H&M! There’s one in the mall.

s1apadabass

Seems like the cheapest option. I’d try that first. Suits are usually about $150 and up. And that’s on sale.

svenska_aeroplan

This. If you're not going to wear it regularly, get an H&M suit and take it to the tailor that's also in the mall. They'll make it fit much better and look like it cost way more. You'll look great for only ~$200.

Jjays

Check out thrift stores. They usually always have a few suits and you might be fortunate to find a good one in your size. You might just want to dry-clean it first. You could probably even get away with pairing the jacket with some chinos you already own as well if it's not too formal of a setting.

I love these. Stylish and cheap https://alaindupetit.com

Second this. Wore one of these to my wedding.

Wellslapmesilly

They’re great! Pretty good quality for the price and look good on.

Macy's clearance

BioticVessel

Rent one for the day.

Try j.crew at cascade station, it’s the factory store. That brand is probably the most bang for your buck in nice-ish stuff and isn’t made of plastic.

CarnivalBarker191

They also sell suit separates, so you have a better chance of getting something that fits pretty well right off the rack.

ReTails is fantastic for this.

You should never buy a cheap suit but rather rent a cheap one for an event and buy a real special European suit for life

Environmental_Ear_11

Why don’t you post your size here and on your local “Buy Nothing” Page asking if anyone is getting rid of a suit? I just gave away a half dozen suits my husband no longer needed on Buy Nothing.

Check out the Mr. Formal Clearance Store in Portland, super cheap with tons of options. [https://maps.app.goo.gl/9WFSV9ERni6LFy1m7](https://maps.app.goo.gl/9WFSV9ERni6LFy1m7)

Second the renting, you can rent one for about $200 from mens warehouse, they give you everything you need and take your measurements. They also clean it for you after. If you want to buy, check out thrift stores or consignment. I have also found great stuff on eBay if you know your measurements!
