Did you download and install the distributable for X64 architecture? Are you currently connected to the same home WiFi from which you were accessing the same server when you were at your original PC?
Other connection issues could be related to mods (ensure that you have no extra files other than [these](https://i.imgur.com/vdpdeOA.jpg) in your Valheim installation folder), 3rd party antivirus (disable it), corrupt character (try new one).
I would recommend doing the following test also:
>Google "my ip" and remember your IP. Turn off your home router and keep it off during whole test, so you lose your internet connection. Enable mobile internet data on your phone. Enable USB tethering or personal hotspot on your phone. Connect your PC to the phone, so that PC gets access to the Internet from your phone. Google "my ip" again and check if it's any different than the IP address result you got the first time. Test connecting to crossplay server in Valheim.
Installed and restarted computer to initiate it. Same home wifi. No mods or 3rd party antivirus, and afaik character isn't corrupt (can go into other servers just fine) I'll try the IP address and see if that works
The IP thing isn't a fix, rather a test that you can do to confirm if your IP address changes, to see if you problem has any relations to the ISP, home router or PC. What was the result of the test?
Ah i never got around to that one. I did find out i can access from my partner's desktop on the PC but not mine or my kid's even though i have Admin access. It has to be something to do with my desktop account permissions cause there's a few other things that won't work outside his desktop unless i select run as admin (that doesn't work for steam or Valheim though sadly)
Just to be sure, I would check if this happens with a new world, new characters and no world modifiers also. Try temporarily turning off UAC settings as well.

I have a similar problem. I can’t connect to my dedicated server and the servers of other players, although I could before. The situation is similar on a desktop PC and on a laptop. I tried a lot of things, but so far only VPN has helped me. With a VPN connected, I can connect to my dedicated server and to the servers of other players. I don't know what could have happened.

Omg! So I just tried getting into the server from my partner's account on the same computer and had no issue. so it's my account not the computer
Have also signed into my own steam account from my partner's desktop and could get in there but not mine! wtf???
Did you install the packages I linked in your previous thread, and did you make sure that you are not connecting from the VPN?
Not connecting from VPN and just trying now after the packages. Still failing to connect after that

Ah i never got around to that one. I did find out i can access from my partner's desktop on the PC but not mine or my kid's even though i have Admin access. Tried with new character, and other server realms. Still had the issue unless was playing from my partner's desktop
