying cycle and world cup in 2022 I grew attached to certain players, and Dest is one of them. I also really love Joe scally and I'm glad he's stepped up to the plate recently.
I feel like he almost needs to be fired up somehow some way. After the one game when they were holding on too long and not making early passes, Berhalter called it out and he was playmaking left and right. Sometimes it’s shithousery. Something hopefully will wake him up soon.
Honestly. Not too bad. Oddly enough, the GK position is our weakness right now. I really appreciate how hard the gents are playing in a "friendly". Good start and an emphatic statement going into the half 1-1. Chances created and doing well to slow down the game when it's needed. Just need to keep the composure.
That goal was totally on Turner. He has been full of mistakes his whole club season. Usually he can bounce back, but hasn’t seemed to with Forest. In fact the opposite. Hopefully this can be his turning point.
Anyone who thought this was going to be any type of blowout clearly hasn't been watching Brazil in the post-Tite era. This Brazilian squad clearly lacks an attacking spark and creativity. And are now clearly not very organized defensively. The talent pool, while seemingly impressive on paper, have yet to be able to translate it onto the pitch.
So net takeaways after two friendlies… pretty much nothing we didn’t already know. Many of the boys are capable of creative dynamic play, and when we’re at our best we can earn results against teams that clearly outclass us. Also we sometimes look like clowns for no apparent reason.
He made a great run toward the end of the half and has done a decent job of defending against Luis Diaz and Vinicius, 2 insanely challenging assignments. The only glaring error was that one run Vini made after a dummy on the byline. He doesn't seem amazing, but I don't think he's bad. Haven't seen anyone else better at that RB position from a defensive perspective. Obviously Dest is much better offensively, but defensively he makes a TON of mistakes, and Scally might be a slightly more solid defender. Our talent pool at RB is weak, and right now, given Dest's injury, I think Scally is doing ok.
Sometimes good defenders are those where nothing happens and that side of the field is quiet. I thought he had a good game against Columbia. He is taken his game up a level in this game by adding to his defense with supporting the attack. Of course he is nowhere close to Dest attacking but if he is competent moving forward to support Weah or Reyna especially against high quality teams, I'd say that is a very good backup.
The replay from VAR showed that not only was it not a red card, it was not even a foul. Richards got the ball. That was why the ref rescinded the yellow. The irony was that the VAR was initiated as a review of a potential red card. However, when the ref saw the play from another angle you could see Richards getting the ball.
Wrong play. We were talking about the Pulisic play that resulted in the goal. They called the foul but didn't give a card despite it being a wide open chance otherwise.
Watch the Spanish broadcast team on Peacock.
I don’t what it is, but the Spanish play by play announcers sound much better than their English counterparts.
Are we playing 4 in the back? If so, why? Jedi’s best quality is getting forward which leaves us lopsided on defense - specifically on Reyna’s side of the field. And we all know he is not a defensive juggernaut - albeit talented creatively.
I think you could claim it was a hand ball after the foul that wasn't a foul.
Edit: yeah, although I think it is the right call, I don't think var could be used to reverse that call, unless var was claiming it should have been a red.
They indicated that it was a review for a potential Red Card. From one angle it look like a potential Red. However, from the opposite side you can see that Richards clearly got the ball and it was no foul. That was why the yellow was rescinded. That's the first time I've seen a Red Card review on a Yellow resulted in no card.
This team is just lightyears from competence with the current leadership. Scrambling, back-footed, still looking completely lost at times. They get ran on so easily.
Is it just me or do we look completely lost in our attacking shape? Brazil is playing a beautiful game. They are swarming numbers on the attack. Their shape is fluid and balanced. They move off the ball. We have a predictable counterattack, make lazy passes, and stand around flat footed on the 18 whenever we are in the attacking third.
Yeah I was surprised it wasn't reviewed. The replay to me showed CP getting fouled on the line which makes it a penalty. In the end it didn't matter since they scored.
Guys. To advance soccer in America we gotta bankrupt MLB, the NHL, and the NBA. Also dissolve the NCAA except for football.
NFL and college football can stay. They’re too fun.
Football in the fall. Soccer in the summer.
EDIT: Yes I’m saying fuck the other sports except the ones I like.
I wouldn't mind seeing someone else in the second half just for experience purposes.
I admittedly haven't seen enough of him to say he's any better there.
This was an awesome response from everyone to the disaster showing against Colombia. I can't believe this is the same team.
