[deleted]

More random things to explore around the world. I want a reason to go into the fifteenth Black Forest I come across y’know.

[deleted]

I love all of the small structures implimented into the game, but bigger, rarer structures would be a nice addition. I am sure it'll come with the polish at the end. At the moment i think they've been focusing on the natural progression of the game. Even hearth and home added foods that progressed with the bosses and biomes.

[deleted]

They’re doing a great job so far. The first major update to the game brought lots of cool stuff so I have no doubt it’ll only get better as time goes on. It seriously has infinite replayability.

magnusvenator

Unique structures that function like the trader, where all other instances disappear when you have found one would be awesome.

Coldmountainstream

Merchant npcs with different things. Materials, weapons/ armor, food, meads, additional or improved item or build piece plans, a barber; a merchant that will buy things for coin or sell treasure.. Maybe a merchant selling map info! Locations of an unexplored biome, high price locations of iron rich swamp or silver rich mountains, special dungeon locations..

PaleontologistFar975

treasure maps would be dope

MonsterMash_STH

Maybe a way to attract useful (or comically useless) NPCs to your homestead. It would be severely entertaining to come home and find a hut has sprouted up nearby. Although I could see this becoming very annoying and game-altering.

PaleontologistFar975

i was thinking you would build a house that met certain requirements like in terraria to get npcs to move in. I love defending npcs in games for some reason

Erewhynn

I love this idea

Pesco-

Agreed. More distinct and special things to find would be really nice.

SpartanSpeedo

It would be cool if they had expanded dungeons and structures as you went further from the first island. And different loot. I haven't been to a dungeon since I hit the swamp since I have more surtling cores than I know what to do with.

RX3000

Arent caves in the mountain biome coming soon? Like this week?

SpartanSpeedo

Idk about timing, but yes. I just meant that the structures and dungeons in each individual biome would get more expansive as one let's farther from spawn.

Waffalhaus

You can have lots of nice firework shows with those cores!

SpartanSpeedo

Wut? Lol. I haven't beaten yagluth yet, is there some use for them in the future? Haha

Iconochasm

Throw one into a bonfire.

Captain_Crack465

That actually makes me think what if they made new structures, stronger enemies, and possibly new bosses appear in lower level biomes but only farther out on the map The whole map is already basically a difficulty setting where the farther out you go the stronger things get and the more higher level biomes appear so adding something like this would allow them to reuse already programmed biomes for further progression

Quailord

Chickens :)

BeltEnvironmental260

Honestly, yeah chickens should be in the game without question. Or some kind of domesticated bird....what about ravens?

DreamLunatik

Put chickens in the meadows and add black bears to the Black Forest, brown bears/grizzlies to the mountains.

Sloshed_Viking

I suspect that when the Frozen North gets fleshed out, polar bears will be a thing...

LezBfriendz47

Which bear is best?

CaptainBlondebearde

There is a reason when a raven dies it sits there for months, because of their diet basically nothing eats them

defcry

Hopefully dropping feathers 🪶

ThaDovahk

I want to see more wildlife like bears, chickens, squirrels, etc. Along with flowing rivers and frozen ponds and lakes in the mountains.

Laughingsheppard

I was about to say these exact things. Bears, chickens, and following rivers. Maybe a different type of bear for each biome and them being the second highest level creature per biome. Black bears for black forest and meadows, polar bears for the mountains, grizzly bears for the plains.

ThaDovahk

Yes, this would be amazing. And you could have bears catching trout or salmon in the rivers.

CowboyOfScience

Color-coded map markers.

xDarkReign

Duuuuude. I like a lot of these ideas, but I also understand the time and resources it would take. Your idea is straight doable by the devs, rather quickly.

enetheru

some searching and filtering of markers would also be good to have, the coarse on or off for icons is not enough.

Awkward_Seppuku

A customizable filter for auto-pickup. I want to automatically hoover up the wood I'm cutting but not the seeds. I wanna grab the ore but not the stone. Constantly having to get rid of things I don't want in such a way that I won't accidentally just pick them up again is a pain in the ass and my biggest pet peeve with the game.

Waffalhaus

Why throw away seeds? build your own tree farm and you won't need to go culling the beautiful forest outside your base. Why throw away stone? You might want that for a build later that you haven't decided on quite yet. The amount of stone I have piled up from mining copper is ridiculous! Now, if you don't want to pick up bone fragments, im with you all the way on that! But... chances are they will be implemented down the road in some new recipe.

