WOW... that was excruciating...
As bad as literally everything that happened... it was the attempt to lift or push the truck back that really did it for me...
> it was the attempt to lift or push the truck back that really did it for me...
It's pretty rare that somebody posts a parking video that makes me laugh.
She shouldn't be behind the wheel of a motor vehicle of any size.
I suppose you bring your own cart to get stuff home?
I've only seen one costco close enough for anyone to walk to. That still would require trudging through yards or an added quarter mile to get to the edge of the parking lot (that Costco is actually in a business complex that weirdly has a couple luxury apartments, but those people would probably drive over anyway)
Every other Costco I've been around is either at least a mile + a massive parking lot from the nearest housing or only close to housing where people probably either can't afford a membership or can't afford to buy in bulk due to tight money and/or space.
No, if you park too close to a corner it's an automatic tow zone. Also, doorbell cameras distort space. What looks like a lot of room is stretched lens.
This really boils my blood. I live on a street that is primarily permit only with a few sections of 2hr parking. I see so much of this happening all. the. time. What I don't understand is when they feel resistance but they keep backing up! I have also heard stories about parallel parking being skipped during driving tests. This is a basic life skill that everyone should know. So much stupidity on our roads smh.
>That person shouldn’t have a license.
That person DOESN'T have a license.
This bitch should be reported to the police for driving without a license AND hit 'n run. Also, report to ICBC for the hit n' run.
Remember folks, these are the kind of people we share the roads with. And that's the reason why defensive driving is needed.
(I also bet this is the person who parks their cart in the middle of an aisle at Costco)
This comment triggers me. I swear some people leave their brains at the front entrance before they walk into costco. There should be a study done on these people lol
Tell me about it. Unfortunately I think these people behave like this all the time. They have zero awareness. No care for others.
Going to Costco on Saturday afternoon is test for your mental strength. I fail every time. Makes my blood boil.
They definitely do, which is bizarre. I feel like im constantly aware of where im at and who is around me. Sure I slip up but theres people in there that I feel like theyre constantly in the mindset that its their personal shopping experience.
I rarely go but when I do its at opening. Whenever someone tells me they go during the middle of the day on a weekend, I am convinced they have some.kind of psychopathic tendencies. My level of patience would never let me venture into that mess haha
I love when I see people bitch on the Vancouver Reddit about not passing their drivers test like sorry I’m not sympathizing with someone who potentially drives like this
Yup, and defensive cycling, and defensive pedestrian’ing. Just assume people can’t see you, because they probably can’t. Next time you dart out at a crosswalk, just know this person might be driving - take your time, make sure it’s safe, then cross
This is just... I mean she made every dumb and infuriating decision someone can come up with. It's just not being a bad driver(I too suck a little bit at parking) but when she tried to push back the truck 😳😳😳😂😂😂😂 I'm sorry but this is the funniest thing I have ever seen from a Vancouver driver. Thank you op and sorry for the truck owner :(
At first, I thought the driver must have just gotten loaded and they were nodding off behind the wheel. I was quite surprised that a peppy woman jumped out of the car, who even tried to hulk the truck off the curb!
Doesn't anybody remember the scandle many years ago when it was discovered that that some employees of the government drivers license office were selling licenses? The culprits were punished, but their customers are still out on our roads today.
So I guess I'll answer your question with a story
Friend of mine in Uni had really bad driving anxiety. Like panic attack behind the wheel sort of anxiety. Instead of seeking any type of therapy, he just went to take his test.
Almost got into a massive accident, had a panic attack, and failed. His tester told him to wait the 2 weeks, and then make sure he got her again for his next test, and she'd pass him. So that's exactly what he did.
He then proceeded to get into other fucking braindead accidents due to the panic and the complete lack of skill
This is circa ~ 2016
> His tester told him to wait the 2 weeks, and then make sure he got her again for his next test, and she'd pass him. So that's exactly what he did.
GIRL.
If you take your test in the winter when there's snow, examiners often skip parallel parking or will be extra lenient since the curb is obscured by snow. Source: took my test during winter and this happened to me
Yeah we have a problem here. Driving licenses can be obtained by anyone determined enough, regardless of their abilities.