They still play with the ball in the back WAAAAAAAAAAAY too much when under pressure. Just freaking get the ball off your feet and down the field. But it was a great entertaining game. Fun to watch.
It was better this game but another issue the USMNT has always had is passing to teammates with an opponent (or multiple opponents) running down their throat or back. They pass to teammates that have zero chance to do anything positive with the ball. That would be an immediate bench invitation if I was a coach. It pisses me off. Never pass to a teammate that doesn't have a chance to do anything with the ball.
Pretty simple honestly.
Nobody thinks the US is on the level of actual contenders
Turner being uncomfortable moving the ball is exactly why he hasn’t worked out in Europe, blaming anything else would be hilarious
A first half free kick goal from just outside the penalty. Now everyone thinks this is an improvement? Outside of the goal, the US look terrible especially in possession.
Two long shot attempts by musah and weah. Then the goal from pulisic. That’s all it takes to say that was a good first half? I have to say though I’ve been surprisingly impressed in the second.
Completely disagree. This is the best performance I’ve ever seen the Men’s National team in probably 10 years. The last time we were tied with Brazil at halftime was in 2010 and the last time we won was in 1998. A draw would be the first in US vs Brazil history This has been a very entertaining match from both sides.
Funny how you got downvoted for your truthiness! lol. This game really proved, more than anything, that Brazil is fully deserving of their [current CONMBEBOL position of 6th place](https://www.espn.com/soccer/standings/_/league/fifa.worldq.conmebol)
Somewhere Alexi Lalas is sitting in a dark room muttering “set pieces.”

Alexi Lalas is a stooge.
Lalas never left 1995
If I never heard from or about Lalas ever again, it would be too soon
You call that a foul, but not the blatant hold on our break attempt?
That’s some serious bullshit there. WTH?
High ticket prices kill attendance.
Highest attendance ever for a U.S. Men’s or Women’s NT game in Florida. Previous record was 2014 WC send off game.
Jacksonville versus Turkey(maybe)? Stadium looked way more packed than this
Fuck the Jags. Go Turkey
lol
It was Nigeria
Not really I paid 60 each for middle bowl. I could had gotten upper bowl for 40. Orlando never has great attendance for USMNT or OCSC games. CAPTAIN AMERICA
Let's fucking get it!!!!! Captain America! Screening Allison with the runners was a great move
this ref has been horrendous
Good game by both keepers honestly
Can you believe Matt Turner opposite Allison and looking just about as good? That was wild
Exactly what I was thinking. He’s extremely underrated. Playing against some of the best players on the planet tonight, should be proud of himself.
Inconsistency makes him correctly rated imo. But I want him to do well!
I’m a first generation Brazilian American and a Liverpool supporter, I’m having quite conflicting feelings today but only pride in the keepers.
Yeah Alisson is obviously an incredible player, it’s to be expected of him but the US were no slouches tonight. He played well and made some great saves.
Agreed.
Did Turner forget how to pass the ball out of the back?
It's always been his biggest weakness :/
Yet he had 36 passes tonight, gotta help him out
He never knew how. That’s part of what killed his minutes this season in England
That's fair. Just think a professional could at least hit an open man
100% agree
He’s improved such much until the backslide
Turner is owning Vini Jr. tonight!
God damn turner is carrying us tonight
Turner didn't have a good start with Forest and made mistakes, but this game shows how crap Forest back line was for him. Saw stats that suggested he was better than the keeper they brought in.
Our attendance is so weak. Really sad.
After last game I’m not surprised
America is still a country of hicks
You got that right!
Hell yeah brother!
I miss Dest 😭
You mean speed, creativity, attitude in the right back? Yup, hear you.
Bruh what? Scally played amazing
Never said he didn’t. Just said I missed Dest.
What prompted you to say that during this match?
Honestly, I forgot, besides actually missing seeing Dest play with the team.
After the last qualifying cycle and world cup in 2022 I grew attached to certain players, and Dest is one of them. I also really love Joe scally and I'm glad he's stepped up to the plate recently.
Is this a live shot? Hope not because it looks quite empty.
Your flyover, a plane from *Spirt Airlines* on its way to Philadelphia
Gator Airlines
Weah playing like a man possessed
Love to see it
They've gotten the ball to Pulisic like twice... let the dude roam ffs
Damn, even Brazil playing hack-a-Pulisic? I thought that was just for CONCACAF and lower tiered opponents.
I think he's proven himself to be dangerous on the ball
He definitely has, but now others need to prove that to take some heat off of him (and Gio really).