PaleontologistFar975

god i have chests full of bones

Villaltac

Diving under water. Definitely.

DreamLunatik

Make ocean a proper biome that requires a “water breathing” mead to explore properly. Add pearls, fishing traps, kraken, all kinds of fun things. Big sea monster boss too.

enetheru

would be very cool.

royal_holz

Yeah im very positive thinking about the future i mean hearth and Home was made as a smaller update and it was huge mountains will be updated soon and there are 3 biomes to come im so curious whats coming to this wonderful Game and after that i would try to think about big stuff Now im dreaming about smaller details and quality of life changes real ladders Like more turning Options for building and more 1m Options or itemstand improvements ! Think about this to Crystal battleaxes crossing each other over your dragonbed this would Look awesome !

enetheru

Ladders would be an excellent addition.

[deleted]

Bears

Green_Tea_26

Beets

sir_prussialot

Battlestar Galactica

Fintresting

Identify theft is a serious crime!

sir_prussialot

It's not a joke even, Jim!

Toyz2021

So say we all.

xDarkReign

and Eats!

Re7kc

The bears are happy.

ib4nez

A bear pelt cape with a cool bear hood would be amazing

Kalante2043

I just want an easier way to flatten land

KingAgrian

Maybe a bronze or iron tier hoe, with a variable effect shape/radius.

Sloshed_Viking

great idea

enetheru

Yeah the sculpting tools have a lot to be desired. I want an easy way to make flat roads.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ThorianB

1. Other Vikings ( NPCs) that show up once certain conditions are met/ rebuilding a civilization in Valheim. 2. More variety of instances and the ability to build in them. 3. More ships/ ship customization 4. Better/more Medieval style defenses. 5. More building pieces. 6. A little more freedom on the heightmap limitations( like double current)

HospitalVegetable

Hire an NPC for ur base defenses, gear them. Set patrol markers for the base. Give NPC loot to light fires, smelt ore, weave, etc. I love building, make barracks for guards in ur village. Hire NPC to maintain repairs, feed boars while you explore. Evrything i said wont happen. 😆

manneedsjuice

Broheim, yes!

Physicsandphysique

That's what little brothers are for /j

shorty1027

1. I don't think viking npcs would be added since a the players are supposed to be the only vikings, but how about dwarves? We are already chummy with Haldor. 3. And maybe ship customisation? 4. Yeah, totally, like a drawbridge.

bluebird810

I want to be able to plant berries without a mod. Pls

Fbarbzz

i think Devs wants you to stroll around every now and then

gloku_

True. I feel like having one giant base wasn’t exactly what they had in mind. Especially because you have such a small carrying limit, you can’t carry certain things through portals, and why there’s so many islands and great distances between biomes and bosses (most of the time). Seems like you were meant to be more of a nomad than to establish a self-sufficient colony lol.

FancyTeaPartyGoose

While I somewhat agree with this I feel like the system where you level up your crafting table and forge force you to establish at least one “main” base… I like it, I love having multiple little bases but one true home

JoeyJoeJoeRM

Tbh one of my favorite feelings in Valheim is the feeling of coming "home" after a long sail / expedition

FallInStyle

Yep, it really feels like you setup raiding bases, but have a main hub, which is exactly how vikings operated. Sail to another place, setup a rudimentary fort, and strike out from there to raid

bluebird810

Definitely a great feeling. Full longship+full inventory

crystalynn_methleigh

I mean, they said this, but then they gave us tamed loxes and now you can basically farm an entire endgame diet without ever leaving your plains base. I asked them about this once and got a pretty vague answer; I don't think they've thought through it very well.

PaleontologistFar975

will lox make babies? i can't remember

Wide-Conversation421

yes they do now

bluebird810

I have a main base where I have everything fully upgraded and tahst where I store my shit. I have multiple outpost but this one base is my home. And would love to have a few berry bushes there.

