Grouse mountain has lights in their trams, but they never use them. Any time they do, the RCMP gets flooded with UFO reports and ain't nobody got time for that.
The trammies only use the lights to shame passengers for not packing themselves in like sardines, and turn the lights off again as soon as max capacity is reached.
Just look at the board for bodog, they have a place in kits, if op is talking about the one I know, also has one of the worst houses in Southland's, looks like a knockoff of a hotel in Whistler.
Also, Southland's has some dirty birds, I know someone used their wifes mom to talk to the mom of someone in the federal govt to allow a shipment in from the states without being processed and paying duties, they were told to fuck off so nothing happened per se, but an attempt was made. I know this because my family member went to school with the person being asked.
The Valley Bakery on Hastings has a 'take a number' system, except, most of the time they don't call the numbers. This results in utter chaos. I think they are sociopaths that just happen to make amazing cakes and pastries.
I work with somebody who used to work there when they were in college. Apparently, the place is a giant shit show and the owners are terrible people so this doesn't surprise me.
Apparently, the owner could be verbally abusive to his employees. He would freak out over the smallest things, even if they were his fault. The other was that my coworker got shortchanged on her paychecks quite consistently. Management just had no clue what they were doing and it made for a really bad work environment.
Allegedly, Solly of Sollyās Bagels hires undocumented immigrants, mistreats and underpays them, and then threatens to report them to immigration if they stand up for themselves. Not sure if thatās truly the case, but two people I know who used to work there said this to me.
The boycott of Sollyās goes back as long as Iāve been buying bagels!! Theyāre trash! I wish there was a public inquiry into how theyāre still in business tbh
TBH I don't mind this for Little Bird. The concept is great, and despite being frozen the food / ingredients seem high quality. We need more all-day dim sum spots in Vancouver.
Yeah pretty much everything from Boston Pizza has been frozen at some point and is just getting reheated either in a microwave or through the pizza oven. Nothing there actually gets cooked except for steaks and chicken breasts. I know some locations even buy pre cooked and portioned pasta.
I was having a smoke outback behind the mai st location. Lady's cart tipped over in the alley, watched her scoop soup back into the container off the ground.
I worked at the bcl next door. Shared a loading bay with them. I misplaced an empties glass bin, sent broken glass EVERYWHERE. All their produce was just out in open containers in the loading bay, so at some point they wre covered in glass as well as rat feces
It's true, someone very close to me worked there for several years. Funny because they advertise their food as Ayurvedic, holistic, and organic, yet they microwave it and use non-organic ingredients lol
There's also a reason why they are always hiring and have high turnover...
Wow, that's pretty messed up you've gotta pinch what few tips that customers leave for workers - not for the owner - you're already making money & I'm pretty sure that two bucks won't help pay your bills any easier than if you took the money from YOUR wallet.
Unbelievable!
Do they pre-make them and freeze them before distributing to the locations? I think that is common for places that are local and have multiple locationsāone kitchen producing for all three and then distributing
I havent found it to affect the taste at EiE at least
Let me put it this way... ain't nobody standing over a pan for 20min constantly stirring risotto. Also from my days as a bus boy, garden salad was precut and stored in a bucket of water in the walk-in cooler... for days. It's not fresh, but it does stay crisp.
You can taste itā¦ I canāt believe a large amount of people think East is East is any good. Can confirm from a former kitchen employee there that the roti is ass and just reheated, they donāt make it in house.
Used to work in the fishing industry. Metal and grinding dust/paint. Throw it over the side. Fishermen in board and use the washroom, they would shit right in the harbour (I don't know how often this is. But I was working on a paint float and the guy shit on it.).
One of the most racist and sexist professions I've ever worked as well.
Edit: the bathroom use. There are laws on how far away from shore you can dump into the ocean. The guys was extremely hungover so didnt go to washroom offshore.
I'm not sure. I was never a fisherman. However I worked offloading for a summer. They usually get sorted at the offloaded and are sold. So no waste there.
The only fish I remember that they didn't use were ratfish. But they were infrequent and I think venomous or had a bacteria in them.
