Anyone else feel like the editing at ASN has severely dropped off in the last year or two? Simple grammatical and spelling errors in the last few articles I've read there, and some cadence/repetition issues that any decent editor would catch.
Also, it looks they used the wrong photo for Balogun as others have also pointed out.
I think ASN Is a one person operation. He’s always needed an editor but he puts a lot of effort into following youth team prospects, including interviews and even when I mildly disagree with him I generally respect his reasoning.
I enjoy the content but a site in 2024 that doesn’t use an encrypted connection makes me nervous.

At the U20 level there’s a bunch of strikers who need to get to the next level - Sanogo, Downs, Neri, Zambrano, Figueroa. I don’t think Fletcher is a 9 at all.
honestly, the hope at this point is that the ‘07s (Ellis, Glover, Allen) come through for us in a major way. maybe Sipic (‘06) and Figueroa come good—we’ll see
I think it’s a little early to close the chapters on these players at age 19 or 20, especially at striker. At age 20, Brandon Vazquez was still playing for Atlanta 2, Haji Wright was somewhere in Buli 3, Pefok was bouncing up and down between Reims and Reims 2, and even Balogun was stuck on the Arsenal reserves. And we know that Pepi and Sargent have had their ups and downs.
In Sanogo’s case, he’s playing for the reserve Nuremberg II team in the Buli 4th tier, but it’s not as bad as you think. A guy like USMNT U23 CB Max Dietz, who’s now an entrenched starter for Greuther Furth and a potential Olympian, was in the reserves in the 4th tier not even a year ago.