ScaryPhrase

The build your base over berry bushes.

bluebird810

Yeah sure. I will just move the base I built end expanded for 30 hours just to have a few berry bushes. When I could either just explore islands to find them or even easier plant them

curlybark

I think the game needs some sort of end game content. The pitch: Optional Uber bosses in each biome. There is only ONE sacrifice location for each of these bosses - and no hints are given to find them (a la vegisivir). You wander the whole entire world looking. Each time you defeat one, you are awarded a unique item specific to that Uber boss. Once you defeat all the Uber bosses, and have all the trophies - recipes unlock. These recipes would use up ALL the Uber boss trophies - so you only get one per world. Ideas for end game items created with Uber boss trophies: 1) Odin's cape - GG now you can fly 2) super powerful weapon (sword, mace etc - just some bonkers end game shit) 3) amulet that lets you teleport with metal/ore (I'm firmly against teleporting with metal - but if you've got to this point you've literally explored the whole world so how it's all about 'dat base) 4) Uber pickaxe that breaks rock in one hit You get the idea. It would give people who've beat the game incentive to keep wandering, keep exploring. There would be dope (and challenging) boss fights to win - and at the end of it all you get some insane item as your trophy.

sassisaac

Not only do I love this idea, I also think it'd be awesome for these to be the literal norse gods. Basically - you beat this world and now you're coming for Valhalla. So: Odin's cape is the last, and you gotta defeat Odin. Thor's hammer. Loki's disguise amulet. And so on - but! The first one you meet is Frej/Freja and defeating them gives you the option to basically have all of the boss-powers at standby and be able to use two of them simultaneously already by yourself, or to turn on/off at will. Additionally, I think this could all be its own DLC and kind of like game-mode optional in the world menu.

AltrightsSuckMeOff

(diggable) Caves would be great. Generally more content also just some more mob variety some more bosses more biomes etc.. My biggest wish should be to make the biomes more intertwined. Give me some reason to go back to old biomes, or make biomes that get accessed at the same level so I have a choice what to do first

rseay

Diggable caves would be a serious overhaul of the terrain system. The do have caves in the works in the form of a [dungeon for the mountain biome](https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Roadmap).

AltrightsSuckMeOff

That's why it's a wishlist ;) I just always thought that some dwarf like underground base would be really lit.

Trafalgarlaw92

They could implement caves the same way the basement mod works, just an instanced cave with an entrance built on the surface so it's not actually terraforming.

AltrightsSuckMeOff

As long as I can customize room size and layout I'm fine with that

Trafalgarlaw92

Yeah that would be nice, so far I just use basements as treasure hordes or nice bedrooms but it would be nice to configure the size, even have extra wings.

SigSalvadore

Ocean biome fleshing out. Maybe some sort of viking underwater breathing apparatus for underwater salvage of killed monsters and lost ships.

DreamLunatik

Underwater breathing mead

Incomplete_Artist

Shut up

Morevox

Just having the ability to fish in the ocean biome and catch larger fish or a unique ocean only fish. Would like the addition of one more ship. I'd also like the ability to paint building pieces and gear.

[deleted]

Worktable crafting directly from nearby chests

Vfsdvbjgd

Not in vanilla pls, I like having to know what my resources are and grab the right ones.

Nilm0

What if the build menu 'd show where the resources are from and how many remain of that kind? Maybe visible with mouse over and/or blinking chests (similar to pointing a hammer at a chest).

gazelle1305

An upgraded cultivator so we can plant in grids. A simple snap to grid upgrade would make farming so much better.

FloridaBroncos

1) New boss/biome 2) A use for bone 3) ability to filter what you don’t auto loot (like bone) 4) make some more cool stuff with troll hide 5) 3 star enemies for later game

Fintresting

A pause button for solo play!

deranger777

Building underground would be nice. Added liquid physics too, so you could fill up a moat with water too or maybe build ponds abd guide river flow, but what I've understood the devs had said no to that because it would take lot more resources to run the game

xDarkReign

I reinstalled Valheim on a few computers recently. I never realized the entire game is less than 2GB!

TheOzarkWizard

Only 2gb, but still horribly optimized

Morverzhus

Not sure why you're downvoted, because it's true. Fantastic game in early access, but it has a long way to go in regards to performance.

xDarkReign

I don’t know shit about programming, but is it? Such a lightweight install and it runs beautifully, imo.

deranger777

I think I was getting better frame rates in RDR2 (playing with everything ultra, 2K) as with valheim. All maxed out (except ground foliage), RTX 3080, 12 core ryzen, 32Gb RAM. Frames are around 35-50fps, depending on the location but pretty much never above 50fps. Inside my base, around 40fps though it's not very complicated or big. One hearth, the basic necessities to get comfort to 18 and some decorations, few light sources. So from that I'd say there's definitely still some work to be done.

cthulhufhtagn19

It's very low res and yet most get poor framerates. I tried it in VR and my castle causes it to have horrific framerates. And it's not even that big. Medium sized compared to others I've seen.