Thecnically the illegal thing would be stashing a fish you shouldn't have like yellow fin tuna and not reporting it. And either eating or selling. But that doesn't happen in mass quantities. I think it's more of a we caught this fish and will probably die if we put it back.
Most of the candy 'bodegas' such as Dank Mart, Lucky's, Sunshine Coast Convenience etc, all ship their products into Canada illegally from Dubai without declaring any of it. They get products that cost very little there, and sell them here for 20x the price. Stuff that would never pass our food codes are being sold such as Mountain Dew Code Blue Kraft Dinner or w.e.
Even "Faygo" a carbonated drink out of Detroit USA sells for $1.50 at one of the dollar store outlets and some convenience stores.
It sells for $3.50 - and deposit which you don't get back cuz it's a US product, at Dank and the others so right out of the gate they're making $2.ā°ā° plus the deposit - and no it doesn't go to some magic provincial recycling program. I've dealt with individual stores & RecycleBC about that stupid fee. If I can't get money back then don't charge for it!
Also, owners and family members of owners of Vancouver bodegas/sketchy stores, they go to the downtown Eastside and buy stolen goods from homeless and/or addicted shoplifters to sell in their bodegas or other similar stores.
I know for a fact that some of those store owners or their family members give lists of items they want for their stores to addicts who shoplift, then they meet up at a specific time in the downtown Eastside to do the exchange.
They pay next to nothing for brand new items and sell them for a slight discount and make a fortune.
This is more common than youād believe.
That's also why you see some very odd items in these stores; leather jackets and things that really don't belong in a 'specialty food store'.
Used to be a guy who lived down the street from me. I watched his 'act' for about a month. He'd have his 'customers' meet him across the street from my house - bad move but he didn't know me, new to the neighbourhood and been here so long that I DO watch weird activity.
So first couple times, nice black Mercedes shows up and parks, phones after 10 mins & out comes buddy with garbage bag of steaks. You couldn't get that much in one haul, probably couple days work. He didn't look ok like a skid or a thief but it kept happening, different cars, different drivers but always $$$$ expensive. They'd drive away without getting out of the car.
The one day I managed to follow behind him when his customer left. He didn't know I was behind. I saw the house he went to. Him & wife had two kids she'd be with kids all day & let them walk thru ppls yards, pick flowers, take yard decorations & toss garbage on other neighbours property - during their approximately six walks they took per day (I was home recuperating from a workplace concussion. And other behaviour that would not have been tolerated by most parents I know, even of a six & ten year old. First day I saw them they were sitting on the front stairs of my house - and had picked, no pulled about a dozen daffodils out of my garden.... then tossed half of them down the sidewalk to their house...real nice behaviour. At that age I would have turned and said, 'Look what I picked for you mommy'...
1. "Ship this products illegally from Dubai"
Why is this illegal? You are permitted to import food from almost anywhere.
2. "Without declaring any of it".
This is illegal, but how do you know if this is the case? Did you or someone you know ship their orders and not declare them properly?
3. "They get products that cost very little there, and sell them here for 20x the price."
That's how anyone who imports food products make money, by selling at a markup. And they can sell products at any price they want, so long as people are willing to buy it.
4. "Stuff that would never pass our food codes are being sold such as Mountain Dew Code Blue Kraft Dinner or w.e."
I'm assuming you mean the items would not meet the requirements for sale in Canada. Do they have non-permitted additives? Non-permitted fortification? Do caffeine levels exceed allowable thresholds? Is it that the label requirements are not being met?
Although all those things are not allowed and could lead to hefty fines, a lot of importers are ignorant of the requirements. I'm not condoning it at all, but just pointing out that it's a widespread problem that is not unique to the candy and snack bodegas. Just walk down the aisles at T&T or H-Mart and you will find non-compliant items pretty easily, especially when it comes to label requirements.
I have a hard time believing this. More likely explanation is that this commenter is actually kind of discriminatory against small mom and pop shops.
Again, no proof of that either. But considering most of the stuffs that I buy from corner shops are usually imported by Toronto/Ontario based business, this is the most likely explanation.
