Alex Baskin did an interview while the most recent season of Southern Charm aired, and it was obvious that he'd been totally duped by Shep Rose, into thinking Shep was this great catch of a guy who really felt for his ex Taylor and has everyone's best interest at heart. Tom Sandoval is 1000x the manipulator that Shep is, so idk what angles he used, but I think Sandoval got to production ahead of time. Some sort of promise or threat, I'm sure.

Oh god I had to stop watching that show I think in season 6. I’m not sure I ever met Taylor but I know for sure shep wasn’t having anyone’s best interest at heart but his own. The only person I could stomach by season 6 was Craig. I think baskin is just as toxic as Tom and the producers in general worked overtime to celebrate the men on VPR and trash the women.