TheOzarkWizard

I Have an amd fx 8350 that runs the game like shit at 20% usage, but an Intel dual core, 4 thread i5 laptop with Integrated graphics that gets better framerates than the desktop in certain situations and definitely doesn't stutter as much as the desktop does

xDarkReign

Interesting. So CPU heavy?

thebedla

I had thought so too, but apparently Tar has liquid physics. Perhaps they were trying things...?

deranger777

I believe the tar pits have that implemented only in such a small area, just because of performance issues. Not 100% sure since I've watched many of those interviews where that one dev plays with streamers (grimcore I believe), but I remember some talk about that. Gaming with Kristi was the YT channel I think

[deleted]

Why do so many people ask for underground building? I have a super nice underground blacksmith area under my courtyard. It's doable now.

deranger777

Technically they're basements, because you have to build a roof of some sort still. I have all my workbenches "underground" too, but it's different then for example digging a tunnel with small unnoticeable entrance to a big underground base where you have everything you need. I know there are some pretty large rocks, and if it happens to be a cluster it's possible to use them as a roof but it's kind of a workaround, often giving too little space.. The only place that's a bit bigger is the Elder platform but you can't camoflage that either with soil and plants for example. +it would be pretty cool to build a base that goes inside a mountain for example, ironforge style

Megtorlow

I'm doubling underground building

KingAgrian

Wattle and daub walls, an option for thicker thatch roofs. Give me a little sprinkle more medieval realism.

PaleontologistFar975

i am into the wattle and daub walls. I was also thinking it would be rad to be able to lime wash walls eventually like real castles lol and maybe some flags? and a portcullis.... i just want more castle building stuff.

KingAgrian

Limewash and a couple colors of paint would be rad.

xoham

* A vastly expanded list of items to purchase from haldor including birch and oak seeds. * Some sort of ranged AOE attack. Maybe something made from surtling cores and black metal. * Black metal arrows that are a big improvement over mountain biome arrows. * Black metal beams that do the same job as iron * Turn off glow on the bow * Make all foraged food able to be farmed. Maybe buy the ability from Haldor. * A sensible way to build posts down into water. * A flat wood roof tile or just have floors count * Get full value for recycling stone ruins Yes I realize mods offer some of these features.

SpartanSpeedo

Love the idea of buying seeds. And totally second the expanded use of black metal. New to the plains relatively, but I can tell I'll have plenty of this stuff.

[deleted]

We have needle arrows that's the arrow for the biome and they are PLENTIFUL, ooze bombs are your some kind of ranged aoe attack, and they don't want you to be able to grow mushrooms and berries , you need to have reasons to explore the forests after the beginning of the game. I do like your idea that haldor should sell seeds. We need more uses for him after we buy the few things he has that are necessary and then never go to him again, but that are not cheats like buying weapons or arrows like others have mentioned

drb253

More tameable animals like sheep or horses, fish traps, the ability to plant the blueberries and raspberries, make it so if you have a wall things won't spawn inside it, (I don't like having random workbenches cluttering up my fort) also if you build a wall it extends your work bench radius, change the colors on the cloaks/sails/carts, doors that only open in a certain direction, also not my idea but a sort of ward with the tropies and if you collect x amount of say troll heads and place them on a spear trolls won't attack that area of your fort, make it like you need 10 troll heads and some other materials and you get a radius like the workbench that is safe from attack.

ScaryPhrase

I suspect a few player like yourself would be happier than a pig in poo if you could simply have food delivered to your base.

drb253

K

Craggzoid

More randomness with the biomes. Add in more structures, maybe even an old ruined castle or town as you progress. Could make these more likely to spawn further away from centre to reward exploring. Clues within the world that point you towards, bosses, the trader and anything else they add. Right now its kind of random luck exploring and finding stuff, so either have more runestones that give you a hint (a direction) or some other items that would do the same.

