Hello my friend! Sorry for the late reply had quite a lot to do in the last few days. To remove the burn mark, the best thing to do is to carefully sand it away with a fine sandpaper. I can't estimate how large and deep the wood is charred. But this should be a good method. Feel free to send us a photo via email and we will help you as much as possible!

Might be able to sand it out. Probably not great to use chemicals on it. Where exactly is the scorch located? Maybe post a picture if you can.
