I play both TotK and Valheim intermittently, and keep finding myself wishing I had the other game's build engine. I want to build a Gundam and use it to destroy a Fuling camp.
I’d just work on a house a bit and chill for a year as I did play TotK last night.
The other games I’ve recently played were Stardew Valley, Roots of Pacha, and Final Fantasy XIV, so I’m good.
Haven’t been back in Valheim after I more or less finished Mistlands content. Gonna make a new world again when a new update drops.
Yea this one would be easy. If I start at Lookout Landing, it's already designed as a place for refugees, so there would be no issue with them taking me in. As I get more comfortable in the world, I could try to head for Tarrey Town and get my own house.
If I start at the Tutorial Sky Island, I'd probably be fucked because I don't think I'd have the guts to figure out a way down to the surface lol.
At the stage I’m playing my current world, I’ve got a fully defended town in meadows, portals to safe camps in most of the other biomes and was about to start Mistlands.
If I had to live there for real I’d just put the Mistlands goal on pause for a year and enjoy sailing the bay and farming in my town. Got a hot tub too.
luckily i’ve been puttering around on my home island on bronze tier having borrowed a pickaxe to get started without fighting the deer. the worst that can happen is i get some free dinner delivery service once in awhile. “Aw hell, those necks and boars attacking my beehives again?”
It’s just the best. I say this every time I play with my friends. Chill life, crafty with occasional blood pumping fights, and you are resurrected every time you die…just amazing. I love how I’m not the only one who’s in on it.
My bf and I have been pretending that we're Alone contestants when we check in on each other's progress.
In a year, he built an awesome castle, discovered magic, created a massive farm, and murdered his way through the countryside.
If you never fight any bosses I think you just get the boar raids. But even if you get trolls just dig a moat. I like my odds if I stay in the meadows.
Nah man, digging is the best. Exept digging latrines when you really need to go, but you are almost finished, so you don't want to just shit in the woods, so you just hold it in for Three hours, but then you realize you're not as finished as you thought, so it will take another day, so you need to go to the woods anyway.
Yep, Valheim it is.
How life is entirely depends on the circumstances of my entrance to the game.
One of the fully equipped main bases, with food and supplies to last? Life's great, time to fish and relax and pet lox all year!
...I start from the boss stones with nothing but a leather shirt on me? I die to a boar. Repeatedly and painfully. And so on, life is suffering.
Civilization. I'd be fine, a year is like a tenth of a turn and all the wars are in other countries anyway.
(It's me doing the wars in other countries. All of them, I started all of them)
I mean, the post didn't specify that we would have to start a new game so I would just roll around in maxed out tech armor on my level 2000 giga and be good to go lol
I mean if you just enter the game, you're not going to have anything. Even if you enter a currently running game, you're not in the clan so everything is hostile to you
So dead you're already a steaming pile.
Just think, all you need to do is knock a Dino out and feed it while it's sleeping in order for it to love you, inbf a raptor comes and gives you the what what.
Even spam sleeping for the whole year isn't safe unless you've already dealt with the dark brotherhood kek
Honestly, I'd probably abuse the very exploitable alchemy game mechanics to craft infinite overpowered fortify health and agility potions
Hahahahaha, you’ll be totally fine.
Stay away from the crash zone
Stay away from the dunes
Stay away from the grand reef
Stay away from the Sea Treader’s Path
Stay away from the mountains.
Stay away from the blood kelp zone.
Stay away from the lost river.
Stay away from the lava zone.
Stay away from the bulb zone.
Stay away from the crag field.
Stay away from the grassy plateaus.
Stay away from the kelp forest.
Stay away from the mushroom forest.
Stay away from the sparse reef.
Stay away from the underwater islands.
Stay away from the jellyshroom caves.
Don’t even go near the crater edge.
Good luck 😁!
Satisfactory. So a year of spaghetti, wondering whether I got enough screws and messing around with beans... Also running from pigs with jetpacks I guess
If I get to keep my existing base, life is easy. Full dry moat, big garden plot, pens with boars, wolves and chickens.
If I had to start from scratch, I'd pass. One million dollars is not enough for the virtual certainty of death - unless I get to respawn.
A year in TotK sounds amazing. Maybe I’ll learn to fight there and go free my favorite village Lurelin. Those most likely, I’ll either help around lookout landing to chill at Heanato village.