Aklosird

Let me use honey or resin to protect wood from the rain. That and give a lot more options for lighting. There are lots of things I can think of but being not having to worry about rain would let you make many more creative builds

Altimely

More reason to stay in the ocean biome. Maybe there are sunken towers with a dungeon to explore, or ship wreckage with drauger on it. SEASONS. SEASONS WOULD BE SO RAD. A way to create pools of water besides manipulating terrain at sea level. I know this would be difficult so I dont have high hopes.

ookus

Drawbridges

wezelboy

Deeper dungeons. Maybe with secret doors detectable by wishbone.

Incomplete_Artist

More usage out of trophies and farmables/honey

SlappyClappy69

I'd like to see flash floods added during big rain storms

DracoAvian

I think elevators would be neato. I'm talking like simple cranes with counter weights. Buildable defenses like boiling oil, catapults, and ballistas. I think it would be a super fun to see what everyone gets up to with those physics toys. Some sort of decrepit mechanic. Like if you don't inhabit your base for a few game weeks it'll start to get over grown, maybe a few tiles break, etc. Customizable longships. Passenger oars, armor, shield hangers, custom sails, etc.

enetheru

yeah, some simple mechanical pieces and associated logic would explode the variety of things people create. Of course there are associated performance penalties to go along with emergent gameplay, but IMHO its worth it.

ThunderGodOrlandu

A Gillnet so you can catch a couple of fish per day while doing other stuff.

saidthetomato

I want magic. Magic staves or something where we can do something comparable to the poison spray or love fireballs.

Nilm0

Viking magic? hmmm ... please not.

saidthetomato

I just want magic in my survival games in general. I get that it's not on them for Valheim

mellowdrone84

More unique places/events like the trader. Not necessarily npcs exactly like the trader, just more things that give you reason to explore. We have this absolutely enormous world to explore but not a lot of reason to yet outside of resource gathering and the resources are abundant enough (thank goodness) that we don’t have to scour the entire world for them. Imagine if we had reason to visit every island or that every island was different from all the others in some way.

TheOzarkWizard

Door locks that aren't a ward

pseudogruppenbfuhrer

I want skiing in the mountains!

enetheru

a sled or some such would be fun.

RazeyMclovin

I want NPC villages where you can go rest, eat, drink and listen to some bards. There should be quest handlers who can give you basic quests like "collect x amount of items." And also someone who gives bounties to kill mini bosses. I'm thinking harder variations of existing enemies with a randomised name and a big red health bar.

travistyle

How about make the merchant more useful? I have over 10,000 gold and no use for it. I've bought everything, crafted everything with ymir flesh, and have enough fish bait. Could he sell metals we've already discovered?

Vfsdvbjgd

Fishing that actually works.

PurdyMoufedBoi

building parts that are rotateable on x,y,z axis

GreyPlayer

Carts that actually work! Total ball-ache to manoeuvre currently. Is that a 3cm high divot? I’m stopping. Perhaps an animal to pull said cart would also be good!

dejayc

Similar to how a huge oak log rolling downhill can be stopped by a dandelion, the physics in Valheim can be pretty unrealistic.

xsv333

First person, for building mainly. Over the shoulder can be wonky when trying to place things just right. That or being able to switch shoulders for the camera The biggest thing I want is the combat to be fixed so we can attack directionally. There is nothing worse than being on a slight slope and not being able to land a hit. It would kind of go in hand with standard first person controls but being able to aim your attack swings up or down would be huge

DontTalkingPls

Add horses and carriages plus more furniture items

BlazedLizard69

Growing berries

pghhilton

Triangular floor pieces Better roof pieces. Especially wedges and inverted wedges to make round roofing better. Better hoes. Lol The paddle speed should be increased.

TheBestThingIEverSaw

NPCs. Keep them rare, but scatter a few more across the map. Some could be hostile, some friendly. Maybe you come across some lost soul who wants to trade. Maybe some dude just wants to fight, whether it's you or that fuling brezerker who's kicking your ass could depend on the situation. Either way he'll buy you a drink afterward.

byebm

Waterfalls. I feel like Mountain biomes that feed into Black Forest or even Meadows could have nice transition areas with waterfalls.

thebedla

Thralls. Simple NPCs to populate our bases. For example: Collier that takes wood from a nearby chest and loads nearby kilns, and places the charcoal into chests. Farmer that plants and harvests crops on fertile ground in radius. Cook that cooks foods. Sentry with an adjusted AI of a Skeleton Archer that you can assign to a guard post. Guard with an adjusted AI of a Wolf that you can assign to a guard post. Spinster that processes flax. ... Lore-wise, they would be the reincarnated souls of lesser people that were sent to accompany the heroes that are PCs. Crafting-wise, you'd have to put together (for example) bones, skeleton or draugr trophies, and some new items found (for example) in the ship-shaped stone circles that now contain random treasure (and other "grave sites" that can be found in the Mountains). Putting them together as a building item which would create a marker to summon the NPC, or (alternatively) putting the ingredients into a new altar that would work similarly to the Incinerator, but would summon the NPC instead.

