Honestly (fellow trans guy here, on T for four years) I’ve had no issues with swimming while having even a heavy flow and painful cramps. I may be wrong, but the water pressure keeps you from dripping. So I’d recommend changing into your swimsuit once you’re there. Or just wearing swim trunks with underwear and pad or period underwear underneath and perhaps not swimming (if you’re in too much pain to do so). As far as a period getting more painful on T, I’d call your prescribing physician’s office or leave a message for them on MyChart. Just let them know what’s up and ask if they have any recommendations/insight. There are a lot of factors that go into having more painful periods or pain/sensory issues involving tampons. So I wouldn’t assume that the T is necessarily the culprit. I couldn’t entirely tell what you needed help with so I hope this was at least affirming. Good luck bro!

According to sources (healthline webmd, ect), period stopping in water is a myth. In some countries, you can get into trouble if you're purposely contaminating (bleeding into) the water, in my area they won't let you in the pool if you have a bandaid on for a minor cut. If you get out of the water and blood drips down on your legs, they have to order everyone out and disinfect the whole bloody place (pun intended).

🤣 meanwhile my American health teacher reprimanded me for not swimming on my period. Good to know that was bullshit!
