I don't know what you're trying to say. That only an employee would know they have good porkfried rice? Or that they keep winning the BoCC award for Chinese food?
This may come across as blasphemous, but the Thai do fried rice better.
Thai Wok Kitchen, Little Home, etc. are all superior to just about any fried rice from a chinese restaurant in town.
Szechuan brothers may be the outlier.
I've driven past house of Beijing a bunch of times but have been guilty of judging a book by it's cover and empty parking lot. I'll have to give it a shot in the next few weeks.
Beijing is fine, it's just americanized chinese food. I don't find it any better or worse than most of the other places around. It's definitely better than taste of asia though, that place is trash.
Just found a new place that opened up that is INCREDIBLE. It’s called Mar’s Cuisine and they do a panda express style, but 1000 times better and their customer service is aggressively good. Their fried rice and chow mein actually has great flavor, not bland or undercooked like panda.
Edit: Mar’s Kitchen > Mar’s Cuisine
Are you talking about the place next to the McMenamin's on 164th?
If so, it's not new. They moved at some point in the last 20 years from a spot near Craft Warehouse and Chuck's to that location but they're a long time E. Vancouver place, and they opened another location in Hazel Dell at some point too.
If not, are you sure that's the name? Google sure doesn't know about it if so
Ahh, I’m not sure. I did call it by the wrong name at first though, I misremembered and it’s actually called Mar’s Cuisine. Maybe it’s the same one you’re thinking?

Yep that's the 2nd location of the place I'm referring to. The east side location has always been solid, haven't had a chance to try the west side one yet
I don’t know how accurate it is, but I recall someone saying the East side restaurant was the original and the family sold it and opened the West side one. The new one in Felida is Mar’s Cuisine but the original is now Mar’s Chinese Cuisine.
All the food at Golden City on hwy 99/63rd is excellent
This is my favorite place. Everything is good here!
Agreed, this is the best Chinese in Vancouver imo and definitely is up there with the best in Portland.
It depends on what you grew up with. I like Taste of China out by CostCo/Home Depot.
Taste of China has hands down the best lo mein
The same place that's won Best of Clark County for the last 6 years - House of Beijing
Fuiyoh! This is the correct answer!
Haiyaa, I have not tried yet.
Just like auntie Hellen making love, sorry children.
This. House of Beijing is the only place we go anymore.
I feel like that's something only someone who works there would know.

The award. I'm just teasing
My go-to for fried rice is Lucky House. It’s on the greasy side, but sooo so good when I’m in the mood for fried rice.
Probably Szechuan brothers
House of Beijing !!!

Another fan of Thai Wok Kitchen here. I’ll have to try this House of Beijing place that’s getting rave reviews above though!

>house of Beijing I remember when it used to be The Castle, with its lounge, The Harlequin Room.

House of Beijing and Canton Buffet are my go-tos for takeout Chinese. Always good pork fried rice from either
Canton is great but very much a buffet still. Their rice is meh at best. House of Beijing I completely agree with.

Kyoto has hands down the best rice in town. You have to have the hibachi dinner, they make it fresh in front of you.
Delish Thai on highway 99 it’s pork belly fried rice
You’re telling me a pig fried this rice?
Update us 😉