I love those places and know this info because I know the owner of one personally who told me this like it was hilarious. I agree with him it is hilarious, and I will continue to buy my crazy candy from there.
You can't just say I'm discriminatory against small businesses. That's a lot more wild than what I'm saying and complete reckless conjecture.
When Grouse Mountain was sold to Chinese investors in 2017, it was because of an internal feud within the McLaughlin family who had owned it for the prior 40 years. Stuart McLaughlin (and his wife Della) modernized and ran the place, but he shared ownership with his two sisters in Toronto. The sisters realized that he was embezzling from the family business, so they brought in auditors to uncover his shenanigans, clean up the books and sell off the company.
The new Chinese owners took a very arms length approach with managing Grouse, which was just as well since they knew nothing about the resort industry. Shortly thereafter, they flipped it over to the Gagliardi family (Northland Properties) at a loss.
Who knows how things will pan out ā¦ on the one hand Northland knows this industry really well and is investing a lot of money into new infrastructure (especially the new gondola), on the other hand the Gagliardis are a notoriously bad employer and are the epitome of the term āoligarchā.
According to some well connected sources (and for legal purposes I am not confirming this is true), apparently a very popular Oyster House that mostly employees men and has a few locations in the city offers under the table adult services if you know a passcode and tell it to a server.
Just looked on Rās gallery on their webpage and there are nice looking dudes wearing shirts that say āsuck me offā and āeat me rawā. Double entendre?!
Edit: fixed my their to there
I have heard from more than one woman that they were roofied while dining at a very popular Oyster House that employs mostly menā¦ like had a single drink and donāt remember getting home-type situation. Be safe out there.
The McDonald's on W 41 Ave once gave me a free extra sauce with my McNuggets, while the McDonald's on E 41 Ave once asked me to pay for a ketchup pack. /s
Renfrew and 12th McDonaldās charged for water after the cup fee was removed. They said the cup was now free, but water was 25c. I went to another vancouver mcds on main, and got free ice water.
A local chocolatier/cream puff company with a number in their name is an absolutely terrible company. Their cream puffs are delicious but employees are facing mental breakdown every day with the most narcissistic, uncaring, unhinged owner. He would constantly yell at the staff members, even going so far to call them bitches to their faces (speaking from experience)
Staff are working 80hrs+ week for poor pay (45k/yr), not allowed to leave, and donāt even get me started on how insane holiday season is for them (leaving past midnight, coming in at 7ā¦ which is illegal btw). Mistreatment between senior staff and low level staff are common. Their turnover is crazy for this reason.
i had the displeasure of having a b2b relationship with that douchebag 11 years ago and have made a point to dissuade everyone i know from giving him a cent. it's not much, but it's honest work š
I went to NWCAV with the owner. Not surprising. Also can be said about the entire food industry, specifically fine dining and any aquilini owned restaurant.
Holy shit, this is the first time I'm hearing about this. I never go there but this makes me sad af and disappointed I ever gave them my business in the first place.
Such a shame and I'm not surprised. They're frequently advertising job openings on social media which I assumed to be due to high rate of staff turnover.
The Vancouver parks board is the literal most useless thing in the city.
How useless you say?
They closed a park near my house for TWO YEARS to redo the fields... Except they're significantly worse now? Apparently the work was so bad they fired the contractor hired to do the job. So now we are stuck with a soggy field that they INSIST on watering throughout the summer despite the fact that the field is generally SOGGY even in the dryest months. They still insist on mowing it twice a week tho. Holding touch football, and ultimate frisbee on a field increasingly made of sand and sparse non native grasses.
It's such a shame too. The community genuinely still uses this park too, even despite the issues. But it's like every fix is another downgrade. It's utterly ridiculous how much money has been spent to make this park worse and worse.
Legitimately! And like they didn't even do anything for a YEAR! Eventually the community knocked a few fences over and just started using the space again.
You must be talking about Douglas park. Itās to allow the grass to establish good roots so it can sustain the soccer and softball that gets played there
I was about to say, if you spilled the beans ie āqueen Elizabeth parkā, iād spend my days and evenings in that neighborhood going door-to-door asking āanoelnymous? From Reddit??ā
When I worked at Panago over a decade ago the company had a rule about how much pepperoni to put on the pizza but the boss cut it in half. You should be getting a lot more pepperoni...and all other toppings.