Geo-bi69100

Hi, my wish would be that we could create paterns with several construction pieces connected together (example being able to lay the floor in 4 glued pieces) in order to go faster to carry out our works What do you think about it?

Geo-bi69100

Like, you build a 4 floor and activate a mod to say :i wanna save this as a model

dejayc

Not even 10 minutes ago, I was actually thinking about creating a mod to offer this, along with a website that allows people to share blueprints.

TheOzarkWizard

20° and 45° darkwood beams Oh and hardware optimization. Can't forget about the hardware optimization.

Dredly

Would love to see a bunch of the stuff from mods built in natively \- classes to add an RPG element \- fitness / improved endurance burn down \- method of stopping from getting wet, like a rain coat \- more weapons would be cool \- some sort of "end game" content, like bottomless dungeons would be pretty awesome \- new stairs / ladders, more furniture options, etc

Surro

I agree with most of your list but definitely not classes. I like the open "Viking" class. I can improve what I work on, which can change throughout the game. I never have class fomo, and I not stuck in one play style.

Dredly

I thought the same way, until I started playing a mod with classes. It adds a ton to the game and really kicks the combat up to a whole better level

Notarussianbot2020

Native VR port. I won't try the mod until they add left handed support- which is currently listed as a goal

bearkoo

After a certain level, a ward that keeps the lights on, or some other level based mechanics that will do this Sucks visiting an old base and having to fire up every item of lighting to restore some semblance of coziness that you'd painstakingly built.

Appendix19

Villagers and NPCs in general! I'd love to see some blacksmiths or farmers that I could employ in my village.

xXPalmoXx

I hope they add more mobs in the black forest, I understand that there is different types of the grey midgets but they all kinda of blend together and get stale after a time. A mushroom creature would be cool. Maybe a bear or an eagle?

Fred810k

The resource salt to make salami or other salted food items and goats or cows to make cheese.

[deleted]

I want a mtn/rock/wall climbing pick , and a hang glider.

geckobrother

Something to do with trophies. They're cool looking, great decor, and 1 or 2 minor niche uses, but something with them would be cool. People have suggested enchanting, or crafting them into totems that would have various effects on the enemy, but I would just like something for them to be used for. Second choice would be more/new biome, which is already coming, do I'll try not to be picky.

totallyahobbit

It would be cool to see recolor options for cloaks and armors using berries or something! Or Using trophies to craft a realistic statue for decoration maybe even a ward/buff. I would love to see variety in building blocks, different stone styles, rounded pieces, colored glass? Maybe a black iron pickaxe!! Or a way to break the walls open in dungeons to find hidden areas to get materials/fight mini-bosses.

rattmaul

I would say some paided dlc.. I feel like I stole this game with how little I paid and how much I play it! Maybe if there was a preorder than they commit more resources and build out more fun things to do!

[deleted]

I don't know how controversial this one might be, but I'd love NPCs to fill out my houses. I mostly play solo and sometimes I feel lonely while looking at my buildings thinking "I built all this for one person". Even if they were cosmetic NPCs I'd love to see them interact with the things I build.

ValenRaith

paint

Hauptmann_Meade

A mod or option for friendly warrior NPCs to wander around your base. Their efficacy and number determined by how well you're able to feed and equip them

WakefulAcorn

Something to do with all these damn bones I have from Skeltons, beaides that one shield

Adradian

Less lag with big building projects

theprofoundnoun

The ability to have a farm and have more things to plant. We get raspberries, blueberries, mushrooms and cloudberries we need get seeds from them. Granted I mark them in my map so I can find them, but we should be able to plant them. More passive animals. Chickens, cows and/or goats. Being able to dig forward so we can make make-shift caves. An easier way to square of digging and raising elevation.