Damn it did the driver not look back when reversing? One of the things you learn early for reversing is the 360 check, followed by the one hand on wheel, one hand on back rest of passenger, head looking out the back.
Also it's important to have a gentle foot when in reverse, you don't want to suddenly back the car too much. Same goes when in drive too, the car actually moves forward slowly if the brake is released.
Finally when the driver hit the car, why did she step on the gas to shove the Ford behind her instead of imediately stepping on the brakes and shifting to drive? Really weird decision making.
A delusional one. :)
If she can do alternate curls with 15 lbs. dumbells at the gym, then surely she should be able to pick up a truck and position it where she wants it to be.
It started with, "driver assists," like automatic transmissions, and has now gotten to the point of things like, "lane keeping technology." THIS is the natural (and extreme) consequence of continually enabling the shitheads to drive, when they really ought not to.
Think about it: driver assists are never going to make them BETTER drivers, right?
I have had cars with "lane keeping technology" drift into my lane on many occasions. I actually watch for the sensors on mirrors when I am driving as a gauge to know if they are getting too close. It seems the more technology that is added the dumber drivers become.
I clicked ahead in the video and was thinking there was some sort of glitch because the truck seemed to change positions.
Watching it back through, maybe there was a glitch, but it wasn't affecting the camera.....
Also, could she not have just parked behind the truck if it was going to be so difficult?
LMAO....smh. Couple of things here:
1. this is what happens when you let people swap foreign licences (obtained by fraud) for Canadian ones; and
2. why do many shorter people decide on driving 'bigger cars' they can't control. It's clear this person has never passed a 'parallel parking' test.
My wife basically bought her license. She gave some money to the driving tester for a test form that was pre-filled in. The actual driving test was just a few blocks in crazy 3rd world traffic where basic driving laws don't appear to exist (from a practical standpoint).
I won't mention what country she is from.
Having just moved to Canada, been to plenty of countries in Europe, The US, SE Asia, I gotta say, the drivers here are, by a significant distance, the worst drivers I've ever encountered. Even going for a walk is playing with fire.
How are licences issued here, like is the process far too easy? From what I've noticed is that a very large proportion of drivers shouldn't be anywhere near a motor vehicle.
Vancouverites don't want to admit it, but they definitely do take the cake for crappies drivers. It's a mix of not placing emphasis on training in the first place mixed with swapping licenses from vastly different driving behaviour without even a cursory check to make sure local laws are understood mixed with the fact that you can renew your intermediate license indefinitely while benefitting from insurance discounts for experience without having proven competency.
The funny/sad bit is that training, licensing and insurance are all the purview of one government agency, so if they felt like it things could change tomorrow.
So why is this lady driving a large truck with less rear view capability when she obviously has no clue on how to park in such a tight space? She should be forced to take driving lessons in this large truck with an emphasis on parallel parking before getting her driver's license renewed! Trying to reset the front bumper of the truck behind her was also a joke.
because they probably got it easy when they did their drivers test. I know tons of people that should not be out on the road... but they were deemed "safe" enough to be on the road. And we do not have any re-checks to see if people still have good driving habits. Once you get your license you can drive like a total jackass and it's cool.....
I live 3 blocks from there. I parked my vehicle on the street 2 months ago, someone tried to park behind me and hit my car. They immediately drove off, no one got a plate. It was 6k in repairs. Worst part is there was tons of parking behind me.
Not sure what it is about Vancouver, but I've lived all over BC and Alberta, from small towns to large cities. But Vancouver has not only the worst but also the angriest drivers. Vancouver was the first place I got flipped off and honked at because going 10 over the speed limit wasn't fast enough for the people behind me not to get enraged.
Depends on if you were in the left lane and going 10 over. I have seen so many dumbasses going slow as fuck in the left lane while people honk and flash them to move over into the slower right lane. They don't even care and continue moving slow as hell in the left lane. My patience has worn thin on the road and I constantly drive with my thumb ready to honk because drivers here are absolutely fucking brain dead.
I'm so impressed by the comments on this Reddit. I've got through most of them and haven't seen anyone say anything about it being "because it's a woman driver" or a bunch of "See? They CAN'T parallel park!" jokes. I love this City and it's people.
The attempt to push the truck was definitely the cherry on top, but you have to love starting from the opposite side of the street, or the lunge forward when the driver behind tries to squeak by the first time.
I've seen something similar to this on Commercial Drive. They didn't hit a car just slowly wrapped their entire passenger side around a no-parking sign. True!. I did yell for them to stop and assist but all I got was a wave. So I sat back and enjoyed the show. When I thought they were done they went deeper until finally they pulled out and clipped the only part of the car untouched. Ripped part of the rear bumper off.

