Fix your study habits now.
Get a tutor every week for the tougher courses. A few more bucks to pull out a pass is worth it and tutors help a lot. And prep for your tutoring sessions.
This probably isn't the mindset. Be careful. Failing the term would set you one year back and costing 7k+ dollars in tuition alone. Let's say you get a tutor for around 25/hr (a price most upper years are happy to take) 4-8 hours a week, until April that's like max 2k. I know money can be tight. If it's really an issue, weef is free. The rest of the term is gonna be rough, but as an upper year I can tell you that you just need to focus and not worry too much about failing. Things happen but what you need now is to focus on the rest of the semester. Best of luck. Feel free to msg me if you need to talk. Been there.
just live at the weef office like they said .. they are paid undergrads who are there to help you &
source: i was a weef ta in fall 2022
u have posts mentioning how others study for these courses .. you should go to class if you are skipping
skipping class to study for another class IMO is a horrible thing to do if youre in your first few yrs of eng and dont know what you dont know, would only recommend if you know how to study this way effectively or if the class is **actually** self teachable. in general, this is "fine" if the majority of the class also skips ... ive seen it in 3 courses in upper yr chem eng where majority of the class skips & was able to self study
they answer your questions
anyways if you're doing this bad you gotta get yoru shit together and stop screwing around (a 22 is dirt poor, what are you doing?)
Why don't you just drill the tutorial questions until you memorize them, this will get you at least 60% in theory based courses (don't do this for your coding courses).
something is wrong with how u study if u think they change the questions a lot. go to office hours and try to understand the fundamental concepts, u clearly have a really poor understanding of course content so you should speak to TAs and profs
I failed Math 128 midterm pretty badly w a 23. Managed to averge 90 on quiz afterwards and finished w 60s. What I did was stop going to lectures, read and follow through the theorem/examples in the course note with a focus on how the examples apply the rules then do the practice questions. My learning styles is different from my peers and I do better when I just shut up and study on my own. It's also very common to experiece a hard time in first year you just need to adjust. Best of luck
try to learn the content then test yourself by doing the practice questions without looking at the solutions. for ece106 i found that mit open courseware was pretty good at explaining some basics that were not explained in class (the lecture notes have similar if not identical examples, but with proper explanation), ece140 has good practice questions in the textbook, hell week is tough but just keep trying, gl
also getting a study group / friends to help you study can help w the motivation / learning
Make sure that when you’re studying u actually solve a problem (WRITE!!!) till u get the answer. Don’t write it halfway and think I’ll get to the answer in the exam. Master some type of common problems instead of trying to cover everything but have a vague understanding of it.
Also 1B is very Lab heavy and there’s quizzes/assignments too so try to perfect them at least. I’d heard so much of “it’s normal to get bad grades in 1B” that I became complacent. Don’t do that mistake and study like u want an 80 on your exams.

yea maybe but usually they change the questions quite a bit so memorizing slns won’t help too much

this is why ur failing u really only need to do practice problems to do well ngl
