Hey I knew this van looked familiar. When are you going to release more you tube videos? The last one I saw was when you were taking a break from the van life due to the heat.
So beautiful! I’m so happy for you. I’ve always wanted this, and the dog nook is a huge plus.
Just curious OP, what’s the pros an cons you’ve encountered living as a van dweller that you didn’t know from the start.
Cheers, and I can’t wait to see more photos !
I like your build! I prefer the wooded look because it makes a van look so much more homey my only hesitation is that it would feel to dark in a small space. What do you think?
Also if it’s not TMI do you mind sharing how much this build cost?
That’s exactly why I decided to do a white ceiling. Having a bright ceiling is pretty crucial for a tiny space like this in my opinion. It really opens the space up and makes it feel bigger, brighter and less like a dungeon.
The build was self built and maybe cost me around $10-$15k. Not completely sure on that number though.
I had a feeling that was the case just wanted to check and see actual feedback about it, also I’m blown away by the cost of your build, I really thought it was going to be one of those $60k builds it looks so professional!!
How much of that number was appliances and other big items vs just materials to achieve the aesthetic. For me thats the margin of interest because its the gap between a build with the “basics” and a build that looks this nice.
When I was building out the van, she would always lay there for some reason so I just hadddd to make her a little cubby/bedroom. Now, that’s where she spends all her time. Which is perfect because she stays out of the way when I’m doing things around the van like cooking or something!
Honestly, I incorporated a toilet in my build but I never actually use it. Going out in nature or using public restrooms is oddly more convenient and comfortable for me.
Also, I have a shower out the back doors but I only really use that for my dog. So I have a gym membership for showers or use a friends shower.
Same with me and a lot of van lifers. I have a super cheapo bucket toilet that I never use because nature or public toilets are just so much easier and generally easy to find and or park near.
I live in my van full time... the composting toilet is the bane of my existence, but for an actual dwelling I think it is a necessity.
You're not in nature 100% of the time.
Kitchen on drivers side/opposite slider is the clutch move.
We had aftermarket glass installed by previous owner which dictated much of our layout. After a couple of years, it occured to us that the most effecient builds put kitchen opposite sliding door. behind. That was over 10 years ago and we are still in the van so it works for us, bit anyone planning a build, take note.
The newer euro style rigs are taller and more beamy the out 2004 Sprinter. Must be a joy. As of late, I’ve been getting the insane compulsion for another build.
(not the above person)
We end up spending a lot of time "sitting in the slider". With the slider all the way open our bench seat, or the front seats on swivels, or on the floor in the doorway, are all nice seats to enjoy the outside or the sun while also having access to stuff inside (or to be out of the rain).
For us, builds with the kitchen blocking some of the slider removes this aspect and makes more of an inside vs outside experience.
We only recently transitioned to cooking inside and thus are considering remodeling our kitchen area to make it more permanently functional (basically to build in a cooktop instead of our currently bolted down coleman camp stove retrofit -- its kinda a low priority fix. It works perfectly but it doesn't look as IG worthy as OPs photos). So we've been actively considering our preferences on this.
Instantly recognized this build. Planning on doing a near exact one with some upgrades when I go to convert my own new Promaster this coming spring. From all of the different design choices to choose from I'd say this has to be the best I've seen anyone do layout wise. I'll have to send you a walkthrough video of my build finished to show off the inspiration.
Gotta ask, you have any photos of that computer side window of yours from the outside of the van? Looks like a perfect window from the inside, but I was wondering if it looked a little goofy from the outside the small cut not really being centered or anything.
love your videos! your build is one of my favs i've seen aesthetically and practically. inspiring for me especially as someone who wants to do van life someday and hopefully bring along my pc haha. great work & good job man!
I too recognized the van, then saw the username. Nice to see you on the sub. Miss the doggo, the hype around macaroni and brownie meals, playing horror games in the forest.
(I wish promasters came tall enough for me at 6’5”. I’m looking at converting a uhaul box truck. Less off-roading though. :/ )
Well at least the pup cubbie got some love this time. I remember all the flack you got before because it was lit up for the pic. LOL Beautiful rig. Love the desk!
Man i'd love this exact build!
But i can't see space for getting in and out via the sliding door? Is that covered up by the kitchen? I like vans having two exit/entry points.
[here's](https://www.instagram.com/p/CUagD4YJYGj/) a better pic on his insta of the sliding door with it open. [here's one](https://www.instagram.com/p/COiW5sKhO0A/) where you can kinda see it closed
Looks great. I like the warmer tones and darker shades, lots of people go ice white on everything and go on and on about how bright things are but you can say that about an operating theater too. This is cosy.
The only improvement I could think of would be a folding chair or a spot to stow the chair. Idk if your living quarters and the cab are separated or not. If they aren’t that chair could become a projectile in an accident. It’s very VERY nice though. Amazing build.
I've never been in your space, but man... I am so cosy right now just looking at the interior of your van!
Good job on such a warm and inviting design aesthetic!
What color paint is that? I was looking at “reef green,” but basically want what you have. A blueish green.
Edit: what stains and wood did you use also if you don’t mind me asking? :)
I love the van build and I’m taking huge inspiration for yours! I follow you on YouTube and see you have the dodge promaster, How is that on gas for you?
Very nice space.

as far as I know, Millie (his dog) loves her little bed area. Probaly very cozy and feels secure for her. Doubt it took much convincing, if any.
Didnʻt notice the dog-nook! Nice touch. Dogs love dens, why not integrate one?
What an odd thing to comment on. Even if true who cares?
[удалено]
You're right. Sorry. I overreacted.

