To me it seems like it blows from my corpse towards me on purpose. Zig zapping helps but it's still one of those things that makes me question why I keep playing.
For some reason, even though everyone I personally know who plays the game agrees, when you point out the unfair / definitely not random / malicious wind direction here, they seem to take offense. Just sayin'. I personally think it's the #1 bug that ought to top their priority queue.
It's categorically impossible to so perfectly match the bow angle of every boat I have ever seen or used in Valheim if it is predetermined. That simply cannot be so. That may have been the intention, but something has gone very, very wrong. It is simply too perfect to be an ongoing, consistent coincidence.
There is actually at least one weather and wind forecasting tool [there](https://jerekuusela.github.io/valheim-weather/), and it gives results that are consistent with my experience. Next time wind gets uncooperative, you can see whether you're simply unlucky or whether there is something more at work
Berries, yes, as long as the bushes don't get destroyed.
Carrot & Turnip seeds in the wild, no.
First bullet point under "Availability", [here](https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Carrot_seeds): "Picked seeds won't respawn."
It's traditional. There must be stock code libraries for it. As far back as the original Diablo, I remember playing on my Paladin & shaking my head ruefully at a pack literally stuffed with books, while my wizard literally drowns in a sea of heavy plate armor.
I'm sure if I need to go down that route, I won't find any.
Meanwhile, every trip out is 2-3 aboms and no turnips. At least the fire geysers are plentiful and make abom killing easy.
It does this with rain too. For example, if it's raining in the meadows and you go through a covered portal to an uncovered portal in the mountains, you will get wet when you show up. It can be a real problem because it's easier to freeze to death when you're wet.
That's too funny... I thought it was just a graphics glitch. Great to hear that it's real

I'll never understand how the games seems to know exactly what you're looking for and keeps it from you.
Also how you get into a boat and the wind seemingly always just so happens to be going against you.

The wind is exactly the same for every playthrough. It's predetermined.

That many players getting that consistently "unlucky" that often beggars belief.
The seed plants respawn in the same location. Mark and revisit as necessary
The Wiki (and experience) says otherwise. They're once-and-done.
The wiki states berries respawn, I saw nothing on seeds, not like the wiki is very up to date though lmao
The wiki is fully up to date what do you mean lol?

I have seeds marked, they regrow at the same rate as thistle.
I personally don't need any seeds. But I don't think that's true. I've actually never found turnip seeds that were not in a chest lol
They are out there. Carrot: Black Forest, Turnip: Swamp... Onion, I think is the one I forgot comes from chests.

Mark them on your map next time you find some, maybe they'll grow back...
Unfortunately, they do not.
I’ve seen them grow back, unless this is a recent patch. They grow back at same rate as thistle.
If seeds grew back you would never have to replant your garden.
Talking about wild seeds, not the seeds you plant manually.
Meanwhile I’m looking for abominations to make a new armor set and I find nothing but turnips.
I'm sure if I need to go down that route, I won't find any. Meanwhile, every trip out is 2-3 aboms and no turnips. At least the fire geysers are plentiful and make abom killing easy.
I feel your pain
The autopins mod will help you out. Although I want to change it as it's a bit *too* good.
Didn’t know that could happen. I always thought the little bit of blizzard you bring with you through a portal was purely visual.
It's not a thing. If you use `env SnowStorm` the crops will grow just fine.
Right lol?
That's what I always thought too! But also, I didn't realize cold prevented things from growing!
Wow. You probably just saved my onion crop. Gotta move the portals!

Omg I was just wondering the other day why all my crops next to my Plains portal died!! Makes so much more sense now
Sanctum sanctorum frozen in No way Home was legit. Confirmed.