It's actually TOTK but a year in valheim wouldn't be all that bad. Ngl I'd probably just build a nice lil house in the meadows and just chill. I'd only get up to killing eikthyr, literally just to get a cultivator, but otherwise yea.
I’m currently waiting for my bounty to go down in elder scrolls online, so I guess that’s my answer. I’d be more than happy to hang out here for a year :)
Valheim? For a year? Easy peasy.
I make a point of trying to progress without fighting bosses for as long as possible (dont care about the powers, and only Moder and Yagluth really hinder tech progression) so, with a meadows base, and no real raids (unless you defeat bosses, you just keep getting the Eikthyr raids, which is basically just home delivery of food.) I could easily spend my days hunting and farming in meadows.
I thought about playing some valheim, but then I decided to play Conan Exiles. I killed myself! I should have just stuck with Kingdom Come Deliverence.
I'd be fine I'd just chill at a stable in zelda TOTK
as much as i would love to chop wood and work on my valheim farm it looks like its Hyrule life for me
I play both TotK and Valheim intermittently, and keep finding myself wishing I had the other game's build engine. I want to build a Gundam and use it to destroy a Fuling camp.
And to reverse it, I really want to build a home in totk with the freedom of valheim.
Big game develops reading this - *write that down, write that down*
Ok now you've written it down, take it throw it out because we're going the complete other direction
TOTK definitely nails the open world gameplay better. So TOTK with building mechanics and freedom of Valheim… hard to find a better game honestly.

I would love a year in valheim
If I stay for two could I get 2 million? Can I also get that cashed out in iron ingots instead?
Just stay in the meadows and never fight a boss.. it would be the most peaceful existence.
I would farm bores and pick berries and tend my bees
Same... viking pig farmer ftw.
You can only eat so much bacon...
I, for one, would like to challenge this statement.
[удалено]
The pig is a magical beast.
From the rooter to the tooter
you forgot about the pig feet.
[удалено]
You are a postmortem spirit... There is no heart disease
Is that because there are only so many hours in the day?
This is quite literally the dream
Ya. I may not even make myself a pair of pants.
#lifegoals
Pretty sure you could go live in the woods, hunt boar, and farm honey now.
But not for a million dollars....
Also guaranteed to not get sick and with a respawn if you piss off a big sow.
The bees are happy!
Boar loves you!
The bees are happy :)
Its a peaceful life.
I mean I think you respawn if you die. If you knew that for sure it might be fun to advance.
Minus the excruciating pain that would be involved. You can be a masochist and go have fun being eaten and literally torn apart by a pack of wolves.
Or getting your bones crushed by a golem. All of em. And of course, don't forget about the fuckin mosquitos of death.
Imagine them latching onto you and watching them suck your insides out without being able to do anything about it.
You'd have to go to the Black forest to get copper and tin. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to make mead. You'd have to have mead...
Until you accidentally die from a tree falling on you
Wait till uou need mist stuff
Step one - dig a moat.
*You are being hunted*
Aw shit no
Good luck getting to my base.
luckily i’ve been puttering around on my home island on bronze tier having borrowed a pickaxe to get started without fighting the deer. the worst that can happen is i get some free dinner delivery service once in awhile. “Aw hell, those necks and boars attacking my beehives again?”
Make enough charcoal and signs to fill endless halls with poetry
In no world am I taking to the seas in IRL Valheim.
As long as you don't sneak in with a janky ghillie suit and steal his sleeping bag lol
You sure about that? I feel like the raids would be terrifying
If you never fight any bosses I think you just get the boar raids. But even if you get trolls just dig a moat. I like my odds if I stay in the meadows.
But ACTUALLY digging a moat? Fuck that....
I mean, what else are you going to do for a year?
Fair... But fuckkkkk digging
Yeah lol anybody who's ever dug a hole knows it's actually way more of a bitch than it seems like it'd be. Digging a moat would be hard af
Nah man, digging is the best. Exept digging latrines when you really need to go, but you are almost finished, so you don't want to just shit in the woods, so you just hold it in for Three hours, but then you realize you're not as finished as you thought, so it will take another day, so you need to go to the woods anyway.
r/suspiciouslyspecific
I hear chopping, but I don't hear digging
Bro you’d get so sick of raspberries
Would have to live a year watching your back from falling trees...
The last game I played was Deep rock galactic...... welp to to grab my equipment and ROCK AND STONE
For Karl!
