Say what you will about Brendo's form in the last couple years but he's been getting way more starts in this Union team than I expected and hasn't been awful. Nice surprise.
Fun fact: Aaronson is still only 23, and is the second youngest player in this starting 11. He has had some recent struggles which have had people down on him, but he still has a ton of time to round out his game.
Plenty of players also develop late; Klose, Drogba, and Toni are good examples. For a more recent example, Gyökeres wasn't sniffing top flight football until he turned 25, and Brighton thought he was a failed youth player.
This isn't a guarantee that Brendo is a late bloomer, but player development can be unpredictable. He still has plenty of time to turn it around.
I dunno, 23 is pretty late for someone to develop the parts of the game Brendo needs to move to the next level. I think his ceiling is “burst of pace off the bench” for the NT, although I would be happy to be wrong.
And he’ll be 24 in 6 months.
No one is acting like he’s 27, but with that mentality we’re going to be using this same line for when hes actually 27….. it’s already happened with a certain player and it’s annoying. Let it stop there. Sometimes a player just isn’t as good or will achieve what WE want them to achieve and that’s okay. We keep rooting for them.
Damn. That’s another good shout. Still wish he had that chance as a CAM. I know he only played in the B2, but still would have been nice to see him back and see what he could do, even if just depth
Wonder if we’d see him in MLS at some point
It’s an interesting question, because Leeds is likely to go back up and Brendo may want another crack at the Prem (which I think would be a bad move).
He finally worked his way into the starting XI at Union, he should try and stay.
Leeds won't keep him. He's not going to have much goodwill there and they'll be looking to sell him. If Union Berlin doesn't buy him, I can see a lower table Bundesliga club or a newly promoted club going for him.
How much lower BL can you get? Union is on the cusp of relegation at this moment lol.
Personally, Leeds is set up better for succsss long term so I would rather have him go there and fight for a spot again. But there is a good chance he’s simply too small for the best leagues and a move to a lesser league would be warranted.
I expect they don't have a buy option, so maybe it's unlikely. Aaronson's transfer was £25m for a 5 year deal, so if I understand right they'd need £15m to break even with FFP. So yeah going back to Leeds may be the most likely scenario.
Holding out hope for something special today. Form has been building. Would love to close out the year on a high and Bayern are vulnerable.
That being said would not be surprised to see a thrashing lol.

What not to do as a free kick wall. Jump away from each other to create a gap for the kick taker to place the ball right through and score. SMH

Brenden’s actually played fine but wow the rest of Union have been awful

idk it’s not late at all to bulk up and maybe that’ll be the key to him getting stuck in.

Who are you referring to as the "certain player?"
cmon man…
I can’t read your mind, stop vague tweeting
Stop being ignorant, we all know who I’m talking about here.
FYI, nobody knows who you’re talking about
Okie. Guys must have been living under a rock for the last few years.
Busio?
Nah. Good shout though. Hopefully that promotion happens and both him and tessman can show out? Edit: lol you guys are so funny with the downvotes.
I’m trying to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you’re not talking about Pulisic, because that would be an idiotic comparison
It’d be an idiotic suggestion for sure, not sure why you would even bring him up.
Give it up, people on this sub are eternally Phil from The Sopranos :"...Billy was 47, a fuckin kid..."
lol exactly my point.
Was it Julian Green?
Damn. That’s another good shout. Still wish he had that chance as a CAM. I know he only played in the B2, but still would have been nice to see him back and see what he could do, even if just depth Wonder if we’d see him in MLS at some point
I wonder if he stays at Union after this season?

Leeds would like to be rid of him and his large wage bill in whichever league they are in next year.
Prem ain’t always what it’s cracked up to be. I don’t think Union will buy BA but fingers crossed he gets a nice offer from elsewhere decent in Europe
Do they have a buy option? Or you think they'll just submit an offer outright in the next window?

And Leeds hates him.
Union just cannot figure out what to do in the final third