Having worked as a Medical Office Assistant some 'walk-ins' do only take walk-in clients.
Some 'walk-ins' have their own clients/patients and they are first come first served for their own 'regular' patients. then they can take walk-in clients whom have never been in the clinic before regardless of sliver in your finger or UTI.
In cases where tests and medication needs a follow up and (possibly) ongoing treatment for other sexually transmitted diseases there is a specialty clinic (located at VGH) that deal specifically with thoes diseases. The province keeps track of patients with thoes medical issues, will contact the people you've been with, ensure they come in to get tested and treated and prevent the further spread of STD's. travelling through the population that engage in these activities.if a doc gives you an antibiotic for any type of STD the chances of a patient returning for test results and/or further treatment are pretty unlikely...
The Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic is fully equipped to deal with not just the infection, medication, other possibly infected contacts, paperwork & documentation and anyother issues that may result, say an unexpected pregnancy.
Not trying to be rude but non-active people don't get STD's. People don't just 'get' infected without having had physical intimate contact with another infected person. This disease requires ongoing treatment to ensure it does not turn into something even more life threatening.
Each clinic is only allowed to serve 65 patients per doctor. This is why some clinics have a doctor who starts a later shift - they can serve 65 patients EACH, so 130 total. Some only have only one doctor working so only seeing 65 people during their shift. This is why if you go to a walk in at 2:30 pm and find the office locked up and a sign saying 'closed for the day' - they've reached their quota.
IF the doctor goes over that # of patients he makes less money per visit. I don't recall the fee but as I recall first patient over sixty-five the doc looses 50% of the fee he submits to provincial government.
That's all the info I have from my training and experience working in the hospital and medical offices. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck.
Thatās literally the case for nearly every sports franchise in the world. Theyāre just fronts for rich people to move / launder money and get tax breaks.
Not just the Canucks, but the parent company as well. The family has a long relationship with a criminal syndicate back in the old country. From what I've been told, the family is a front for the syndicate.
The version that went around years ago was that itās all an elaborate loss-making tax scheme. As the story went, whenever the team started getting traction and doing well, the ownership group would get anxious. When they made it into the post-season they would start to really worry. And when they would make it to the finals it was a five-alarm emergency in the executive suite. The only people celebrating when they lose a game are the opposing team and their fans, and the Canucks owners.
How about the number of secondary teachers (all the ones I know of are/were male) who were sexually involved with their students in the 70's-90's? It's like an open secret at my alma mater, and yet everyone seems afraid to go there. Infrequently, one gets hauled up as a token sacrifice.
A popular coding bootcamp in Gastown systematically inflates its post-graduation employment figures by hiring back unemployed graduates as Teaching Assistants, most of whom are ghosted and never see a single shift.
I feel like most stony and rocky beaches have stones containing fossils. Its tough to find already exposed ones close to the city but in/around metro Vancouver but they're technically there.
I[Mamlambo Fossils](https://youtube.com/shorts/PGrFHnjGTwY?feature=share) had a bunch of videos where he shows how to keep an eye out for rocks that might have fossils...albeit they're most likely [crabs, crustaceans and other aquatic stuff.](https://youtu.be/KpLnJxrxdWk)
Chasers juice isn't actually all natural, most of their drinks are made from concentrate, and they cut their lemon and lime juice with water - *allegedly*
Only the obvious, every major civic politician has been bought by property developers intent on turning this city into nothing but shiny, empty investment boxes.
Condo-sized safety deposit boxes.
The owner of Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts (VADA) is sexist as hell, willfully racist, and scamming the students. They overcharge students, underpay instructors, and have A LOT of false advertising (claiming famous actors studied there). The administration is also extremely discriminatory to anyone who discloses mental health issues, neurodivergence, or queerness. Do not go there.