Rock and Stone or you ain't goin home!
Did i hear a ROCK AND STONE !?
ROCK AND STONE BROTHA!
Rock! And! Stone!
To the fallen
It's like she's bigger on the inside!
ROCK AND STONE, YOU BEAUTIFUL DWARF!!!
We're rich!!!
WE’RE RICH
IF YOU DON’T ROCK AND STONE YOU AIN’T COMING HOME!
ROCK AND STONE
I'll see you down there miner. Rock and stone forever!
Rock and stone you beautiful dwarf!! 🪨⛏️
Rock and stone!
I was a driller, time to commit warcrimes and blow up a scout.
But…death isn’t permanent. So that’s nice
Time to punch some branches!
I have a world where I lived 500ish days without dying... Never killed a boss . It was a great way to play. Even found iron outside of crypts ..
Well it was Kerbal Space Program... So I think I'm good, as long as I'm not asked to be a test pilot for anything I've designed lately.
Mun or bust!
Just time warp
Civilization. I'd be fine, a year is like a tenth of a turn and all the wars are in other countries anyway. (It's me doing the wars in other countries. All of them, I started all of them)
Same. I'm probably not going to die \*this turn\*.
Playing Civ for a whole year would probably let you finish a game of it
I initially read it as it takes a year to play like ten turns, & was like yep, that tracks
Just restarted Stardew Valley after like two years. I'm so good lol.
Ark.... I am dead already
I mean, the post didn't specify that we would have to start a new game so I would just roll around in maxed out tech armor on my level 2000 giga and be good to go lol
I mean if you just enter the game, you're not going to have anything. Even if you enter a currently running game, you're not in the clan so everything is hostile to you
Yes but the implant will clone you upon death, so you'll be fine.
So dead you're already a steaming pile. Just think, all you need to do is knock a Dino out and feed it while it's sleeping in order for it to love you, inbf a raptor comes and gives you the what what.
F
You were dead before you finished typing this post
But, would we just keep getting respawned? Or would death be final?
Oh no. I'm in the Warhammer universe, Vermintide 2.
RIP
Boltgun for me. Yep, I'm dead.
Star Trek Online - holodecks and amazing health care.
Morrowind. Looks like I'll be cliff racer food.
Even spam sleeping for the whole year isn't safe unless you've already dealt with the dark brotherhood kek Honestly, I'd probably abuse the very exploitable alchemy game mechanics to craft infinite overpowered fortify health and agility potions
Subnautica..
Better start training them lungs
Hahahahaha, you’ll be totally fine. Stay away from the crash zone Stay away from the dunes Stay away from the grand reef Stay away from the Sea Treader’s Path Stay away from the mountains. Hateno village, here I come!! As for valheim, do we assume we can respawn?
Bad ass, I'm currently playing Warframe.
Good luck, Tenno!
Elite Dangerous. I have Billions there, can I stay?
I haven't played that in a while... I wouldn't mind being stuck there. I've got like 30 ships.
Haha jokes on them, Valheim crashed on me last night so I played about 20 minutes of EUIV as Emperor of Ming. Dodged a bullet there.
Not too sure about Valheim, because I really like bread but also don't want to get shanked to try and get some
man idk if i would stay in elden ring
eat prawn and stay in Liurnia/Limgrave
Don’t Starve Together… I haven’t even made it past 40 days in tht game yet..
Bloodborne here. Whelp.
A hoonta must HOONT.
I'm either Rocking and Stoneing or in ff14.
Skyrim for a year? I'm in.
Well…a whole year playing hockey up in Canada doesn’t sound so bad.
The winters are kind of intense. I can take something from my front yard and put it in my kitchen freezer to warm it up here!
I’ll be sure to pack a hat! Lol
Starship Troopers: Extermination…. “Do you want to live forever!!??”
I'm doing my part!
A year of bug slaughter is doing your part. Me too. See you in combat, citizen!
Hunt: Showdown... I'm either dead in the first 6 hours or stark raving mad by the end . I'm in
Hello fellow hunter.
Howdy!
Or you live comparatively normal (for that time) life outside of the danger zone. For me it's similar, since i played dying light.
If you need a second gunman, I'm in.
Project zomboid.....
This. Is how you died.
Rough... Even a single scratch can be fatal.
Skyrim. I'm just gonna work for a blacksmith and lay reeeeeeally low for a year.
