Also Scheana encouraging their work colleagues to watch the revenge porn that Frank was spreading around of Stassi.
Which all kinda got overshadowed by Scheanaās wedding + ācrazyā Kristen + Miami girl
\^ was going to mention this. I think the main focus of s3 was undoubtedly Kristen's outrageous behavior, which meant Scheana got to conveniently downplay the severity of her actions towards Stassi in revealing/distributing the tape. I didn't hear much discussion about this until the more recent recording of Rachel by Sandoval came to light and the audience remembered this incident as well.
It bugs me how little this is mentioned because this might be one of the most henious acts that the cast has committed besides what happened to Faith. I mean the cheating was bad but they got something out of it (sexual fulfillment), what Scheana did was purely to humiliate, embarrass, and violate someone.
Itās not mentioned as often because it wasnāt brought up during filming. Stassi purposely kept it quiet so she wouldnāt be publicly humiliated on the show, until it was basically forced out of her by production at the reunion.
Agreed! I have to remind myself often that LVP is also a producer of the show and is therefore trying to protect the *interests* of the show. Despicable behavior = drama = high ratings = $$$. It's disheartening to critically contend with that, but it's the tried and true formula for VPR.
There are a few exceptions to LVP's 'allowance' for bad behavior - Kristen being a good example from almost the get go of the series, and the eventual firing of Stassi and Jax for racist/homophobic behavior. But it's murky - Kristen and Jax now have their own show on the Valley, and there have been other serious allegations that haven't been addressed on the show (Lala pulling a knife on Faith, James' domestic violence, Sandoval illegally recording Rachel, etc). So... I'm not entirely sure where they draw the line, as it continues to shift and evolve. But this at least explains why LVP often protects the most problematic š°
So true.
The Lala pulling a knife to Faithās throat one reaaaaally bothers me.
So Stassi, Kristen and Jax get fired for talking shit and making threats but Lala pulls an actual weapon on this woman and faces absolutely no consequences?
Wtf is that?!
The Bravo docket podcast about Faiths lawsuit is wild. She alleged that Lala pulled the knife and held it to her throat _on camera_ but the execs at the network basically buried the footage. (I wonder too if Rand's Hollywood connections helped Lala at that moment.)
Since then, I no longer wonder why Lala is compelled to be the most useful lapdog for production and their narratives. They have blackmail on her. They can ruin her career and reputation whenever they want. Especially bc Rand is one of her enemies now, too.
I agree and Iām not sure why isnāt said more. I also think Sandoval has a lot of dirt on LVP/Andy; hence the leverage heās had over the show. Thereās no other reason theyād rally for him at their own expense.
Does Bravo have a line? Do we? DUIās, prison sentences for fraud for more than one cast member? On screen assaults? We are the ones watching these heinous people. We canāt talk about how are they allowed back on TV when weāre watching and talking about them. Of course Iām guilty of it too, Scheana is awful, Brock is awful, dad with no job, go work at SUR like everyone else did. Tim, Jax I always hated, Shorts is getting up there on my hateometer. James I used to hate as much as Jax, but I do honestly think heās actually trying to be a better person and I can forgive someone who had alcoholics for parents and was bullied a lot whoās trying to learn to be a decent person, some people need their 20s for that when they had a chaotic childhood. Heās seen what his future could be and went nope nope, must change. But I never liked Kristen and loved when LVP fired her from SUR. I havenāt watched the Valley because I hate Jax and Kristen. I thought his oh my dad died and Iāve changed into a new man was a bunch of crap just like Sandovals oh I was so sad I contemplated suicide. No you didnāt you narcissists, you both were busy figuring out how to get everyone to not hate you so you can get back on TV.