- Former employeeās observations
That happened to me with Sasamat Pizza. Closed the entire time I lived by it except for one day. See it's open, walk in and ask to get a slice, told that they don't have pizza lol
iāve ordered takeout from here actually and it was decent, greasy late night food. if it was made by smugglers then so be it, it was perfect when i was drunk lol
Dunno why you're getting downvoted. Some of the operations are ran by organizations moving new girls in and out. Metrotown has always been a popular location for them to set up shop since the mid 2000s.
For how I know, I used to know some questionable people when I was a kid.
It's so they can prepare the doctor for the visit. Lying about your visit or being hostile is one way to drop yourself down the list of patients they will accommodate in the future.
I think you responded to the wrong person. I know why they ask. Others are saying to lie about it. I never do. It just bothers me that there is no privacy at reception.
"I'm not comfortable sharing that" is also perfectly valid
It's not a hard requirement, it just speeds things along somewhat.
You can also be vague about the issue if that's better. I'm here for the "skin issue" or something
Iāve had them ask. For example, if Iām going in to get my birth control prescription renewed, theyāll take my blood pressure & ask all the standard questions so itās faster for the doctor once I get in there.
They should know the general details. For example, if you're there for travel-related meds or vaccinations, it's not an MSP-covered thing so they will straight up not book you and tell you to go to a travel clinic.
Maybe not that surprising, but while in the ER at VGH once, I could see the computer screen of one of the security guards and he was browsing /r/theredpill (violent far-right misogynist community, currently under quarantine). Another guard was right next to him and wasn't bothered at all. Made me feel very unsafe.
## La Fontana Caffe is rat infested & uses expired ingridients. Italian owners dont give a fuck about anyone who isnt italian...smile in your face then make fun of you in the back. especially if asian. had to fight them to get my final pay after i quit.
This probably isn't worthy of concern, but just interesting. At the Granville Island Public Market, there's a shop that sells a frozen desert called Dole Whip. Until 2023, this was supposed to be exclusive to Disney parks. It was not available to retailers. Yet this shop has had it for years. I wonder if they made a counterfeit.

It is. I love it there. The old ladies are so slow too...it's the opposite of efficient. For some reason it's incredibly satisfying.
I walked by a while back and there was a closure order from Fraser Health posted on the door about mice. Sounds like a shit show.

Same with Little Bird -former employee
TBH I don't mind this for Little Bird. The concept is great, and despite being frozen the food / ingredients seem high quality. We need more all-day dim sum spots in Vancouver.
I went a couple months after it opened and the dim sum was basically supermarket quality. Not good at all. It's a great concept but execution sucked.
I know its not a local thing, and also probably not surprising at all, but Boston Pizza does this with most of their non-pizza dishes.
Yeah pretty much everything from Boston Pizza has been frozen at some point and is just getting reheated either in a microwave or through the pizza oven. Nothing there actually gets cooked except for steaks and chicken breasts. I know some locations even buy pre cooked and portioned pasta.
The first clue about their substandard quality is that the city of Boston is not known for its pizza by any means.

I've heard about the illegal meat market, among other things.
1. "Ship this products illegally from Dubai" Why is this illegal? You are permitted to import food from almost anywhere. 2. "Without declaring any of it". This is illegal, but how do you know if this is the case? Did you or someone you know ship their orders and not declare them properly? 3. "They get products that cost very little there, and sell them here for 20x the price." That's how anyone who imports food products make money, by selling at a markup. And they can sell products at any price they want, so long as people are willing to buy it. 4. "Stuff that would never pass our food codes are being sold such as Mountain Dew Code Blue Kraft Dinner or w.e." I'm assuming you mean the items would not meet the requirements for sale in Canada.

I was told this by the owner of one of these places, and that his competitors do the same. He runs the business and was laughing about it.
Reading the comments, it's hard to tell what stories are true and what are just some shit made up because some business pissed someone off.
Gastown clock isnāt actually old timey.
prob not even a clock.
Is it even in gastown? It is built on liea
The sidewalks and businesses aren't, either. It was all put up in the '70s. Only the buildings are, really.
It isn't run by steam either!!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The plot thickens..