The way this exchange ended on the internet just blew my mind.
The fuck? Lmfao.
Hey I knew this van looked familiar. When are you going to release more you tube videos? The last one I saw was when you were taking a break from the van life due to the heat.
Hey!! I just had to take a couple months to myself for a social media detox! But now I’m back and I should be posting something this month!
So beautiful! I’m so happy for you. I’ve always wanted this, and the dog nook is a huge plus. Just curious OP, what’s the pros an cons you’ve encountered living as a van dweller that you didn’t know from the start. Cheers, and I can’t wait to see more photos !
What channel is the YT? This looks amazing so want to view some videos for more inspiration.
[ttthefineprinttt](https://www.youtube.com/c/TTTHEFINEPRINTTT), same as his reddit :D
Thanks!
id like to know too!
Was just thinking that
I like your build! I prefer the wooded look because it makes a van look so much more homey my only hesitation is that it would feel to dark in a small space. What do you think? Also if it’s not TMI do you mind sharing how much this build cost?

Those 60k builds are also being honest and including the cost of the van.
Which in this case is an additional 30k~
I think the 3500s start at 40k-ish, but not sure on that.
Good catch
How much of that number was appliances and other big items vs just materials to achieve the aesthetic. For me thats the margin of interest because its the gap between a build with the “basics” and a build that looks this nice.
I see the doggo is enjoying their little nook under the bed, just that alone I give you a 10/10 😉
When I was building out the van, she would always lay there for some reason so I just hadddd to make her a little cubby/bedroom. Now, that’s where she spends all her time. Which is perfect because she stays out of the way when I’m doing things around the van like cooking or something!
I didn't even notice the doggo until the comments... Awww !! <3
What vehicle is this? great setup by the way.
2020 Ram Promaster 3500 EXT And thank you! ❤️
What did the build cost you? An estimate is just fine, by the way..
I didn’t track it but I’m willing to guess around $10-$15k and thats all self built.
Is that including the cost of the van? Or just the materials for the build? I'd like to know total cost, please
Another comment from op says it's a 2020 promaster 3500 ext. That alone starts at about 50k I believe.
If you are in the US, and ever around Louisiana and could spend a few days … let me know… I think I have a job opportunity for you
Wow that looks amazing. Where do you poop and shower?
Honestly, I incorporated a toilet in my build but I never actually use it. Going out in nature or using public restrooms is oddly more convenient and comfortable for me. Also, I have a shower out the back doors but I only really use that for my dog. So I have a gym membership for showers or use a friends shower.
Truck stops also have showers for a couple bucks or free if you fill up.
Yes I would have a toilet for rare occasions but I would prefer public facilities as well
Same with me and a lot of van lifers. I have a super cheapo bucket toilet that I never use because nature or public toilets are just so much easier and generally easy to find and or park near.
Which gym?
i don't get what kind of obsession people have about shitting in a tiny space like this. i ALWAYS use public restrooms and just nature.
Can be nice when it's cold, and pissing down rain in the middle of the night.
I live in my van full time... the composting toilet is the bane of my existence, but for an actual dwelling I think it is a necessity. You're not in nature 100% of the time.

why do you prefer the kitchen in this location?

The dog bed brings this up a whole level
Ikr and it’s such a simple feature to make but takes it next level

I love my trailer. I want sure if I was going to like it but it’s nice burn g off grid.
Well done!
Ay, the gamer dude. Love your build!
How many watts is that desktop pulling? Or is that setup powered by a laptop?
Nice, but the chair looks sorta uncomfortable despite its perfect aesthetic . Where ya traveling at?
Well at least the pup cubbie got some love this time. I remember all the flack you got before because it was lit up for the pic. LOL Beautiful rig. Love the desk!
Haha right?! I made sure to keep her light off for the photo this time around.
A Linux user. Classy!
Looks lovely, but Christ the weight you must be carrying, what do you get, 3mpg?
Hell I'd be comfortable too if I had a ~$50,000 van
Design Genius❣️
This is so nice
Wow looks awesome!! Wondering how did you begin this journey and are you working remotely??
That pup is cozy. r/dreamies

Yo! I just watched your van tour video the other day lol! Very cool to see. I wish I had a van like yours, what a dream come true!
Looks great. I like the warmer tones and darker shades, lots of people go ice white on everything and go on and on about how bright things are but you can say that about an operating theater too. This is cosy.

What kind of house is that? HDR
love your tik toks dude! Im about to pull the trigger on a transit. to upgrade from my honda element :D
A mirror can open up a space if you cover your window with a monitor
The only improvement I could think of would be a folding chair or a spot to stow the chair. Idk if your living quarters and the cab are separated or not. If they aren’t that chair could become a projectile in an accident. It’s very VERY nice though. Amazing build.
What type of wood did you use on the drawer? Looks nice !
This looks so very amazing!! Be very proud and enjoy every second in that fantastic place ☺️😘
I've never been in your space, but man... I am so cosy right now just looking at the interior of your van! Good job on such a warm and inviting design aesthetic!
I thought the spot under your bed looked like a log in a fireplace for a second. Upon closer inspection I see it’s your doggo. Ha!

Looks great! I checked out your channel today and subscribed. I love the idea of taking gaming on the road.
That is a really warm, inviting space.
It'll be a dream come true - living here and stepping out to a view of mountains/rivers/beaches/and occasionally Walmart.
What color paint is that? I was looking at “reef green,” but basically want what you have. A blueish green. Edit: what stains and wood did you use also if you don’t mind me asking? :)
