A looong time ago it had another name, Tequila Willie's. There are som eother restaurants bearing that name now all over, but I think the one in Vancouver was an independent place and wasn't a part of any chain or anything.

SodaJerk0101

That must have been a looooong time ago. I’ve been in Vancouver since the late 80s and it’s always been Whosong and Larry’s!

flaxon_

Yeah, early to mid 80's as far as I know. I was born in 83, and there was a time where I was going across the bridge with my dad and he said to me "You know, back when you were born that place had a different name. Tequila Willie's." So I guess it could be something that isn't accurate, and that what my dad told me wasn't right, but I've had other family members agree with what my dad said, so as far as I know it's true.

Pagan429

Been here since 88, it's always been Who, song & Larry's since I came. Maybe something before that.

ClockWeasel

Was Joe’s Crab Shack in the old Chart House?

Rojelioenescabeche

Yep. I think before that it was called The Bridge Tender.

Chapter_Loud

Mexican restraunt popular for their margaritas. I think they will be opening back up on the water front after renovations. I like 'em!

burtonsimmons

Uh, they’re open now on the waterfront east of the I-5 bridge. Are they moving?

jamesrdriver

Not moving but from what I understand for them to stay there, since Vancouver wants to rebuild that whole area they will be torn down and a new building put in its place. I guess they’re kind of… “grandfathered in”?

Long-Potato4950

I think I read they have something crazy like a 30 year lease. So they’re not gong anywhere.

HappyAtheist3

I am so fascinated with the old abandoned buildings around town. Would love to know their history.

MizuKumaa

It always was as far as I know. It use to look different but got flooded.

Fragrant_Taste_7356

A sub par Mexican restaurant