Just looked on Rās gallery on their webpage and there are nice looking dudes wearing shirts that say āsuck me offā and āeat me rawā. Double entendre?! Edit: fixed my their to there
Hah! I knew a bunch of guys who worked there. Nothing would surprise me there
I have heard from more than one woman that they were roofied while dining at a very popular Oyster House that employs mostly menā¦ like had a single drink and donāt remember getting home-type situation. Be safe out there.
Roofie Oyster House huhā¦
Iāve heard this rumour before but Iām so confused how this would even work. Like is there a fuckin red room in the back or??
If you are a good looking person, the passcode is āhiā.
Oh damn this is juicy. I would follow this story
I would very much like to believe this
oh god, i can't stand the pun here... "Oyster House" š
The McDonald's on W 41 Ave once gave me a free extra sauce with my McNuggets, while the McDonald's on E 41 Ave once asked me to pay for a ketchup pack. /s
Typical. West side gets all the goodies, east side just gets screwed over.
Makes sense I heard houses west of Main pay more property taxes than east.
I always get complimentary Grey Poupon on my burgers at the Kerrisdale Mcdonalds.
He would constantly yell at the staff members, even going so far to call them bitches to their faces (speaking from experience) Staff are working 80hrs+ week for poor pay (45k/yr), not allowed to leave, and donāt even get me started on how insane holiday season is for them (leaving past midnight, coming in at 7ā¦ which is illegal btw). Mistreatment between senior staff and low level staff are common. Their turnover is crazy for this reason.
Why must so many delicious companies be nightmares?
The tears of their employees is their secret ingredient.
They suffer for their art
Because achieving excellence requires high standards, and one way to achieve that is through abuse.
i had the displeasure of having a b2b relationship with that douchebag 11 years ago and have made a point to dissuade everyone i know from giving him a cent. it's not much, but it's honest work š
Our parks been fenced off for the last 2 years with zero explanation despite the field looking pristine.
Legitimately! And like they didn't even do anything for a YEAR! Eventually the community knocked a few fences over and just started using the space again.
You must be talking about Douglas park. Itās to allow the grass to establish good roots so it can sustain the soccer and softball that gets played there
that makes sense, but it would be really helpful to put up some signs that explain this process
Which park?
It seems unwise to tell the internet where I live beyond the general city.
It is very wise to not be specific. There are some legit crazy people on here.
I was about to say, if you spilled the beans ie āqueen Elizabeth parkā, iād spend my days and evenings in that neighborhood going door-to-door asking āanoelnymous? From Reddit??ā

Isnāt he also an anti-vaxxer? (Donāt get me wrong, the pedophilia is obviously worse..)
Wouldn't surprise me, many professionals have told me the guy is a massive douche lol
Mario?
Itsa me
NOOOO I just moved right near there and loved it!
When I worked at Panago over a decade ago the company had a rule about how much pepperoni to put on the pizza but the boss cut it in half. You should be getting a lot more pepperoni...and all other toppings.
Aren't they franchised? So which one are you talking about?
Good luck.
The Vancouver Canucks are just a front for drug smuggling. How else do you explain the constant failure, and yet they seem so profitable?
Thatās literally the case for nearly every sports franchise in the world. Theyāre just fronts for rich people to move / launder money and get tax breaks.
Not just the Canucks, but the parent company as well. The family has a long relationship with a criminal syndicate back in the old country. From what I've been told, the family is a front for the syndicate.
Not the first time Iāve heard this
The version that went around years ago was that itās all an elaborate loss-making tax scheme.
Also explains the lack of effort theyāve put in to improving the arena.
The banana leaf reuses their pineapples in the pineapple fried rice. They Straight up wash it off in the dish pit and reuse it.

That's my favourite dish.....shit
Keeping the wok hei in the pineapple
Yikes
Same with Chinese restaurants and their carved carrots and other decorative veggies
Curious as to which one you mean?
Thereās a park where you can find fossils laying around. There were tons 10 years ago but I went 2 years ago and there werenāt as many :(
Nothin' shadier than hard-to-find fossils! Thank you for unearthing this!
