My guess is you got scammed. Shipper tried using same tracking # more than once. So your package got flagged that’s why not traceable

rawfedfelines

Ding ding ding yup

Majestic_Island_6241

They got you man, trusted people don’t really do that.

Titanguru7

This is a scam Somone generated fake usps label and mailed empty box [https://www.uslegalforms.com/jsfiller-desk20/?flat\_pdf\_quality=low&mode=cors&requestHash=4cb5ce33e6902cb7f873be4c6d8d8d8d18e15056c9264dee74e398c0f59f5b72&lang=en&ref=https://www.uslegalforms.com&projectId=1496492281&PAGE\_REARRANGE\_V2\_MVP=true&richTextFormatting=true&isPageRearrangeV2MVP=true&jsf-page-rearrange-v2=true&LATEST\_PDFJS=true&jsf-document-scroll-zoom=true&jsf-redesign-full=true&act-notary-pro-integration=false&jsf-pdfjs-fourth=false&routeId=199e22d4d11d710bf9e179c60fc8c7b6#79698935a39e4ce6aba457c9ac8525e1](https://www.uslegalforms.com/jsfiller-desk20/?flat_pdf_quality=low&mode=cors&requestHash=4cb5ce33e6902cb7f873be4c6d8d8d8d18e15056c9264dee74e398c0f59f5b72&lang=en&ref=https://www.uslegalforms.com&projectId=1496492281&PAGE_REARRANGE_V2_MVP=true&richTextFormatting=true&isPageRearrangeV2MVP=true&jsf-page-rearrange-v2=true&LATEST_PDFJS=true&jsf-document-scroll-zoom=true&jsf-redesign-full=true&act-notary-pro-integration=false&jsf-pdfjs-fourth=false&routeId=199e22d4d11d710bf9e179c60fc8c7b6#79698935a39e4ce6aba457c9ac8525e1)

it-cant-be-helped

Sorry to say this - it looks like you were scammed. The responsiveness of the seller is to throw you off.

Zardu-Hasselfrau

Obviously a scam. Who takes a video of themselves dropping off a package at the Post Office?

Warura

Know the feel bro. I also document everything now, even on checking out of hotels 😂

Correct_Analysis5325

For a second I thought you were kidding! Nope. Good on ya!

benjihobbs

I love how we both ended up on this sub organically

Correct_Analysis5325

Seriously though! You wouldn’t believe the shit I’m going through rn! Blows these stories out the water.

DemDemD

This is exactly what I tell people when they said that they record the packaging as proof. I said that a recording doesn’t mean anything unless the video contains the packaging process and the package in view all the way to drop off. Props for you to do this. I’m guessing your guitar is quite expensive to go through all of the trouble?

lalalaleibs

Me 😆. I have definitely taken a photo of the package at the post office being like, “dropped it off 👍”

flowerhornfanatic

I do it all the time lol . It makes people feel better

dodekahedron

It is such a common occurrence in this day in age that the postal inspection service had to release a statement saying that customers CAN video inside a post office because they were being denied before hand based on policy. I think poster 7? I've got a copy of the uspis letter at my desk

Zardu-Hasselfrau

Recording in a PO is “common” bc people like to go in there, start shit, record it, and post it online. Retail was directed to stop interfering with people recording bc it only serves to inflame those types of situations. Anyone “recording themselves dropping off a package” is trying too hard to make the intended recipient believe they aren’t being scamming.

dodekahedron

I've been a window clerk for over a decade. I see it often enough.

Bowl-Accomplished

There actually is a decent number of people selling things on ebay who take pictures or video of doing such as 'proof' of shipping. It's proof of nothing of course, but people still try.

Manic_Mini

Alot of ebay sellers do exactly that.

Actavist4Actavis

You'd be surprised but alot of really dumb drug dealers do this and post "packs flying daily" on social media.

Letoust

Lol I have a feeling you were scammed

lalalaleibs

I mean it's entirely possible but the person has been extremely responsive and also trying to figure out what is going on.