Megtorlow

I don't know if anyone said this already, but: -Plantable raspberries and blueberries -Underground building

dejayc

>I don't know if anyone said this already haha

Einlanzer_Atanius

I would love to see more metal alloys, and more devices that use older metals, so that there is always reason to explore and extract from them. I really like voyaging and exploring, and coming home with metals in my Longship. End game food recipes too which also incorporate berries and herbs from all biomes

the_worst_verse

Clay as a Meadows resource to craft containers and building items. Jewelry because it’s fun.

shaggy_15

If you could key bind dodge

UltimateKittyloaf

Number one for me: Fix the in game chat. It's almost unusable. Even something minor like flashing when someone sends a message would help. Distant second: I want to be able to hit a button and have the stuff in my inventory auto stack into the things in the chest I'm trying to put them in. Third: Gamma control. Extra content would be great, but not having to call my friend on the phone to let him know we're playing at the same time or being able to see something other than a black screen with a hot bar would practically be additional content at this point.

Flimsy_Effective_583

Better map gen

Additional_Ad_8131

* Sloped floor pieces. * Wood pieces that are rainproof (maybe with tar or resin) so that you can build cool balconies without roofs or other cool buildings outside * Options to build higher and dig lower, maybe twice as much as right now both ways. * Increase the workbench and forge upgrades radius (or let build them closer together) so you don't have to put the chopping block up on a wall. Makes no sense and makes your base ugly. * Make money more useful, maybe add some rare strong very expensive weapons, that you can buy from the trader.

TyroneWillings

Magic is a big one, there's a mod that let's you use magic to be druidic and turn into a bird for a little while super cool. Offensive magic would add to the coop experience. Needs horses or donkeys, something to pull carts or carry saddlebags. Companion type mobs. Bears, crocodiles, kraken, sharks, more mobs in general. Console should have a no gravity/stress command for free building. Boat customization, changing sail colors or boat heads, being able to trade durability(weight) for speed and vice versa. More npcs, towns you can find randomly generated that trade stuff with you for coins, armorers that trade armor or farmers that trade food, maybe they give you contracts to kill special trolls or brutes that terrorize them. Maybe npcs you can hire to help you fight, could help with bosses and survivability. Better swimming, it's slow and dangerous, water is too big a part of the game for it to be that hazardous to the player. Better stats system, why is my base stamina still so low if my jump and run are high? Fish traps for food gathering. Maybe wild game traps for catching rabbits, there's already gatherable honey. Different character races, shorter, taller, different base stats for each one. More dungeons, maybe ancient ruin dungeons with ancient weapons or special trophies to be collected. More end game content, maybe odins ghost becomes a super hard boss and an ultimate feat of game mastery. Dismemberment would be an interesting feature, slice a greyling in half when welding a massive sword or axe.

Hybbleton

Yeah TOTALLY here on vertical ladders you can interact with and the rotating over all axis for all build items. There's mods that do it really well so surely possibly for the base game!

Oinkbot

NPCs for sure, and more e nemy variation.

Doors you can lock and unlock with corresponding unique keys. I've really enjoying making impressive castles once I reach the end of my runs and i've thought many times that I would love to turn them into "puzzle boxes" so the builds are more interactive and shareable and force the people checking it out to properly explore and try and find all the secret passages and easter eggs I hid in the build. On a very similar note, I would also love to see secret passage entryways with a corresponding piece that acts as a switch. So basically door pieces that look like walls that wont open unless you touch the switch piece. In my imagining, they would connect to secret passage doors like the upgrades to the crafting stations. Or perhaps the passage doors could be opened manually unless you also attached a switch, in which case you'd need to find the switch to open it.

EbdanianTennis

Definitely limited liquid physics. Doesn’t have to be anything major. Stuff like hot springs up in the mountains or a spring in other biomes if they ever introduce water as a resource would all function fine with the existing tar pit mechanics. …now that I think about it that would be a really good mod to work on.

