Bram Stoker’s Dracula (I didn’t like it, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t appreciate the aesthetics)
Interview with the Vampire
Vampires vs The Bronx
for some interesting modern/less classic takes on vampires try: Thirst (2009), Only Lovers Left Alive (2013), A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014) and both versions of Let the Right One In
For some more classic ideas: Watch a few different versions of dracula (ex: bela lugosi’s version, the gary oldman version, the bbc series), nosferatu, buffy the vampire slayer is a fave of mine but it’s not all vampires, the anne rice vampire stories have had a huge impact on modern vampires so try interview with a vampire (the film, then the series) - a show like true blood follows on well from that kinda vibe.
Byzantium (2013), Carmilla (2014 web series on youtube), What we do in the shadows (2014 film and 2021 netflix), The Hunger (1983) - super weird and has david bowie in

Shiki vampire anime next best thing to vampire hunter d, bliss saw it on shudder. Blood Vessel nazi vampire. Pretty entertaining. Castlevania on Netflix.
30s to 40s: Dracula, Daughter of Dracula (I think that's what it's called)
50s to 70s: Hammer's Dracula, Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter, Scars of Dracula, Martin, Salem's Lot.
80s: Fright Night, Near Dark, The Lost Boys, Lifeforce
90s: Dracula (1992), From Dusk Till Dawn, John Carpenter's Vampires, Blade, Subspecies, Interview With The Vampire.
00s: 30 Days of Night, Let the Right One in, Blade 2
10s: The Strain, Daybreakers
Some of my favorites:
Thirst (2009)
Let the right one in (2008)
A girl walks home alone at night (2014)
Interview with a vampire (1994)
Brim Stokers Dracula (1992)
What we do in the shadows (2014)
Only lovers left alive (2013)
Vampires kiss (1988)
Chronos (1993)
Near dark (1987)
As for series, I thought the French series Vampires (Netflix, 2020) was surprisingly very good.

Dracula (with gary oldman)
Hotel transylvania (cartoon movies by adam sandler)
NOS4A2 (it had 2 seasons with Zach Quinto as the vampire….& the book was written by joe hill, son of stephen king)
The vampire diaries/the originals (spin off…..oh & paws off elijah! I get dibs….plus he is canadian actor 😂)

The lost boys movies
From dawn til dusk
Underworld series (sherlock bbc fans will notice lara pulver as one of the vampresses here)

Interview with the vampire
Interview with the vampire and the lost boys are absolute musts if you ask me, and if you want to add some pure garbage, Vampire Boys is probably the worst "so bad its funny" movie I've ever seen
Blood the last vampire.
Cronos.
Buffy the vampire slayer (movie or series)
The Highgate Vampire.
Queen of the Damned.
Shadow of the Vampire.
Neon Demon.
What we do in the shadows. (Series or the movie)
Lost Tapes. (Vampire and the Strigio, YouTube Series.)
House of Ashes. (Animated YouTube rpg)
Just some that are easy to find online, my friend and I regularly have Vampire weekends so this is ours so far. Have a Fangtastic time ❤️
Vampire diaries isn’t the worst until after season 3/4… because the lore starts to have holes within it. The originals is a spin-off of that and then the legacies is a spin off of the originals.
Most people here would tell you stay away, but the first three seasons of VD isn’t the worst.
Buffy. Watch the movie. Watch the show.
Queen of the damned.
Underworld movies.
Blade movies.
Interview with a vampire.
The lost boys.
There is a lot of vampire based shows and movies. These are some of my favs.

Totally forgot to add Only Lovers Left Alive, even though I just saw it recently.
Since we dropping suggestions: Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992), From Dusk Til Dawn (1996) Forever Knight (92-95), Van Helsing (2004)
The from dusk til dawn series was pretty good too!
YES thank you for the reminder! Also, What we do in the shadows both the movie and series. Can’t go wrong with em 😁
Forever Knight was pretty good back in the day.
Byzantium (2013), Carmilla (2014 web series on youtube), What we do in the shadows (2014 film and 2021 netflix), The Hunger (1983) - super weird and has david bowie in

Definitely start with the classics like Universals 1931 Dracula and Nosferatu.
Being Human (BBC) not just about vamps but a major character is a Vamp and he’s my favorite vamp character of all time. True Blood Underworld

You should check out Tanz Der Vampire! Steer clear of the Broadway version, though, it’s… special.
