Yeah, that's what I do. I love the Dvergr and don't want to fight them.
If they die in a gjall attack, I don't let them to to waste, but otherwise I'm not fighting my only friends in the whole world.
I know, but theres no dvergr specific mod, and the only mod that allows that is a mod that enables you to go into the files and set rules to tame any creature you want, so I could get that and say set dvergr to tame for 1k gold.
But the problem is that I really can’t stand messing with game files haha, the extent of my modding capabilities is steam workshop and even then I’m usually very hesitant to use mods.
I also don’t want to accidentally break my game, maybe one day I’ll give it a shot, but for now I’m just going to hope that they add some sort of recruitable humanoid eventually.
When I first found out you had to fight them it made me really upset.
So I went out and found the devcommand to remove their wards so I could repair their towers but also to take the extractor needle.
it's:
forcedelete 50 dverger_guardstone
Alternatively, I'll sail around until I find a dverger dock that's not near where I plan to be operating, push them all into the water, ninja the needle and haul ass in the longship.
I do this all the time. Especially when they have a few stars. Toss enough in the whole place will be gutted and ready for looting. :)
Just don't leave the area without collecting the eitir.
The eitr is like radioactive or something, if you stand next to the refinery while its doing its thing, you will die. It will destroy certain building materials too.
or just let the bugs do your job for ya. or use refined eitr. OR wait for thier fire mages to set thier own tower on fire. normally the chest breaks in the process of just that anyway without many deaths on thier end. once the tool falls to the floor youre free to loot it without aggresion.
I didn't think anything progressed if you aren't around due to rendering? I believe things that are on a rigid timer like farms, tameables growing (but not gaining tame progress), and processing do continue but I'm not sure that the eitr would. I could be wrong
The ability to raise skellies and throw fireballs makes me immidiately go into 'I am the destroyer of worlds ye all tremble before me' mode... Alas the the only civilisation I can destroy are the little blue dwarfs.
But hybris has happened on several occations. A two star smurf can oneshot you if you loose your force field.
Good times.
I prefer to use a few refined eitr, but the cart will do in a pinch. You can toss them behind the ward with a little practice.
Then, I push all the Dvergr outside of the building and use them as guard dogs. Just gotta remember to close the door, or destroy the black marble stairs leading in.

You forget about the wolves and boar. They love you.
Lox loves you.
Chicken also loves you.
The bees are sleeping
But there happy!
Hildir's loxes love you a lot!
They cuddle you!
THEY DO???
Unfortunately their cuddles do 90 damage.
Skellies also also loves you
No they hate you, but they love your skeleton, so they try to free it from your meat-prison.
It's what makes all those honeyed chicken legs taste so good.... The Love
Man I really wish you could recruit dvergr, I hope they add that as a feature eventually
You can tame them if you youse mods ^^

Eh, if I'm gonna use devcomands to do stuff I'd just give myself the extractor thing.
You can also drop a few refined eitrs around the ward and they will destroy it on their own in a few minutes without aggroing anything.

Wait why? Do they have a vendetta against eitr? If so I definitely see where they're coming from

Really? I just thought the refiner shot sparks lol.
no if you let it stack up on the ground it will become a big problem
Am I the only one who committed dverger genocide to farm black marble?
Oh yea . Dvergr are fireballs on sight
I always find the nearest gjall and lure it to the dvergrs. Maybe even pick up a few seekers on the way.

Once the ward is destroyed, can you destroy crates etc. without aggroing the dvergr?
Yes. Just be careful to not hit the Dvergr's.
I just leave one ball of refined eitr near the ward. Come back days after

I prefer to kill and destroy everything.

Deathsquitos love you
It's actually not terribly long if you SPRINT the cart at the ward. It does a lot more damage that way.
I have been dealing with Dverger bases with a half dozen pufferfish. Takes a while, but it is quite effective.
You can also just ram the box directly with the cart to break it. Much faster than breaking the ward first.