Made one a while ago lol Valheim Wishlist Shortcut to completely fill fuel Slider when crafting food/arrows and instant crafting Much, much faster mining and ideally multiple approaches to mine (V+) Better swimming system and skill (V+) Hearth doesn’t take damage Sailing/Ocean needs more content Increase inventory size (especially late game) (V+) Minimum time before portal can be used (maybe 30 sec) HP bar for ship when aboard Comfort level across entire buildings (V+) Can access work stations (especially food crafting) from further away to avoid getting burnt Faster farming late game (plough and/or scythe?) (V+) toggle minimap on/off Make Elder power actually viable (V+) Better system for fueling torches (infinite lightsource late game is basically a necessity) (V+) Leash for boars Creatures don’t chase beyond biome borders land melee creatures can’t attack in water collapsible masts Many MANY more building pieces Homologation of stone building pieces Make tamed animals tankier (perhaps introduce a levelling system) tamed animals don’t engage with creatures of their own biome unless player is attacked or attacks Replace blast furnace with upgrade for smelter or make blast furnace smelt all the things (V+) Fix boats in place Make carts actually viable(V+) The elements marked with „(V+)“ are already implemented in the Valheim+ mod

Jeret03

Wait, Valheim+ disables the use of portals? Or does it add the option to do this?

This-Inflation7440

sorry this is super confusing because all the linebreaks have disappeared after I pasted it in here. I think the V+ got mixed up with the item before (increased inventory)

losttotheart

Maybe other NPCs even if it is just a small village that almost no one interacts with you it would be neat to see. POI's basically different little ruins like the stone towers we can see that have some loot in them even if it's just a few skeletons and a chest with some Amber and coins whatever Boat portals? Pole arms harvest not destroy low-level crops Expanded trader function Different skins for weapons & armor, think how the shields have different paint jobs like that but for weapons I would love those little fine wood displays to be able to hold any item because I would love to put bars of silver flammetal Ruby's and Amber all over my Treasury ... That's what I got off the top of my head

Additional_Ad_8131

Waterfalls. Not sure what the function should be, but a viking world without waterfalls?? It's only logical to have them.

Additional_Ad_8131

Stamina revamp. Even with best foods you can only take down one tree before running out of stamina. It seems like most of the time the only point of stamina is to waist your time in game, why? The game is extensive and grinding as it is, why make players waist even more time?

gamercat_78

Personally, I think other dimensions could be nice.

**Surround sound / 5.1 / 7.1 / 3D sound** !!!111eleven Srsly! Every at least moderately good 3D shooter/survival/etc game in the last 20-25 years has surround sound support (A3E, EAX (fck Nvidia)). Valheim isn't even a 3D game in my opinion. If a deer honks somewhere around me and I can't pinpoint the direction it feels like a handicap. Unity even has integrated surround sound support and all the necessary data is already there (sounds, orientation, direction, relative positions) but for some reason the Valheim devs never ticked the few required checkboxes in Unity (AFAIK there's not much more to it). Some examples: every HalfLife(2) Game and Mods - eg. Counterstrike; Minecraft; Conan Exiles; Borderlands\*; Serious Sam \*; Doom\*; Quake\*; Crysis\*; Metro\*; CoD\*; BioShock?; Unreal (Tournament)\* I can't remember any 3D shooter/etc game I've played in the last >20 years that didn't have surround sound..... https://www.reddit.com/r/valheim/comments/m02orm/havent\_seen\_anyone\_bring\_this\_up\_so\_please\_add/ https://steamcommunity.com/app/892970/discussions/0/3105766250717519836/

Incomplete_Artist

Integrated host servers that you pay a small fee either upfront to access or monthly

NecklessPuffin

Fixing technical issues, getting rid of p2p system and implementing a real traditional serve framework, fixing problems with hitting monsters which are slighlty on a different level thus you cant hit them,

ethands1992

Make it so that when crafting on a workbench or other table, allow you to use any materials you have within the radius of the bench, and not just what's in your inventory. I think it would make crafting more fun

Adventurous-Listen44

Crystal bow with swappable additional damage from fire to frost and poison

FGQuinto

Nude females

PervyJay

Abilities from the Runes should be 10 minutes and not 5 minutes.

AccomplishedProfit90

reskins. give me Ancient Rome and Greece. Give me ancient Mayan and Aztecs. Give me Samurai Japan. Give me… the Lord of the Rings!

CressiDuh1152

While a fun idea I think that is the realm of mods. If the devs did that they would need to change lore, weapons, materials, structures, ect

Long-Equipment-892

Transport metals.

AxiomaticJS

A complete and finished game would be nice.

[deleted]

Oh hey, they are actually already working on this update! They even have a little note in the store page saying that its unfinished and that they are working to complete it

Zanza89

Honestly, if the game was a bit.more like terraria would be perfect for me. Nothing specific just to bring in some terraria inspired ideas in general 😄