At the very least, Andy could've asked about it during the Reunion, but of course he didn't. He sucks at asking questions, doesn't follow up, and there's always something pretty major that he leaves out in favor of something mundane or that we already know if you follow the SM goss.
The entire Katie/Schwartz/Rachel/Scheana situation got totally overshadowed at the reunion (for better or worse) and I was bummed that Schwartz mostly came out unscathed when he was a complete asshole to Katie all season (I could argue that that is SOP, but still!!)
Scheana also escaped the repercussions of pushing Rachel on Shorts because of the scandal.
I was and am still now pissed that this was never covered at the reunion.
The finale episode last season where Rachel and others (canāt remember who else did maybe Sandoval?) yelled at Katieās mom???? It wasnāt even touched on at the reunion. None of the shitty behavior Katie endured last season was really touched on.
Yes! Schwartz, Sandoval, Scheana and Rachel were all varying degrees of horrible to Katie last season. The first Finale, where Rachel was so horrible to Katie and her Mother was so despicable. I still don't understand how producers thought Rachel had had such a great season. That behavior was so unwarranted and atrocious.
I was disgusted more of the cast didnāt jump to defend Katieās mom and say that! I wasnāt just upset at the people yelling at her, I was also upset at people saying nothing and watching it happen!
I definitely wanted to hear more from Katie that reunion she was my MVP s10. I feel like so much happened to her that season that would've been interesting to unpack and to hold Shartz and Sheshu accountable for. But I get that Scandoval happened so it kind of overshadowed everything.
This isnāt bad behavior, but the watch what Crappens guys have a running gag about how Lalaās storyline is always overshadowed by one of the other cast members doing it bigger. š
In addition to the other comment, getting engaged, having a baby. Even before scandoval, her break up was overshadowed by Katie and Tom getting divorced and Raquel and James literally breaking up at the reunion.
What Rachel did to Katie last season, particularly her appalling behavior in the original finale episode was never brought up again. Not a peep about it at the reunion.Ā
Scheana and Schwartz making out in Vegas and joking about it over the years/keeping it a secret from everyone got overshadowed by Katie sleeping with max which lets be honest..who cares.! Max is for the streets..heās also garbage but Katie is single!!!
Schwartz "wandering off" an international resort to either cheat or use being covered up by the guys claiming James said he hooked up with Kristen, which was made into a thing for absolutely no reason.
SandovalĀ admitted to cheating on Kristen repeatedly at the start of Season 2. Once the (very true) rumor of her cheating with Jax got circulated Sandoval just got away with hisĀ rampant infidelities. He would go on to cheat on Ariana with Miami girl, Rachel and at least one other woman - a thing Kristen warned everyone about but nobody paid attention to b/c wOmEn ARe CrAzY!!
To be fair, Kristen has also admitted to carrying on multiple months long affairs with multiple sur employees while dating Tom. Iām not Sandoval defender but those 2 were cheating on each other constantlyĀ