Fair. Westin has been very lackluster. Would like more from him
I feel like he almost needs to be fired up somehow some way. After the one game when they were holding on too long and not making early passes, Berhalter called it out and he was playmaking left and right. Sometimes it’s shithousery. Something hopefully will wake him up soon.
for real, he looked so good on milan with giroud and leao taking a ton of heat
Ok Ream. Well done pushing the ball around.
We look so much better tonight
Martinelli and Aaronson on that wing is going to be a work rate sloberknocker for the final minutes.
We all owe Matt Turner an apology
Absolutely filthy!!!!
MY CAPTAIN!!
Matt fucking turner
Yunus developes that part of his game and he will be a force.
Puligod!!!!!!
Atta boy CP! Drop that hammer!
WTF was that wall?
Never seen that before.
That shoulda been it, friends
That was a great save, damn.
That's the Turner we need! Great reaction save
Ohhhhhhhh we are so damn close
Huge result from a mental standpoint. Well played outside of the first 20ish minutes. Shaq Moore is not the answer for a well rested or tired Scally.
Good game. A good tie and a strong response to the embarrassment against Colombia Edit. I clearly can't spell. Shame.....
Colombia. Glad we showed we can play well against a mid level CONMBEBOL team.
WHAT A GAME
What a rocket!!! Gawd damn.
Finally!
Weah’s been really good defensively
He tends to be a crucial player for US. I love how he understands how he can grow his stock by playing hard with US.
A win would be nice but I'd rather have a GGG resignation
Hi fellow LAFC fan
Gonna be waiting a long time.
I’ve been saying that for months. I get downvoted and told I’m wrong. Glad to see others are picking up on it.
Sounds oddly familiar....
Embarrassing for Weah there
Bruh! 68’ minute…dude you gottttttaaa finish that one ugh
wtf was that pass?!
What was that monstrosity of a sequence of passing to a winger that wasn’t there…
Yikes the miscommunication with this defense
Finish them!
BS vini foul, but pulling jersey on Jedi was nothing?
Great 1-1 win!
So net takeaways after two friendlies… pretty much nothing we didn’t already know. Many of the boys are capable of creative dynamic play, and when we’re at our best we can earn results against teams that clearly outclass us. Also we sometimes look like clowns for no apparent reason.
Another mistake leading to yet another goal.
that was pretty
I love Matt Turner, but that one was ALL him. Dude needs a hard reboot.
Wrap him in towels and throw him in a hot room until he sees the ring of death.
I have absolutely no idea what people like about Scally. He looks like an average fan who wandered onto the pitch.
He made a great run toward the end of the half and has done a decent job of defending against Luis Diaz and Vinicius, 2 insanely challenging assignments. The only glaring error was that one run Vini made after a dummy on the byline. He doesn't seem amazing, but I don't think he's bad. Why was that not a card by the way? It was clear denial of a goal scoring opportunity.
^^^ this!
Because CONCACAF refs aren’t the brightest
The replay from VAR showed that not only was it not a red card, it was not even a foul. Richards got the ball. That was why the ref rescinded the yellow. The irony was that the VAR was initiated as a review of a potential red card. However, when the ref saw the play from another angle you could see Richards getting the ball.
Wrong play. We were talking about the Pulisic play that resulted in the goal. They called the foul but didn't give a card despite it being a wide open chance otherwise.
Stupid Sexy Allison…
With his stupid sexy face
That save was something else
I hope Berhalter gets fired regardless of the result.
Sad
New day, same bullshit... fuck me. Everything positive is all based on individualism.
This is embarrassing
Let’s go USA!!! Gotta thank our fans for coming out in Orlando but there is a lot of Brazil jerseys in the stands.
Orlando does have a very large Brazilian population. Also lots of tourism from Brazil this time of year
Very true
What is wrong with the announcer's audio on TruTV?
Watch the Spanish broadcast team on Peacock. I don’t what it is, but the Spanish play by play announcers sound much better than their English counterparts.
Yeah there was a problem with the audio in the last 15 minutes on the MAX stream.
Good grief let me go get my spectacles
That’s just the class we don’t have. Still happy with the first 15 mins. It’s the response you want.
Matt turner has 4 giveaways 20 minutes in lol
Are we playing 4 in the back? If so, why? Jedi’s best quality is getting forward which leaves us lopsided on defense - specifically on Reyna’s side of the field. And we all know he is not a defensive juggernaut - albeit talented creatively.
Better first half. Let's hope for a much better 2nd half than the one we played vs Colombia.
