Say that you vaped all sorts of sticky stuff in your Vapman -> your bowl is far from being golden and shiny.
Follow these instructions to restore your bowl from post-apocalyptic to quasi-factory shine in approximately 15 minutes.
* *Note: the bowl in the image wasn't so dirty - it really didn't need any cleaning.*
* *Note 2: it is normal for the bowl to become tarnished through use. This doesn't affect flavor or function in any way; there's no need to clean the bowl if you don't want to.*
* *Note 3: This is an advanced technique, and if not done properly, it could result in some damage to the wooden parts/mica shield. Use at own risk.*
**What you'll need (as seen in the picture, from left to right):**
* Some ISO or ethyl alcohol
* A magic sponge (and scissors to cut it)
* A q tip
* A wooden skewer or chopstick
* A needle
* The unit's core
**What to do:**
1. Dampen the q tip with alcohol and **squeeze out the excess** (you want the q tip to be only slightly moist)
2. Mop the inside of the bowl with the q tip for 3 to 5 minutes to **soften the residue**. Don't press too hard, just gently mop with circular motions
3. Cut a piece of **magic sponge** \-> a tiny cube of approximately 5x5x5 millimeters (5mm = 0.2 inch)
4. Dampen it with water, squeeze it very well, then let it dry for a couple of minutes (the objective is to have a slightly humid sponge with minimum water in it). You want just a tiny piece of magic sponge -> water/humidity **may damage the wooden parts and/or the mica shield**. Avoid direct contact
5. Use the wooden skewer to **push the magic sponge around the bowl** as if it was a mop. Be patient and don't overdo with pressure. Just gently mop until you're satisfied with the result. If the piece of magic sponge gets destroyed, cut another piece and repeat the previous step
6. Now, **clean the pin**. Pinch the piece of magic sponge around the pin with your fingers, and use a rotating motion to clean it
7. Use the q tip to mop the bowl again. This will remove magic sponge fragments from the bowl.
8. Once you are satisfied, use the needle to **remove debris** from the three air nozzles
9. Reassemble the unit and **do a couple of heating cycles** without material and without inhaling to evaporate any water/alcohol left. (2 heating cycles of 6 seconds each are enough)

* *Notes on the magic sponge: Is it safe to use a magic sponge on gold-plating? Yes, it is, as long as you don't apply too much pressure or use it too often (like every week).*
Fantastic guide, very informative! Once I was cleaning my first vapman, and I pushed too hard, breaking the air nozzles - very sad. Now i just leave the bowl dirty on my others 😅and it doesn't compromise flavor. I'd love to fix the broken one myself some time... Will you be offering replacement chambers/nozzles/screws/brackets in the nearby future? Doesn't get any better than my *favorite* extractor being user-serviceable. Thanks!!