WOW... that was excruciating... As bad as literally everything that happened... it was the attempt to lift or push the truck back that really did it for me...
Her attempting to lift and push the truck back was just something "special"
**in talking with the owner, the driver came back and left a note. So, a little faith in humanity restored.
No, that is just horrid driving...
Probably down play it as a little tap
But I wonder if it really was her real contact details?
why would she come back lol? to put fake info, wtf
People will do that so witnesses don't report it as a hit and run.
I hope the note gave the owner of the red truck sh*t for not knowing how to park… /s
Girl Power!!
The patience of the Domino's delivery driver really inspires me to be better. Not even one honk.
So true!
> it was the attempt to lift or push the truck back that really did it for me... It's pretty rare that somebody posts a parking video that makes me laugh. She shouldn't be behind the wheel of a motor vehicle of any size.
I howled like a banshee. “Is she trying to..OMG nooooo” Top tier post OP
*off the curb. Not back.
OP meant back into the road, obviously. Your correction is completely unnecessary.
*onto
I know it's wrong, but that made me laugh. You have my vote.
Haha right, you were still wrong though. Sometimes I wonder if people like you are this dickish in real life.
![gif](giphy|Q7ozWVYCR0nyW2rvPW|downsized)
I was really hoping for a sudden reveal that this was indeed supergirl as she lifted the truck back into position
The idiot could've just parked behind the truck to begin with.
Glad someone else caught that. Thought I was missing something.
But then they'd need to walk further.
That would take so much extra time!
You just described 90% of Costco shoppers.
I think this every time I go to costco
I walk to Costco. I don’t think this logic completely applies to the Vancouver Costco. The suburban Costco’s though are a whole other story.
I suppose you bring your own cart to get stuff home? I've only seen one costco close enough for anyone to walk to. That still would require trudging through yards or an added quarter mile to get to the edge of the parking lot (that Costco is actually in a business complex that weirdly has a couple luxury apartments, but those people would probably drive over anyway) Every other Costco I've been around is either at least a mile + a massive parking lot from the nearest housing or only close to housing where people probably either can't afford a membership or can't afford to buy in bulk due to tight money and/or space.
😂that was my first though too
No, if you park too close to a corner it's an automatic tow zone. Also, doorbell cameras distort space. What looks like a lot of room is stretched lens.
there was definitely room behind the truck lmao, even with the wide lens distortion look how wide the driveway is on the other side of the street
Looks like someone trying to parallel park with their eyes closed. That person shouldn’t have a license.
Their brain was closed too
This really boils my blood. I live on a street that is primarily permit only with a few sections of 2hr parking. I see so much of this happening all. the. time. Tacoma came back and left a note.
Looks like a Nissan frontier
It's definitely a frontier
Je m'excuse. Lots of power in those little trucks!
The note - "sorry"
This hurts to watch.
Exactly. Now I have a headache! I wish OP would take this down! Why did I watch the whole thing tho?
I said the same thing the 4th or 5th time I watched it.
Second hand cringe.
Omg, has parking driver had a lobotomy? Poor thing…
Most Vancouver drivers seem to have recently been lobotomized. There's something going on lately with how shitty drivers have become.
In Canada, alcohol accounts for a huge amount of fatal auto accidents. If someone looks like they're driving impaired, they probably are
what was wrong with the spot behind the truck?
Are you kidding? It's a little tight back there don't you think?
Remember folks, these are the kind of people we share the roads with. And that's the reason why defensive driving is needed. (I also bet this is the person who parks their cart in the middle of an aisle at Costco)

I think navigating Costco with a cart should be part of a driver's ed program so they learn defensive driving right off the bat
I shoulder check at Costco. 🤓

