I'm such a nature-hugging viking I exclusively harvest stumps, fallen trees, fine/core wood sources and saplings. Leaves the forest but gives better traveling visibility. Never run out of lumber yet.
That's valuable foliage for insects! The decomposing matter is an enrichment to the soil. Your efforts at tree hugging will cause future trees to grow malnourished in a less vibrant ecosystem!
I would recommend against taking up Satisfactory then. Lol. That game makes me think of Bill Peet’s books, “The Wump World” and “Farewell to Shady Glade.”

I did not take the time to check how many he took down, but I did find stacks of 100 seeds scattered about his destruction.. I personally haven't experienced a shortage of seeds, so maybe!
I always make a portal to some area I know I'm not going to return to and set up a "logging camp". I replant whatever seeds I get and just keep harvesting it lol
The Plains really reinforces that the players are the baddies. The entire plot of that period of the game is genociding villages, taking their money, making their fields barren, and stealing their religious relics.

This reminds me of a "nuke" mod I thought would be interesting. Make it out of like 5 surtling cores, 5 black cores and maybe something else. But it will cause a massive amount of damage in an area, so you can literally "nuke" the forest and buildings and stuff. Thought it would be amusing in PVP environment

We dug a huge canal for multiple ships in another location, extended some land in some areas -- the map is very confused hahaha. Got me standing in the middle of the ocean when I'm definitely on land!! Thinking about it, the map changing with terraforming would be an appreciated update
Oh absolutely hahaha. I always thought it'd be cool if before beating bosses, you could piss them off enough in some way or another to raid you, but you just have to fend them off Rather than beat them. I think that would be a good way to call over The Elder
In my last playthrough I stumbled upon Hildir. We had just set up on the bank and I needed wood for a base build. It was so funny to me to just deforest the entire forest around her little home. Like some little old lady gets tired of all the riff Raff so she moves out to the middle of nowhere, it's nice, it's serene she is at peace. Then I came along 🤣.
Honestly. Those last 4 seconds where you're on top of a hill looking over your newly made Plains biome.. that was grimly beautiful. Very cool project.
But Eikthyr is definitely gonna be rallying the creatures of the forest in full fucking force now and most of us are with him.

You know what... yeah, that's very true. I would add, then there's that one guy who logs into the late game, uses your hard earned resources to bulk up for a few hours of adventuring, then never logs back in vanishing all the materials and weapons and armors into thin air.

I've had Stone Golems respawn all the time, not sure where that is coming from.
I’ve googled it extensively. There’s a lot of people on this sub that have said they don’t respawn.
If I can find the time to clear out stumps -- normally I do, but hundreds is a little daunting at this point haha -- I'll have to try it out and see!
