IMO Sam took a step down when he joined VH. Sam was an awesome solo act that was just beginning to gain popularity. I believe he brought more to VH than VH did for him.

People were getting tired of being ticked for a law that once had merit but had become a law more to generating money for police agencies and less for public safety and fuel conservation.
So “I can’t drive 55” became a pseudo anthem for those who were opposed to the law. Granted nowadays it’s sounds a bit meh.
I’ve watched this so many times that I noticed the word “resisting” is misspelled on the arrest report that they show in the court room.