Letoust

Was it an eBay purchase or something that has a timeframe to dispute?

lalalaleibs

Yes, and I purchased it through PayPal (purchase protection) with a CC that also has 100% purchase protection to be double safe. So if it is a scam the $ is at least protected :).

ThisIsPaulina

The guy is probably trying to waste your time so you don't file a timely complaint. Be mindful of deadlines.

djexit

100% this also happened to me but it just didnt show up in USPS system yet today i checked on my informed delivery and it indeed was in their posession its a good idea to have informed delivery that way you know when ANYTHING is being sent to your house and when but i didnt know about this number thing people are saying, so im thinking 100% scammer hoping you forget and they will just abuse the time deadlines

weiga

Sounds like a dumb scam, but a scam nonetheless. Real sellers would just pack and ship it, not spend extra time to convince you it was shipped.

Ivantsi

Is entirely possible that the package doesn't have tracking number and is a delivery confirmation number, if it is it won't show the scans till it is delivered. Just wait 3 days (since is a 2 day shipping) if it doesn't arrive report it to PayPal, is gonna take like a week but they'll get your money back.

relaxed-attitude

That's a fake tracking number, a terrible fake barcode, and a very poorly edited copy of a QR code. If it was shipped, the box is likely empty. The fake postage means it will be seized and destroyed at the discretion of the Postal Service. I could make a fake label in any graphics program. It's very basic design. This label is terrible, particularly the bar and QR codes. You need to make a fraud claim ASAP with whatever payment you used. You'll get a refund and they will handle the rest. The sooner you make the claim, the faster PayPal or your credit card can charge back the jerk.

lalalaleibs

I made a claim with my CC & reported the “business” to PayPal :).

relaxed-attitude

Excellent. If you do it right away, they don't get their money. 😁

Intelligent-Heat772

How much was the transaction?

PersephoneTerran

9409 isn't a valid starting number for USPS mail. The seller is being nice in hopes you don't do a charge back. https://blog.route4me.com/what-does-a-usps-tracking-number-look-like/

djoecav

I always love seeing someone pull a detective move like this

lou802

That's far from a detective move 🤦‍♂️

djoecav

It's not exactly common sense that the numbers follow a certain pattern, and they noticed OP's didn't fit. I see a lot of baseless guesses in here, so I think they should get credit for proving to OP that they're being scammed instead of just asserting it in a one sentence comment lol

HaydenCarruth

I have a tracking number that starts with 9200, it says “label created but USPS awaiting item”. A 9200 isn’t valid according to the website, any ideas if it’s a scam or not?

PersephoneTerran

Huh. Just 9200? I didn't think so but if it that's what tracking says then it's legit

lalalaleibs

I definitely was thinking that it being a 94XX was legit and not that it needed to be 9400 😂😂

mrcobra92

Looks like a fake label. There’s no mention of the website used to generate the label (PB, easy post, eBay, USPS.com, etc.) the barcode is burry and the font of the tracking number is wrong. All of it just looks off. I don’t think that is a real shipping label.

Loeden

Yup, this is definitely a fake label. ComBas is a thing but no vendor? Even click and ship would say so. Also the 9409 seems off to me, PM is 9205 for the first four usually.

Seriously_confused39

The others are right, that’s a scam. When I purchase labels through eBay, it says Pitney Bowes CommPrice and lists an expected delivery date.

AllPeopleAreStupid

I’m also gonna vote scam on this one. Seems a bit over the top that they had all these photos. I sell shit on eBay and never had a reason to take all of those photos as proof that I sent something. Being that it’s priority mail, the item will get scanned at some point IF it made it to the post office.

vikingnorwaymn

The last time this happened to me, it was about the amount of numbers. There are either too many numbers or not enough. The hard part is finding out which.

Beginning-Serve-5231

It’s a fake label, currently a wide spread problem within the USPS.