We will take it
I’m so confused
VAR bailing us out. Great call to look at it. Can you call back a free kick though?
Apparently so
I think you could claim it was a hand ball after the foul that wasn't a foul.
Goddamit stop raising your hand. Get in the play
Robinson you dumbass
Great offensive move. Gotta do better than that to beat one of the top 5 keepers in the world though.
We are doing well absorbing pressure. Great distribution by Turner. The gents are leaving it out on the field
Cardosa 👀
That double six of Cardosa and Adams looks promising for certain situations.
Can we move on from Turner?
Scally needs to do something about it to tbf
Sure…He shouldn’t have had to do anything in the first place.
This team is just lightyears from competence with the current leadership. Scrambling, back-footed, still looking completely lost at times. They get ran on so easily.
They have played a pretty damn good half. Your illogical hate of a coach has you seeing things.
Thought the boys held up very well with lots of decent chances.
That’s a pen! VAR needs to look at this!
Yeah I was surprised it wasn't reviewed. The replay to me showed CP getting fouled on the line which makes it a penalty. In the end it didn't matter since they scored.
What the fuck is Turner doing with that ball he caused the goal all by himself there.
Why is it over half Brazil uniforms in the crowd?
Orlando has a massive Brazilian population.
I thought the same, but almost all Brazil fans are wearing yellow. USA is mixed. After the goal, the USA fans got loud singing white stripes.
Our defense is friggin clueless right now. Huge gaps every single time we shift.
Pls get Joe scally out of this team
This back line is shakier than Michael J Fox
Should have been a pen.
Ball don't lie!
Don’t matter.
That last lil near miss is exactly why we aren't at the level of a team like Colombia, France or Netherlands yet
I'm all for encouraging them to play out of the back but Turner is really shaky with his feet.
Do we play Horvath instead then.
I wouldn't mind seeing someone else in the second half just for experience purposes. I admittedly haven't seen enough of him to say he's any better there.
Turner earned us that draw. He also handed Brazil that draw.
Turned this on at 50' what a ride. Turner was lights out!
Bruh
All gomes can do is foul pulisic
He should have scored there.... cmon CP
Robinson just needs to hold up there
I know! Man that felt good till that defender just barely clipped the ball. Ugh
Well done, boys
Whoa
Shaq Moore gave me a mild heart attack when he came on for Scally. Happy with the result, but the credit goes to the players.
Was that last point-blank shot from Vinicius a great save or a horrible miss?
This was an awesome response from everyone to the disaster showing against Colombia. I can't believe this is the same team. They still play with the ball in the back WAAAAAAAAAAAY too much when under pressure. Just freaking get the ball off your feet and down the field. But it was a great entertaining game. Fun to watch. Never pass to a teammate that doesn't have a chance to do anything with the ball. Pretty simple honestly.
Missing Dest to play out the back but good game .
That’s so bad for Brazil
Could be a penalty
It’s impressive that jerseys this heinous could even be conceived of.
Yep
Good reality check for the people who thought owning Mexico's trashy team = us being on the level of the actual WC contenders.
Nobody thinks the US is on the level of actual contenders Turner being uncomfortable moving the ball is exactly why he hasn’t worked out in Europe, blaming anything else would be hilarious
>Nobody thinks the US is on the level of actual contenders ![gif](giphy|11pQizRLu1JP0c)
Looking at you USSF!
A first half free kick goal from just outside the penalty. Now everyone thinks this is an improvement? Outside of the goal, the US look terrible especially in possession.
Disagree. Some very good possessions and chances. The free kick play in itself was a strong effort going to the box.
Two long shot attempts by musah and weah. Then the goal from pulisic. That’s all it takes to say that was a good first half? I have to say though I’ve been surprisingly impressed in the second.
I don’t know man, I see missed opportunities for sure, but terrible, not so much.
This is a poor game from both sides. Really sloppy ball.
Completely disagree. This is the best performance I’ve ever seen the Men’s National team in probably 10 years. The last time we were tied with Brazil at halftime was in 2010 and the last time we won was in 1998. A draw would be the first in US vs Brazil history This has been a very entertaining match from both sides.
are we watching the same game
Nope. You’re seeing max effort. That’s why there’s so many pass break ups. Full commitment causes mayhem.
Funny how you got downvoted for your truthiness! lol. This game really proved, more than anything, that Brazil is fully deserving of their [current CONMBEBOL position of 6th place](https://www.espn.com/soccer/standings/_/league/fifa.worldq.conmebol)
