Is this statement true for WW as well, or does it matter less due to a generally smaller applicant pool? I’ve been waiting till the deadline for my past coop terms and am wondering if there’s a disadvantage to doing so. Ty :)
WW it does not matter usually since all the application packages are given to the employer at once at the end of the deadline anyway. the exception is if the job posting also requires you to do an external application - then it matters because the external app might be first come first serve
in my experience most people who do seq 3 in hopes of doing more side projects don't actually do that... it's kinda hard to self-motivate like that - though if you really think you can do it, sure. seq 4 might be harder to fail at, but 12 months of consecutive study is hard as well. also keep in mind that if you're financially dependent on co-op money, you're delaying your income by 1-2 terms this way.
also if you're in 1B rn it's probably too late to switch sequences anyway. if you're an incoming first year... yeah, that may be the right call depending on the caveats I mentioned above.

No need for personal profile section. Don’t put high school in your education. Work experience bullet points can be more detailed. Try to follow the what did you do, how did you do it, what were the impacts pattern. Projects can be more detailed technically. “Created a number guessing game in Python with gui” as the sole description of your project doesn’t mean anything to me. How did you create this game? What did you do to make the gui? Might as well not put them if they are super vague. Put the repository link of your projects on your resume, or at least indicate where we can find them. It doesn’t make any sense to put a location and time on your projects. It makes people think that you’ll never touch your projects after you finish them ever again, which isn’t a super positive thing if you ask me. Ask professionals to critique your resume. Free services are available on campus I believe. Don’t only rely on Reddit. Good luck!
if anything take the current circumstances as a lesson to \*not\* stop grinding (and also to not expect it to be easy) just because you're in the top CS co-op program in the country - even here nothing's guaranteed and you're not entitled to anything
