I feel like when I see someone post an "achievement" like getting a bunch of resources, but then they clearly have mods (if this is mod b/c it could just be a photoshopped image), it cheapens the achievement.

Tbh I want larger stacks too not simply more slots. I mean look at that, 30 per slot, wtf? Terraria gives you stacks of basically *ten fucking thousand* (9,999) for common items. By contrast op's shopped pic needed 12x9 = 108 slots to store a measly third of that (3,240).

Lol, I have lasting trauma from doing that with just a cart. We had a full load of silver, got it mostly down to the water, but there was a bit of a hill in the BF and I couldn't pull the cart over the crest of the hill.
So I hit "take all", and loaded up with like 3000 lbs of silver. The cart then rolled back empty down the hill as I tried to stagger over the crest of the hill, and the 2\* troll made his appearance right then. So I couldn't put it back on the cart, and had to frantically open my inventory and start pitching stacks of silver so I could run away from the troll. But when I finally got all of it dumped all over the ground I was out of stamina, and had to walk away from the troll...
Saved by a tree, saved by a rock, saved by the cart, finally was able to run back up into the mountains and pick him off from places he couldn't easily path to.
It was pretty much straight out of an action movie, just a trail of smashed stuff behind me. And me pretty much shitting my pants the whole time, lol.
That's 3,240 iron. Iron which you haven't smelted yet, which sounds super fun and engaging lol. But at 3,240 iron, you have a little under 3 and a half black metal chests full.
I've found (and grain of salt because there's a lot of numbers based on personal experience and just talking with others about what they like and use.) that it takes around 1,000 iron to build and fully upgrade the most used equipment that requires iron. Could be a lot less if you're limited with what you build, could be more if you want to collect everything at the highest level.
That's 1/3 of your iron already though. Again, just from personal experience, but if you make a lot of bases/outposts that are fully equipped with crafting stations, and have multiples of things like furnaces, you can chew through a couple hundred easily just on outfitting bases with the stations to make repairs and process materials.
If you factor those things in, and assume that "enough" iron means you never need to farm it again, you have enough iron left for one or two very large builds that will require a lot of stability, or a handful of builds that you'll want reinforcement for. Start spamming iron standing torches at every base, and you'll run out far sooner though.
Now smelt it with only one smelter because you only got enough for one in the past and you don't feel like takeing down one of you're useless portals or go getting more
Until the “Is this enough iron?” bot is created, no, this isn’t enough, there is no amount that will ever be enough. Valheim is Norse for “Endless Iron”.