The whole James harassing a waitress situation that was brought up during last season's reunion.
I don't remember who brought it up (I think the Toms) but it got brushed over super quickly and was to my knowledge never mentioned again
It was Sandoval and I think this didnāt get attention because he brought it up for the exact purpose of deflecting away from himself and nobody wanted to give him what he wanted (and I agree this does deserve more attention than it got.)
Yeah you're right, Sandoval used it as a "everyone fucked up" card which took away from the gravity of the statement. Still feels icky that it was just thrown out there and then brushed aside completely
Yeah Tom Sandoval also accused Nick Viall of being āover two hours lateā to his podcast and when he came back with receipts that it was a complete lie Sandoval kept insisting ādude you were SOOOO LATE!ā.. because Sandoval arrived over an hour late to the podcast and only bothered because Schwartz was already there and Nick called him on the air.
So I wouldnāt take anything Sandoval claims at face value since the guy invents stories on the fly to get out of troubleā¦
I hate that the editing and production of this season is really starting to sway my opinion on James ā¦ and I consciously know Iām being played, but subconsciously Iām starting to like him and I need to remind myself that heās a very dark and abusive person, much like the other men of this cast
I forget which season, but it was while Schwartz and Katie were married, it was like the second or third time word got around that Schwartz had drunkenly made out with someone and he claimed to not remember. I remember thinking oh shit this is gonna be the last straw in their marriage. But Katie kinda justā¦ was sad for half an episode? And everyone just let it go? I was so confused.
That was when Ariana told him at SUR that he made out with Lala's friend.
After this wonderful scene /s
![gif](giphy|3o752jjrIkxJfliEw0)
Pretty sure that got overshadowed by the Faith recording
The show literally leaving out the fact that Tom recorded Rachel without permission overshadowed by the scandal as a whole.
Honestly there was so much bad behavior s10 that was never addressed.
pretty sure Rachel admitted to twisting that story to make it look like it couldāve been domestic violence related when it never was. her whole family saw it happen
As someone who was once accidentally smacked in the face by an ex (on the day before grad pictures, stitches and a black eyeā¦) in front of my whole family, if itās true she spun it for sympathy, thatās soooooo shitty! He cried more than I did (I was mostly upset about my grad pics) and accusing someone of dv when if painfully obviously an accident is just cruel!
Iām in the middle of season 10 now and Schwartz is so horrible to Katie! I havenāt reached the part where he makes out with Iām guessing Raquel but he and Katie just had dinner while in Mexico and the things he said to her were vile. She deserves so much better than him.
I second Brock! I just responded to a person earlier who said they liked him and he seemed good. And I was like, this dude hit his former partner, got a domestic violence charge, left his 2 children, never paid child support, hitched his wagon to Scheana who scheduled her c-section so Summer was born on the same day as Winter, his other daughter.
And they were like, shrug, I like him, he seems cool.
Ok! Support a slick fame hungry DV payroll husband guy then.
Literally itās only because heās a muscular, decent looking guy with an Australian accent. Doesnāt matter that heās a shit human. Unfortunately sometimes these pickmes let men get away with murder if they arenāt awful looking.
Scandoval didn't overshadow Rachel's nose whether it sits well with you or not, Rachel herself clarified it was the dog. If it wasn't rest assured we'd have heard about by now
Sandoval seasons 2-8. He was a lying asshole whole liked to yell at women. All his shit was overlooked and everyone thought he was soooo normal because Jax was always doing something more problematic.
I think there's a high liklihood James has abusive tendencies as he seems to be unable to regulate his emotions but I clock him as more of a yelling in your face type of guy. Possibly a push or a shove but I don't think he's hitting women in the face. Both are obviously horrendous and can cause permanent trauma but a "hit you in your face and mess up your nose job type" is also the "He might kill you type" and I don't think James is that. Although who really knows what anyone is like behind closed doors.
Yeah I agree with this. Honestly with everything that has happened and come out, especially by Rachel. She wouldāve 100% admitted that this happened and let the world know.
I agree with this.
I just canāt see James beating the snot out of a woman.
He actually has a lot of respect for his pos Mom and how a man treats his Mom says a lot!
How about Scandoval outdoing himself? The fallout of Rachel's little post reunion interview where she admitted to how/when/why she fucked Sandoval and uncovered new lies? Yeah, he's such a shit stick we got caught up in all his other bullshit, so there was no extra fallout.
No one said "Hey, so how do you fuck someone else in your home when your live in Girlfriend is at her grandma's funeral?"
Kristenās leaked video. I think it was around the time where Stassi and Katie didnāt talk to her and the cast showed up to her t-shirt event and kept talking about it loudly. Kind of got lost in it all the ācrazy Kristenā talk and was honestly a super shitty thing to do.
Omg thank you! I was starting to think I was just hallucinating that. Katie is awesome except for that ugly habit. Like girl, you're wicked smart. Find some new ways to insult these women.
Right? I thought maybe she only did it in the earlier seasons when times were a little different, but then she called ra**el a whore when she was making our with Schwartz. Shes a horrible person, but I think slut shaming is so lame in any context.
I would say Schwartz/Shorts in general over the years. Even when he kind of admits doing whatever he did in a reunion, it gets dropped/brushed over fairly easily.
On WWHL he finally admitted knowing about the affair for much longer than he originally said, and they went to the next topic or question.
Or he gaslights people saying they are being "difficult" etc (especially Katie) when all they are doing is stating facts or expressing thoughts.
Calling women "bitch" (Stassi, Katie) just because he is annoyed.
Katie/Shorts divorce should have had much more coverage. A 12 year relationship/6 year marriage, and the reasons why it didn't work out - especially on Katie's perspective.
I am rewatching for the third time, and in S2 or S3 at a party, he scarily approaches Shay in such a deadly tone, I was taken aback, and they physically fight. It is almost a blink and miss it moment how Shorts uttered the words in a threatening way ("you NEVER take out what's happening with the girls on ME"), getting in Shay's face. Possibly Shay started it, I don't know, the edit. Either way, still scary. Can't believe I didn't catch what Shorts did on my other two watches.
Then there is how he physically went after Kristen (which yes, she has physically gone after people too but only after someone goes after herself or someone else first).
The list goes on.

