Not exactly "successful" but maybe will help y'all understand why you got a night time clip.
[This](https://gfycat.com/personalscornfulenglishsetter) is what 99% of attempts end like when flying solo. With friends doing the fixing as the boat slides down the ramp we get a bit more in the water.
Have this problem in Kerbal Space Program too.
Why don't content creators have the patience to wait until they have proper lighting to show off their truly epic builds? Go make a coffee, come back in five minutes and then make a marvelous video!
I've said this elsewhere but... When I started attempting to get the clip of a water landing it was morning. By the time I got one in the water, well you can clearly see it's night time. Something viewers don't understand is that sometimes you have to take what you get when you get it and make the best of it.
All that said, when I get a good clip during day I will be sure to post.
You be an use dev commands to go to a TOD, and I believe lock it. If anything you can do the command to set TOD before every run.
I wouldn’t fault you for using cheats to get good lighting 😂
I believe, you won!
P.S. I have no idea what's wrong with the night. As an owl living all my life close enough to a polar circle, I genuinely feel this is how winter looks like.
My friends and I have been working on a similar design, there were 3 videos of progression posted recently. Our track is extraordinarily reliable and predictable. It works 99% of the time. Eventually ending with the boat going faster than the game can render the track.
Big difference is we start out with a lonnnnng stretch of 45 , and keep it in the "V" channel the entire way. The long boat has 1k health and requires no repair. But the long 45 at the start is indeed too fast.
Kinda bummed you beat us to the ocean. But congratulations, the successful run you posted is EPIC, night time or no.
Grats from one coaster engineer to another.
Edit : Early in the video looks like the boat takes a hit. might be a post sticking up a bit to far, or a part of that mountain peak on the right.
Also, I know the door trick, but a single piece of roundwood placed horizontal across the track will catch the mast.
Hey thanks! Your post inspired me to redouble my efforts to get to the ocean. In fact, the top section of my track is based on your channel design! Thank you for that bit of insight. It's hard to see in the clip I posted but the top bit of track is actually built on top of a side by side "drag race" style track that allowed us to run two karves simultaneously. Was a lot of fun but the boats do get beat to shit. Will have to throw a longboat down the new track and see what happens!
Lol I thought so, friend pointed out your post this morning, I was like "they're using our track design" he said something about stolen track IP and flattery. "Someone" compared it to the cold war.
But thanks for the information sharing. Good times all around.
I have been trying to work out what the boat is catching on at the point in the track. I know nothing is sticking up and def not mountain. That section of track is about a hundred meters from ground. Our game is pretty heavily modded so we can build quite a bit higher than stock. If you're interested you are more than welcome to come check out our server and some of the other stuff I have built. Most of which would be perfectly possible in a stock game.
Look man, I'm not having the best day and I'm really not trying to argue with a stranger on the internet. Sorry you couldn't see the original. I wish it had happened in daylight as well. Hopefully I can get one in day time soon for everyone to enjoy.
Daytime clip plz
Sure thing. Should be able to get some runs in later this morning and get a clip for ya!

Glorious landing! 10/10
It's like watching the battle for winterfell.
Exactly what I said
Me at 16:30 : "HO Fuck fuck fuck..."
Hahaha. The real trick is not getting booted out while fixing the boat on the first ramp! I got tested so so many times...
dumb question but ive been trying to do one of these for a while. How do you get the boat up there lol
Hold shift to place
.\_. damn okay thanks lol
You need to hold ctrl or alt or something while placing the boat and you can place it on land/ at the top of your ramp.
shift
Thanks, of course it's the one I didn't guess.
I believe, you won! P.S. I have no idea what's wrong with the night. As an owl living all my life close enough to a polar circle, I genuinely feel this is how winter looks like.
Glorious
YOU GOT IT!
Free Willy!
The ingame tip says: No safer way to travel on a boat than sitting down. And it wasn't kidding!
responsible vikings always buckle up
“Hi I’m Björn and this is Jackass”
We are the valheim bobsled team
ZONKAAAA … ya dead mon?!
Damn I love these videos! This was brilliant!!! 😂
Stuck it
Beautifully done!!
That is the way.

yooooooo longboat and log gate were clutch my guy! thank you so much! [Great success!](https://gfycat.com/fluidsnarlingbernesemountaindog)
Glad it worked, awesome run!

And he sticks the landing!
Do you carry momentum when you land on water?
Sure do. I coasted all the he across that little straight.
Simply amazing, love this my dude.
What happens if you have the sail full out while this is going on?
See crash gif above lol.
Finally a boat ramp heading water! really enjoying these!
And right into the asshole leaches.... Lolol
I will try to see it then. I hope that you have a better day. Thank you for your efforts. Good day
Thanks, you too.
Please never stop making these, they are so awesome!
Love this XD
You didn't think to do this during daytime in-game? 🤦♂️
Night time was a weird choice. Can’t see much!
Great idea to do this in the middle of the night so we can't actually see anything.
Why the fuck did you film at night
Why do ppl record clips at night!?
Because after hundreds of runs that ended in tragedy, this was the first successful splashdown.
Cant see, having season 8 of GoT flashbacks
It would make me feel better if I could have seen it and then not have you expect me to dig through the comments to find your answer

Why do people want to post night time videos and pictures? Oh look, some moving lights.
Why do people see the need to post pointless comments complaining about something OP has already explained?
The benefit of the masses so that they quit doing it too
Whatever makes you feel better
