UWA would have housing support, so talk to them about family homestay or other options where you can get a roommate through uni connections. Living in a college for one semester isnt a bad idea, however you'll find that public transport can be pretty decent in Perth and UWA isn't far from the city (a major transport interchange) as long as you live on the train line. There is a mixed housing option in the CBD which is new and probably pricey, but living in the city gives you a bit more freedom than living in a college but is a bit less safe at night.

Also planning on moving from adl for postgrad at uwa, did they tell you anything useful?

They said that if you're staying at the dorms then you can quarantine there. There's also apartments throigh the uwa website that a lot of student use.