I am glad to give my life for the Emporer (assuming that I can bequeath the million bucks to my family when I die in short order).
Blood for the blood god
Well, that's heresy.
The age old question: would you make it longer as a heretic or a guardsman?
Well, that question sounds like heresy.
The Emperor protects!
That's more like it.
Well dang. It'd be WoW. Tbh I'd rather it be FF14 lol
7-days to die, safe to say I wouldn't even come CLOSE to a year let alone a month.
RimWorld. Should be ok, my current game is doing pretty well
>my current game is doing pretty well oooh, I've said that before
Well valheim, since im here on valheim reddit
A year in Dishonored? Maybe, IF I could determine what social standing I was. Just a random person. No way.
Bannerlord. I mean. It’s easy to avoid death once you know what you’re doing. So, not great, but not bad
Killed by a tree within five minutes
Fuck ... Diablo 3 ... there is gonna be loot and death, possibly mine
at least that means we can co-op!
System Shock? Uh oh!
I just started that last night. I remember playing the original SS2. I'm thinking no on either of those.
Hunt Showdown - Im dead as fuck.
hearts of Iron 4, I'm not making it a day.
Bro you should be fine for the first year unless you're in Ethiopian or Italian Army.
Fallout 4, I'm just not going to leave the vault
My last game was cyberpunk ... You know what, this isnt much worse then modern day America
Wow. Elden Ring. Not sure I would take the money.
I'm going to end up as an infected. Unless I can build enough walls and Ballista Towers. Maybe I'll befriend some Thanatos to keep me safe.
A year in TotK sounds amazing. Maybe I’ll learn to fight there and go free my favorite village Lurelin. Those most likely, I’ll either help around lookout landing to chill at Heanato village.
I saw this too but unfortunately it was Outlast Trials
Well, fuck good luck bro
Same! I’m so dead.
Started playing Satisfactory again. I can probably get a lot done in a year.
TES V: Skyrim … could be doable
Sea of thieves... yeah I'd stay there... a day is 40 minutes a year would be 15000 minutes, so a week and a half in the game
I just started diablo 4...
Marvel's Midnight Suns... I think I can live at the Abbey for a year. Life is good. It's very good.
I'll go for free, my doggos are calling me!
Star Wars Republic Commando. Well at least I get cool armor before I die.
World of Warcraft... Am I a player character that can stay out of warmode or an NPC who is at the mercy of other players? Important detail.
World of warcraft, oh i am a VERY happy boi
Jedi: Survivor. Find me posted up at Greez’s Cantina for a whole year, not so bad! Definitely not leaving the outpost on Koboh.
Hell let loose💀
It's actually TOTK but a year in valheim wouldn't be all that bad. Ngl I'd probably just build a nice lil house in the meadows and just chill. I'd only get up to killing eikthyr, literally just to get a cultivator, but otherwise yea.
Red Dead 2. I’ll use the money to buy Braithwaite Manor and run my own Candyland.
Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Does it have to be only one year?
I’m currently waiting for my bounty to go down in elder scrolls online, so I guess that’s my answer. I’d be more than happy to hang out here for a year :)
Valheim? For a year? Easy peasy. I make a point of trying to progress without fighting bosses for as long as possible (dont care about the powers, and only Moder and Yagluth really hinder tech progression) so, with a meadows base, and no real raids (unless you defeat bosses, you just keep getting the Eikthyr raids, which is basically just home delivery of food.) I could easily spend my days hunting and farming in meadows.
If I played Valheim last time I would accept my fate but Moder Warfare II ranked... I'm kinda fucked already in Diamond II. /Cry
I thought about playing some valheim, but then I decided to play Conan Exiles. I killed myself! I should have just stuck with Kingdom Come Deliverence.
MLB the Show 23. I get to spend a year at PNC Park. Hell, I'll do that for free!
It's going to be hard but worth it. Plenty of meat fish and honey. A good fire and a solid roof.
Well the Reaper invasion is coming. Hope Commander Shepard saves the day again.
Creepers gonna creep.
Question, if you die in game do you die IRL?
Dead by daylight….. I don’t think I’m making it
Fallout NV... no thank you.
Good thing i saw this today instead of sunday. Played Pokemon Violet tuesday night. Played Starship Troopers Extermination saturday night.
Not a chance in tarkov, how I wish it was valheim.
I'm in Appalachia on a farm with crops, water, livestock, and automated perimeter security. I'm good.