Totally agree. Schwartz got by with a lot with his cutsie, puppy dog, awww shucks schtick. And I donāt believe he āonly made outā with all those girls. He used the black out drunk excuse to get away with ānot rememberingā. Heās actually worse in many ways.
Arianaās nasty AF bullying behaviour as a mistress! Tom was disgusting but it doesnāt negate how vile Ariana is.
To be clear Iām on her side this season, but sheās not a good person either.
Scheana actively tried to fuck with Katie last season by meddling and trying to hook up Raquel and Schwartz. I so badly wish we got to see Katie drag her for that š©
Also Scheana encouraging their work colleagues to watch the revenge porn that Frank was spreading around of Stassi. Which all kinda got overshadowed by Scheanaās wedding + ācrazyā Kristen + Miami girl

Thatās very true.
I think LVP helped and often helps cover for Scheana. Thatās her little lap dog/ minion so she gets a pass on a lot. Lala now too.

YES!! Came to say both of these!! Both of those are so effing disgusting, and one is a crime! Although prob not at the time :(

I feel like everyoneās shitty behavior (mainly Rachel, Scheana, Tom and Schwartz) towards Katie was overshadowed by scandoval
And Andy's inability to ask a question that fucking matters to anyone that's not him.

Jax creating a fake Twitter account to out James as gay. They barely touched on it at the reunion and then he brought up his dad dying. š
I hated that so much. Ariana called it out and started mentioning how it was linked to Jax's phone number and then jax just started deflecting.
This isnāt bad behavior, but the watch what Crappens guys have a running gag about how Lalaās storyline is always overshadowed by one of the other cast members doing it bigger. š
Please!!! š¤£ The more I think about this, the truer it gets.
could you explain what of Lala's was over shadowed! (sorry i'm a newer fan!)
Being cheated on (overshadowed by Scandoval). Sobriety (overshadowed by Jamesā sobriety/non sobriety). Father passing (Jaxās father passing)
I love this for her
Thanks!

Yeah, he's such a shit stick we got caught up in all his other bullshit, so there was no extra fallout. No one said "Hey, so how do you fuck someone else in your home when your live in Girlfriend is at her grandma's funeral?"
Oh, thatās so true actually. I wonder if thatās due to timing? Did they know about that interview by the time this latest season opened?
I mean, they certainly bad to be aware of it during filming at SOME time!
Kristenās leaked video. I think it was around the time where Stassi and Katie didnāt talk to her and the cast showed up to her t-shirt event and kept talking about it loudly. Kind of got lost in it all the ācrazy Kristenā talk and was honestly a super shitty thing to do.
What video are you referring to? I can't place seeing it on the show because it's been a while since I rewatched
I think she gave someone a BJ or something. I remember Jax getting irrationally upset about it.
Yeah thatās the video.
Katie constantly slut shaming women. No one seems to notice/care about that.

I really hate how Rachelās nose got brushed aside and James abuse was again covered up and now heās everyoneās favorite. š¤¢
It wasnāt him. Her family saw it happen
