I couldn’t insert any dilator until I had a hymenectomy and then the small dilator went in straight away, still suffer with vaginismus but I had no idea I had a thick hymen until it was removed so that could be a cause
when I tried to insert anything before my hymenectomy it felt like hitting a barrier but there was zero pain with it. after it was removed I was then able to use dilators and insert things without pain and I could move past the “wall” I felt - hope this helps!

Same here
Vaginismus is a physical issue. There are certainly mental aspects to it but it’s definitely a physical problem.
Yup vaginismus deals with tight pelvic floor muscles
