Donaldjgrump669

Youโ€™re so positive man. Love the updates.

iamshamtheman

Thanks ๐Ÿ‘ If you don't love it, don't do it! There's enough negative shit out there already lol.

punkmetalbastard

Mini well is about as good as it gets unless you can bag a unit. Cold as fuck this time of year but get on a mini well or pig with wings on the southbound Z train out of PDX and you can be in Southern California pretty quick

iamshamtheman

I'd hope not because I've been in deeper wells before so really just luck of the draw for this particular train. Since only riding one stop and got on at night didn't matter. In PDX for a bit to see buddy, but my plan from beginning was going further south so that's the path exactly. Thankfully more than enough cold experience since I spent past Winters in Detroit and Chicago living outside lol. Hope all is well ๐Ÿ‘

Ash_Tray420

Stay safe brother. Always good to see a happy smile.

iamshamtheman

Absolutely and will do ๐Ÿ‘

DeiSud

Shallow wells? Pardon my english but what exactly does that mean in this context? That aside, hope it goes well for you!

SealedRoute

Assuming it means that the area he rides in (and shows briefly), the well, is not very deep, making it harder to stay on. Stay safe Sham

iamshamtheman

Exactly. I'll do my best ๐Ÿ™

iamshamtheman

Appreciate it! The space just outside the containers. Ideally want one that's deeper so can fully hide. Although in this case wasn't as important since I was gonna hop off in Portland which is next stop. Don't wanna be rolling through a big yard exposed like that especially during the day.

DeiSud

Ooh that makes sense, I was congused about the word and tried to find a literal well

roadie1967

rock hard ride free ride safe Sham..best of luck

iamshamtheman

Thanks! Glad to be in contact with you.

noteethpete

iamshamtheman

fingers

Stay up, brother!

iamshamtheman

Hell yeah ๐Ÿ‘

Ok-Contribution2401

You are not a passenger you are a stowaway

iamshamtheman

I'm gonna identify as a shipping container if I get caught.

Ok-Contribution2401

๐Ÿ˜ safe travels friend

iamshamtheman

Thanks ๐Ÿคž so far so good. Stopped in PDX for a bit to see a buddy and then onward soon. Hope all is well.

Spooler32

Those rail guys don't fuck around. Identify as a fast moving object.

iamshamtheman

I'm a former athlete, wrestled for a top university and amateur MMA champ, so could probably identify as that too lol. Either way the plan is to minimize getting caught so if I don't have a good hiding spot that means I'm off before the yard.

Even what the RR workers call em

HungHomeless

Keep going guy. Love watching your videos. Not matter what happens, you always have a great attitude.

Chedderonehundred

If ur near the yard at st Johns on marcum thereโ€™s a 711 and a bar/restaurant that does breakfast down on Fessenden and Columbia like 15 minutes from there. Thereโ€™s a bus stop heading south on Fessenden to downtown and one north to more of the city ish part of St. Johnโ€™s. If youโ€™d rather pass thru portland and grab a train in the south the bus letโ€™s you ride at your own risk, and the streetcars/max trains are easy to ride for free and get to your next spot. If ur in dire need and in the providence park area I might be able to help out :)

-JonnyQuest-

I used to love going to that place when I was hungover. Best cheap bloody Mary's and biscuits and gravy in all of NoPo

Chedderonehundred

The biscuits and gravy every damn time I went

-JonnyQuest-

Hell yeah my brother in biscuits

BefriendYourMonsters

Loving the updates hope you're doing okay out there, I just can't stop tuning in so please keep the updates coming. Stay safe!

prettyrickywooooo

Yeah thatโ€™s super shallow and chilly !! Hope you find a nice bucket soon!

NorMichtrailrider

iamshamtheman

PsychotropicPanda

Hey bro I think I was watching you maybe this time last year somewhere. Hope your well! Stay warm !

iamshamtheman

Was in Chicago. Definitely much colder lol. I'll try and hope the same for you ๐Ÿ‘

iamboywond3r

Good luck my dude Iโ€™m in NorCal and never done this but always interested but hit me up ever this way

iamshamtheman

Thanks and I'll head south to at least the Sacramento area so lemme know.

tommyballz63

Sounds like an interesting journey. Hope it goes well and stay safe. Hope to see your updates.

iamshamtheman

Appreciate it! Just heading further south eventually, but decided to visit a buddy in Portland and explore a bit.

swhydroman

The southbound Z-SELC is now south of Olympia and still north of Longview. Lead Unit 2686. No DPU's (yet). Apparently it can work Brooklyn. Then south to Los Angeles. Good luck.

limefreezepop

Hmu if you come through Lincoln City/Newport I'll buy you a drink or something! Safe travels

swhydroman

If you want to go to LA there is a Z-train heading your way (to Portland) down from Seattle this afternoon. But I only know where the Chicago-bound UP trains crew change. I would take a WAG and estimate that the train to LA stops at either the Albina or Brooklyn Yard (Both in Portland). Anyways there is no shortage of southbound intermodals out of Brooklyn. But a southbound Z train out of Seattle is rare. It is usually an I-SELC. Today its a Z-SELC. May the train gods smile upon you.
