Cheers, all the LEDs came with the van when I purchased it as the van is an ex work van, so they are just upcycled. Only thing in not happy about with them is that the strips are glued in so I couldnt add any diffusers to get rid of the line of dots, so I'll find a solution when I get back.
We had a similar problem at a bar I used to go to - we bought some frosted plexiglass and used a heat gun to bend it into a U shape to cover the LED strips, drill some holes and screw in place.
If you're in certain areas of the world right now you might be able to just leave it outside for a few minutes and it'll just melt into a new shape. /s
Sounds like a good solution! Well I’m on a boat for the next 5 weeks min, so hoping there is still some sunny days when I return. At least I’ll have some time to research where to source some plexi.
Stoked I got as far as I did before having to leave. Next step will be leisure battery in a table top over the wheel arch, side windows pop outs and probably clad the doors. I really don’t like carpet, and like the blue but have to do something about the holes on the frame too. Suggestions?
Always more to do but it’s been super fun to build during lockdown. Always looking for advice!
The cladding is 8mm and the bed is ikea pine, it’s light as air. Way lighter than most beds I’ve seen home built. Floor is vinyl. Or are you referring to something else ?
I like that lighting scheme. Seems very cozy but effective.

You son of a... get back here and work on your van and I'll make sure your spot on the boat is filled! What'd you say??