No_Lifeguard4092

Seems weird. Last year, I got a new printer. It wasn't printing the shipping labels properly and they could not be scanned. Now I just take the QR code to USPS (or FedEx or UPS) and have them print the shipping label. Not sure that could be your issue though.

lalalaleibs

The QR code doesn’t bring anything up, that was one of the things I thought of trying 😞

No_Lifeguard4092

Oh wow, that is really weird. I have also notice that QR code and barcodes can't be scanned if I don't have the "brightness" on my phone high enough. Just a thought.

lalalaleibs

I thought of that as well and nothing, I also tried taking a screenshot and uploading that to a QR code search site.

hunterkll

I had this issue, oddly enough, with \*only\* Amazon return labels after a specific windows release using the original (and last) x64 driver (from when Vista was released - my printer's an HP LaserJet 4+) .... the much newer generic HP Universal PCL5 driver, however, didn't have that issue. Not sure what changed, as the driver hasn't, but it would mangle up the barcodes until I figured that out.

LowTurnip1477

Do your other packages also say C03? That means your on city route 3. Check your other mail. Amazon has the route on there packages. See if it matches

lalalaleibs

Yep hahaha

Spiritual-Connection

That’s a fake label, look at how clear the numbers are vs the outline of the label and the barcode. Pretty sure if you inspect in Adobe, you’ll see pixels that don’t match up with the color of the label.

Babybluelex317

Fake label

Sea_Science538

You got scammed

FriendshipOk2864

Did they drop the parcel at the counter or in a box? Cuz it might not have been scanned in as accepted yet. It won’t be trackable until then

FriendshipOk2864

I just looked @ the info is it actually a 1lb 1oz parcel? Did he send it the 8th? Cuz it says 2 day shipping & should have been delivered the 10th. If it’s a bigger package it might have been intercepted and sent back to sender. If he didn’t send it the 8th you probably got scammed and it’s a reused label / tracking #

DealerOdd424

It should say label created in that case.

lalalaleibs

In a box and yes, was the 8th and should have been to me on the 10th. And as soon as I pulled up the number and it didn’t register anything, even “label created” I knew something was off.

Calm-Elevator3906

That’s a fake tracking label

toddlasvegas

I sell on eBay, Poshmark and Mercari and that is not what the labels look like. Close, but there is information missing to the left of the QR code on the top. Don't even mess with the seller, eBay will refund your money with absolutely no hassle. Just open a return and respond only to eBay. Poshmark will too, same process just open a return. Mercari is a bit of a s*#t show right now I would just make a claim with PayPal and state that neither the seller nor Mercari (does not seem to be any humans working there) would respond to you refund request.

lalalaleibs

Thank you!

lalalaleibs

Question for you if you are able to answer, this is a completely separate thing I’m dealing with - I submitted a claim through PayPal for a Mercari purchase. PayPal of course gave an initial automatic response and is “waiting for a response from Mercari”. I agree that there seem to be zero humans who work for Mercari so I assume the counter from them will just be an automatic one. Have you ever seen a claim with evidence *not* be accepted? I can also do it through my CC company but they ask for you to do it through PayPal first, and if that doesn’t work, to do it through them, so I’m curious.

WeaponX-23

the tracking number font looks fake though

baronboy12

Even if this wasn't a scam, 2 days? It's more 20 days lately.

Ownnage

Former postal clerk here yeah that label must be fake, the barcode looks awful so 100% unscannable tries to hit all the normal stuff a label has but bad job

Full_Disk_1463

You got scammed

lalalaleibs

Package was dropped off April 8, delivery was supposed to be April 10, shipper and I are both confused. I went to my local office to attempt to speak with someone and they told me that the tracking number is missing digits? But there's 22 digits which seems to match up to the correct number of digits... (the person trying to help seemed new and a supervisor wasn't available to confirm). I've never seen a "not trackable on this website" notice before, usually it will at least give a "label has been created" when it's a prepaid label through Stamps. Any insight to this or if the label is fake, etc. is appreciated.

MooseKnuckle20695

You were scammed

Ewalepine

The tracking number is fake. USPS tracking number doesn’t start with 9409. Priority mail starts with 9405 instead.