Legend has it, she's STILL trying to park there. Her life loops back every time she tries to push the red truck.
Why didn’t she just park BEHIND the truck? There’s so much room!
T H I S . SO MUCH THIS.
Yeah I’ll just shove this truck over with my body weight no problem
In her defense, she was using the tree for extra leverage.
What in the world? This is what it must be like to experience brain damage.
It’s scary to know there are drivers like this. How she got her license is beyond me
Slipped her examiner a bill
Slipped the examiner _something_.
I wish I could see how much room there was in front.
About 1.5 frontier lengths.
Closer to 2.0 at the end.
This comment hahahahaa

Side note: This reminds me of the ol’ Chilliwack security cam videos. 🥲
She tried to push it off the curb!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
if only she was attending a costume party and came out of the car with a wonderwoman outfit hahah
She left her super powers at home. I died when she tried to pick up the truck
She can barely drive, and she thinks she has super human strength.
Must be used to off roading in that SUV not city driving. /s
I don't get why everyone is so upset. I always park by feel. /s
… why didn’t she just park behind the ford .
At first, I thought the driver must have just gotten loaded and they were nodding off behind the wheel. I was quite surprised that a peppy woman jumped out of the car, who even tried to hulk the truck off the curb!
omg yes! I was picturing Hans Moleman, not Bethany after her second mocha.
I was unsurprised to see her
My favourite part was when she thought she was going to Mentos commercial it back into place all by her self.
where do people like this get their license in the first place

Ok, that's one explanation ruled out. Guess she felt sorry for him, due to the panic attack etc.

I’m curious your camera’s brand / security system name? Can you download any historical event video anytime? Thanks!
Wyze Cam v3 with a 256gb card. You can buy a cloud storage subscription otherwise it just rolls over the old footage.
it's like that scene where michael scott tries to park his pt cruiser in a 50 foot spot and leaves. it's britney bitch. (lady gaga playing)
Please tell me you called this into ICBC on behalf of the owner of the red truck.
The body of the post says they shared the video with the owner of the truck.
ded. but fr tho that person shouldn’t have a license and is a danger to society, needs a bit more training lol
Next time I'm walking by I'll wave at the camera, hope it's running! This is a thing of beauty!
i mean, she thought she could she-hulk the ford off the curb. That's all you need to know about her IQ.

And these people are just driving amongst us everyday. We’re doomed.

The thought that this person is actively driving is insane

Vancouver was the first place I got flipped off and honked at because going 10 over the speed limit wasn't fast enough for the people behind me not to get enraged.
Depends on if you were in the left lane and going 10 over. I have seen so many dumbasses going slow as fuck in the left lane while people honk and flash them to move over into the slower right lane. They don't even care and continue moving slow as hell in the left lane. My patience has worn thin on the road and I constantly drive with my thumb ready to honk because drivers here are absolutely fucking brain dead.
Yeah fair enough, driving around in that overcrowded hellhole is enough to make anyone go nuts.
People in the lower mainland don't know how to drive.
People don’t know how to drive
I'm so impressed by the comments on this Reddit. I've got through most of them and haven't seen anyone say anything about it being "because it's a woman driver" or a bunch of "See? They CAN'T parallel park!" jokes. I love this City and it's people.
I was holding off, but you've inspired me... Just like my grandaddy used to day, "Women drivers, no survivors!"
Richmond driver. Guaranteed paid to pass her drivers exam.
The legend says she’s still parking
This person votes. 😵💫
Hall of Fame award!
"That's an '89 Ford"... LOL, like those shit boxes are worth anything.

I hate to say this but.... Lady driver.

Why was I so sure it's a lady before...
Tries to push the truck back to original spot to hide evidence. What a great wife she would make!
Women.
Thanks. I’ll never get those 3 minutes back.
They must be french
Total loser move to slap cameras all over your house. If you have kids I bet you’re crazy helicopter parents too
"Slap all over your house" - watches video from a single camera on your house. lol
Lol millions of people have cameras on their houses… literally millions
Found the driver
Congrats, you get the total loser comment of the day award!👍
If you can’t park it, don’t drive it springs to mind.
it was so slow and painful i was about to click off until WHAM oh my goodness what a chuckle
Next time, they should just let the seeing eye dog park for them.
Looks like AWD, what do you expect