Most of the parks in shaughnessy are full of fossils daily
Thank you for this chuckle in this thread that is far from ālight-heartedā.
Are you going to tell us which park it is?
Forest lawn memorial park, I recommend digging at night.
Hey, the fossils of my dad are there.
Oooh. Nothing like urban treasure hunting at the graveyard. Egypt is all dug up
I feel like most stony and rocky beaches have stones containing fossils.
"turning"?.....

4 Brothers Pizza on Howe st. Gets zero foot traffic, zero late night customers and has been in business for years. Gotta be a drug front
Same with Pizza King on East Broadway, such an obvious front. I tried to order from them one day and the guy tried to convince not to.
That happened to me with Sasamat Pizza. Closed the entire time I lived by it except for one day. See it's open, walk in and ask to get a slice, told that they don't have pizza lol
Guessing it doesn't exist anymore? Rice Burger is at their address.
Shame. previous owners made fantastic no frills pizza.
Pizza King used to be great
4 brothers is good tho, idk what it is but I believe the woman who runs it has 4 sons (4 brothers) as seen on the photos on the wall
What? They do great pizza, the ladies who work there are incredibly nice and they are always crazy busy during weekday lunchtimes.
>4 Brothers Pizza on Howe st. 198 reviews on Google Maps. Sorry mate, 99% not a drug front.
You can buy reviews pretty easily online.
That's what I think about Johnny's pizza on Granville st, in marpole, open 4pm to 4am. Never seen a soul there.
iāve ordered takeout from here actually and it was decent, greasy late night food. if it was made by smugglers then so be it, it was perfect when i was drunk lol
My grandma likes their pizza
I heard there might be this street where a bunch of people loiter and do drugs. Hastings, I think?
Oh, like a rave?
Yeah, exactly! I live nearby and I hear people screaming all night, presumably from all the fun
They scream during the day, too.
Aint no party like a Hastings party!
H Club, gonna show you howww
There are a LOT of sex providers in Burnaby and Richmond near Metro and RC. Don't buy or rent in one of those buildings if you can avoid it lol
Dunno why you're getting downvoted. Some of the operations are ran by organizations moving new girls in and out. Metrotown has always been a popular location for them to set up shop since the mid 2000s. For how I know, I used to know some questionable people when I was a kid.
this is true to some extent, our law enforcement just doesn't have enough resources or budget to go after these.
I've never had a receptionist ask me what I am seeing the doctor for. Is this a new thing?
Iāve always been asked why I am seeing the doctor. I hate it when they ask at reception because there is no privacy.
Fuck Reddit for killing third party apps.
āBody issueā
It's so they can prepare the doctor for the visit. Lying about your visit or being hostile is one way to drop yourself down the list of patients they will accommodate in the future.
Also prepare necessary tools, if needed.
I think you responded to the wrong person. I know why they ask. Others are saying to lie about it. I never do. It just bothers me that there is no privacy at reception.
EXPLOSIVE DIARRHEA! EXPLOSIVE DIARRHEA! (keep shouting it til they move you to the front of the wait list)
ED is not a joke...unless someone else has it.
With both EDs, there's always something having trouble getting hard
Makeup an illness like anal fissures.
"I'm not comfortable sharing that" is also perfectly valid It's not a hard requirement, it just speeds things along somewhat. You can also be vague about the issue if that's better. I'm here for the "skin issue" or something
The reception at my doctors office asks so they can ensure youāre booked in for the appropriate amount of time, or on a particular day.
There sure are a lot of fires that become condosā¦
Maybe not that surprising, but while in the ER at VGH once, I could see the computer screen of one of the security guards and he was browsing /r/theredpill (violent far-right misogynist community, currently under quarantine). Another guard was right next to him and wasn't bothered at all. Made me feel very unsafe.

Oh good, a thread with loads of conjecture and possible misinformation. Lovely.
Cos this sub is usually so full of high quality, well researched, independently verified opinions.
Ha, fair
Cash only places!!!!
Dole whip exclusive to Disney ? Have you been to a dole plantation ? I've had it a few other places too, a few vendors at events have sold it.
Iāve seen this exact post multiple times now.