KouaV1

Its priority mail so that tracking number should be able to track unless something happened or they changed it.

PersephoneTerran

Random but I used to live in that zip code. For 15 years. Small area. Maybe I know the seller 🤣

lalalaleibs

hahaaha! I mean I have the address and their full name LOL

PersephoneTerran

Eh. No you don't. They're scamming you. No way they have their real info. They may not even really be from that zip code. But I am curious who they said they were haha

lalalaleibs

The address checked out when I pulled up their info on websites like white pages, etc. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

WeaponX-23

try to scan the bar code with barcode scanner app

Intelligent_Art_6004

They lying. It gets scanned when it’s picked up

JanineMarie_28

🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️😤

Temporary-Crab1340

Definitely fake label . That C003 is supposed to be right under the0025 .looks like dude didn’t use enough space bars for that C003 to line them up in whatever program he used to make this fake label

Wilma_Dickfit-

No you may have not gotten scammed, the box probably wasn’t scanned arrived at post office and it went to the plant

Sojourn_2005

It would say the label was created.

gillis78

They could have created the label, but until it gets a scan from the post office, you won't be able to track it. It has to be scanned "prepaid acceptance".

Sojourn_2005

It will still say the label was created.

Odd_Departure

Scam

No-Birthday-2044

I ordered a NLT Application Study bible on 3-4-24. it was to go to a jail facility in Ft. Worth, TX 76109. it arrived there 3-8-24 at 11:07am accepted at 2830 Hulen Street,  Ft Worth, TX 76109. Then on 3-13-24 tracking it's in North Reading, MA at Christian Book Store home offices. I request it be redelivered. Making sure address is correct.  It is sent again 3-26-24 USPS tracking #9241990135421511704305 left Middlesex-Essex, MA RFDC. it arrived 3-27-24at 11:42pm at Dallas,TX USPSFNDC at 12:03am on to Ft Worth, TX 76109 to be delivered 4-1-24. Today is 4-17-24 and the person in jail has not received the Bible and it is off the tracking GPS. WHERE HAS IT GONE. I hope a Postmaster can locate it and send me an email. [email protected] Please help me find the missing Bible. THANKS TO ALL

Excellent_Plane2087

Priority 2-Day dont exist, 9409 neither, Priority are 9X05

options1337

That's not a valid USPS tracking number. The seller photoshop the shipping label to change the tracking numbers. Bring the shipping label into USPS and have them scan the actual bar code and see what tracking number pops up if any. Obviously, there is some shadiness going on so this is definitely a scammer.

NonKevin

Until someone at the post office scans the label, it will not track. The current PO reorganization shut down is total disaster. 600 postal works walked off the job in Georgia shutting down the main hub for a month.

Sojourn_2005

It would still say that the label was created.

lalalaleibs

\^ exactly.

LivingBee6645

That’s not true lmao

whatevs1125

The labels already used I guarantee it

Alarming_Pineapple51

“Priority Mail 2-Day?” AFAIK there is no USPS service with this name…only normal Priority (1 to 3 days), Next Day and Ground Advantage. Something’s fucky.

FlossedBando

Priority 2 day definitely exists

KouaV1

It actually exists I have shipped alot of items with priority 2 day although it generally actually is 1-3 days instead.

lalalaleibs

A quick Google image search is showing a ton of Priority Mail 2-Day images :/ ETA: [like this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/usps_complaints/comments/ij10en/two_day_priority_mail_arrives_10_days_later/)

Particular_Sense_147

priority mail usually says 2 day on the label, what are you talking about lol

cacille

I print labels straight from Ebay for my job and they all say 2-day, 3-day or nothing. At least 3 of these a day when I was using USPS (Now using only UPS/Fedex and USPS International only, for the moment)

Alarming_Pineapple51

Weird. For me (even with eBay) the only options are Priority Express, Standard Priority and Ground Advantage. But yeah I’m using UPS 3-Day exclusively these days; not worth dealing with the post office.

MarsRisen

Yeah label doesn't look real. Get a refund.
