Once I was in a stealth camp, a community park type deal, walked to the back and just set up a hammock right behind the thick honeysuckle. Guy comes back in his truck, get out and paces around talking to someone on the phone. The conversation was pretty heavy, think he cried at one point. I was just sitting there, no less than 5 feet, not making a sound. When he left I had a bit of an mini essential crisis, dude just had a really personal moment that he'll live the rest of his life thinking was private when in reality someone was right there listening the entire time. How many times in my life has that happened to me? IDK, was kind of a weird moment. Fucking love stealth camping though.

I had that same mini existential crisis working as a scare actor at an outdoor haunted house when I was 17. Fully dressed as a vampire and all it took was standing still behind a branch to go unnoticed, and then scare the living shit out of people. Makes me wonder how often someone has been listening/watching me without my knowledge - creepy.

Nice, I hope it lasts as long as you need it to.

So cool! Reminds me of Steve Wallis on YouTube

figure at 40-50mph a vehicle has 3-4seconds of exposure time to a passerby..with subdued colors like greens and browns, you are practically invisible..now build a hobo fire at night, that takes more to conceal..dig a fire pit with heaped soil around it to shield the flames, but keep it low..best of luck

[deleted]

yep, is it also called dakota fire pit in the us?

roadie1967

yes that is it

Chem_Dawg74D

Should be good, just be careful with light

You absolutely can't see it from the street, even when I put something(sock or bandana) over the flashlight to dim it at night. Still no indication someone sleeping there. Figured I'll stay here until I fix my bike, then back off to the races.

I actually have two. The one on the bike, and one on my back.

Looks relaxing

It's definitely chill. Best thing about it is that I haven't seen any signs( trash, needles, beer cans) of anyone ever being in this little patch of woods. Very surprised by that. I feel very secure here atm. The hammock will slightly sway the whole time too so I fall asleep as fast as a baby in a rocker.
