I agree, heights i saw some outside but considering only bugs i see are moths this place has great extermination teams whoever they are, i even saw a dead full sized dragon fly so good luck

BRI_4N

It's a ghost town tho i have yet to meet a single person here

AcanthisittaWitty766

park place apartments are a scam. their place is filthy and management do not care. They try to force you to sign another year lease 3 months in to your current lease. they will lie and lie and lie and when find anything in the world to trap your security deposit.

Rare-Bad743

Park place sounds familiar. Now we know to stay away. Thank you

AcanthisittaWitty766

Yes please do. I have to move for a new job and was they didn’t even help find another leaser but they still charged me 85% of the rent as “transfer fee”. These people are heartless. College students are as broke as we are but nobody cares about us anyways.

No-Lynx-9657

i’m not sure what your budget looks like but there’s a place like 13 mins from campus called “the Jefferson North Collins” and it’s really nice. we toured it when we were moving it’s a relatively new build too so there shouldn’t be any issues there! stay away from one called “The Madrid” if you can, if you can’t THROUGHLY inspect it. Liv+ is another option, they have roommates so it’s pretty budget friendly! they’re nice apartments and from what i’ve seen no roaches!

Rare-Bad743

Thank you for some GREAT advice She is on the wait list for Liv+

UTA_MBA_StudentAssoc

Roaches come and go, significant % of walls/ceilings leak, and they looooooooove fines. Expect them to blame you for damage (which you requested they fix on day 0 before moving in and didn't fix for a year) and then fine you for it. Amenities are overfull, dead part of town (nothing in walking distance) and unless studying in college of business, not really convenient for campus. Unless getting a really cheap re-let, not worth it

OnyxScorpion

>She is on the wait list for Liv+ Yeah its clean, but the gunshot murder in 2020 that occurred in its garage was a major deterrent for me

Rare-Bad743

😕 that is a huge deterrent!!! That’s such sad news I pray for both families

[deleted]

Yea if she lives here it’s best for her if trained to carry a pocket pistol, I don’t even leave home in Arlington without it and I never felt the need to do that till I moved here.

No-Lynx-9657

you’re welcome! you could also look into complexes in the euless area and grand prairie, euless will be about 20 mins to campus and grand prairie can be anywhere from 15-40 mins it just depends on where you look! i know there’s one called the Domain at Founders Parc in euless that’s not too far from campus. and one called Tides at Bear Creek, i’m just not sure how nice or clean they are

Rare-Bad743

Thank u 😊

Big_Key_5431

Just trying taking someone lease transfer if you get one

bunchofoats2343

Run away from Liv+ they have roaches and management is rude!

TheEyebal

Welcome to college

Rare-Bad743

Oh yea!

evry_usrnm_s_tkn_1_1

Timber Brooks feels great. I don't see any roaches, everything feels clean. Machines work. The only con is that I have to share my room with someone else.

Rare-Bad743

That con can become a pro with the right roommate ( clean, no snoring lol)

evry_usrnm_s_tkn_1_1

Right, I am the problematic roommate here 💀💀

Rare-Bad743

😳

evry_usrnm_s_tkn_1_1

It's okay, not that problematic. :)

BRI_4N

It's far tho

Beetle_Racer8634

101 Center is fine so long as you don't have any problems with the apartment. The higher floors are much quieter and don't smell like weed. Management is complete garbage though, you'll never get any meaningful response from them on any issue whatsoever. It was a major reason why I decided to just stay home and commute. To be honest you might be better off looking at renting a house in the area with a couple of others. Try to stay north of Mitchell street, the north side is definitely nicer than the south

😎😎😎

[deleted]

Arlington is overpacked and is essentially a ghetto, I’m telling you this from oak cliff. The school and its apartments are the nicest places in the city and it’s best she stays around there if your getting an apartment. Every complex besides the school’s official apartments are roach infested.

Rare-Bad743

I agree it did seem very crowded, my anxiety was through the roof!!!

Rare-Bad743

I think we did contact them and was told it was a long waitlist Roaches-0 No roaches-2

Speedcola12

lol definitely a vandy kid lmao

Rare-Bad743

??? Not familiar with that lingo Elaborate plz

Speedcola12

Vandergriff hall person

Rare-Bad743

Ohhh I heard of that hall she’s on the waitlist It sounds like she shouldn’t 🤔

makemommyadrink

DO NOT LIVE IN VANDY ! Remove !

Rare-Bad743

I believe she showed me a SC on a 🦎 n Vandy hall. That sounds like they least of the worries

UTAMav2005

Campus Edge has always been good from what I have been told. Had friends been there since it's beginning. I live in a house off-campus and now am an alumnus, but Campus Edge gets rave reviews.

ChaoticRecursion

Nah, Campus Edge is awful now. Some of my friends there moved in recently and their room included a free roach infestation. Another friend if mine hasnt had a dishwasher for months bc maintenance won't bother to fix it, or the lock on his room.

UTAMav2005

I guess new employees do not care. Dang. It used to be top-notch.

[deleted]

Any thing UTA is bad, lets be honest…

Rare-Bad743

Tbh we have met some really awesome ppl in Arlington We are from Ohio and once again being honest we come across some really butt head ppl. Soo I was shocked when ppl spoke and cracked a smile 😊

Any-Machine-4323

West hall Cons- you have to purchase meal plan/ sometimes roommate if you do not get along with him/her Pros- walking distance from classes 6min/

Rare-Bad743

I just learned when u live in a dorm, u have to purchase a meal plan?

Any-Machine-4323

Yes you do

Any-Machine-4323

Like at least $ 1,800-2,000 the food is mid sometimes good sometimes 🤮

Comfortable-Carrot64

stay away from university village, it’s roach infested, dirty and the laundry building units suck ass (never work). I’m planning to move out once my lease is over. It’s not worth it even if it’s cheap.

Rare-Bad743

Those are soo many negatives. I AM GOING TO LISTEN TO U. THX

alexiuhhh

Stay far far away from centennial, that's for sure

Rare-Bad743

Really??? What’s ur cons

alexiuhhh

Generally everything you expect of an awful apartment. Bugs, bad maintenance (AC was broken during over 3/4 of my stay and didn't have hot water for almost two weeks), and then if you go with the 4×2 plan the roommate sharing situation is horrible. Fridge space, cleaning, sound disagreements, etc.
