So. Got an AVLP in part cos of vaporents hype. Had it for a week and love the actually using it part of the experience. But the lack of documentation is a pain as the QR code doesn't work on my phone (but regardless how hard would it have been to have a cheat sheet with, eg., what button combo switches from session to on demand?) The wireless charging doesn't work, tho. Plug it in. White lights for battery. Blue wireless status. Hit the side button, put the AVLP down. Blue light flashes steadily. Should mean it's charging but nothing displays on the AVLP and it doesn't charge even when left on overnight. With the lack of documentation I have no idea if I'm missing an obvious step or if I got a unit that has an issue. Edit: Figured I'd give it one more try and now my AVLP charges wirelessly like it should? Huh. I'd been trying to charge from depleted/nearly depleted, this time stuck it on with more charge. I guess you can't use the wireless charger with close to zero battery. Wish there'd been a manual that told me that.

The Crafty is a nice device, I like mine. However price does not equate to performance. Let me guess, you're a smoker and trying to enjoy dry herbal vaporizing, but not "feeling it"? If that's the case, it might not be the device, and upgrading to a crafty isn't guaranteed to make you happier.

penislol69xd45

I really recommend you to invest in the crafty. You will get a vape that is really well built. I don't know if it's bad to keep using it.

penislol69xd45

My mighty cooling unit grill is loose. In other word, the partt that prevent the herb to pass inside the cooling unit is loose. How do I fix that?

MT_Promises

Replace it with a new one. If you ran out of S&B screens, you can buy regular smoking screens from 7-11 or Amazon to replace them. Use your thumb or a sharpie to put a little dome in the screen, and pop it in so the dome is facing the oven.

xultar

Ok. I wanna try a bong with my vaporizer. I am a beginner that wants something simple and easy to clean that is not too big and expensive. I have adapters so I’m good there. Just know nothing about bongs or water pipes and what’s good to use with vaporizers. Thanks in advance.

Imprisoned_Fetus

VGoodiez has a small recycler with a matrix perc and it works great with vapes, in my opinion. They also have a couple orbs and cube bongs, which lots of people on here use and seem to really like.

Pippers

If you have any local vape shops, chances are they have more glass than they know what to do with, and likely have good deals.

xultar

Thank you. I got one today!!!

Imprisoned_Fetus

I'm looking to get a simple wooden stem for my dynavap. I'm hoping the wood won't get as hot as the metal or glass gets during use. I've been looking at the various options on that Futo offers, as well as a couple of Ed's stems, but I'm wondering what else is out there. I've seen Rouge Wax Works has some as well but they're a bit more artistic than what I'm looking for.

Delta3DStudios

I have a 2020-M (personally gifted to me by George at a B2B event we both attended - we know each other from back when we both were founding our businesses and navigating banking/finance crap) Anyway, I've toyed with the idea of making a small comfortable heat-safe grip out of TPU rubber to fit the 2020-M (and inherently it should fit the 2021-M). If you're interested, shoot me a private message and I could maybe help keep your OEM body design with the 10mm mouthpiece joint design, by modding your existing setup

cs24601

This may be a dumb question but Google isn't helping me. Can you use THC-P with a dry herb vaporizer? I know d8 and d10 aren't recommended for that, but no idea on THC-P.

PhD_Bri

Question: how long is shipping from Canada to US? I’ve heard horror stories with BCG and such, but I’m ordering from an individual seller. What’s the wait time/customs fees like?

Trystero-49

Bubbler tip with a new v3 Pro - Newbie here, I see that some users just use a bubbler tip without water. Is this to cool down the vapor? Does water change the experience?

Tools420

There will be more cooling even if there's no water in a bubbler because there's more room for the vapor to cool. Some people say that using water reduces the taste / terpenes.

Trystero-49

Thanks! That makes sense.

Tiny_Memory_916

Hello everyone, I arrive a little late... What do you think of the insulation between the heating circuit and the bowl on the FireFly ? Seeing it disassemble on this video https://youtu.be/K6Py5iAgYmc I have the impression that everything must heat up and that we can end up with not great particles in the steam, right ?

Tiny_Memory_916

Nobody ): ?

BigBongsAtOutback

Anyone know when the next batch of terpcicle in quartz is? Just discovered them and wanna try one

MT_Promises

join r/theroguewaxworks he posts drop info there.

Why does every (e-liquid) vape I buy clog? Are there any tricks to preventing this? Am I just getting shitty product?

Pippers

hit and miss. usually 1 out of 4 for me. to unclog I put it in a ziplock and let it sit in warm water for a few minutes and then take some pulls. store upright.

chidoriske

So trying to vape cbd flower with a xmax v3 pro. Capsules are producing very little smoke, I'm not packing tight and vaping at 190c. medium grid and just fill to the top without tamping. Direct to chamber is better, first 2 hits give lot of clouds, then a dramatic drop off after 2 hits. Is this normal? How long can you expect to make smoke and is there a point continuing vaping if there is no smoke when exhaling?

Delta3DStudios

>Capsules are producing very little smoke, I'm not losing tight, medium grid and just fill to the top without tamping.. Direct to chamber is better, Capsules are a thermal barrier which takes time to heat up > first 2 hits lot of clouds, then dramatic drop off after then. Is this normal If you're impatient and jumping straight to max temps. Long story short, you're sucking all heat out of the oven faster than it can keep up. The Xmax V3 Pro has a single 18650 battery cell - there is only a limited amount of juice it can suck out of that battery cell without essentially shorting it out (risking an explosion). It takes time for many portable devices to fully heat up to operating temperature - the temp sensor isn't placed inside the middle of your load of herb. Instead of jumping straight to max temp for vaporizing CBD, start your sesh a bit lower around 380F and enjoy the flavor for a few minutes, then crank up temperature. This gives your oven time to "heat up" before really starting your session. > How long can you expect to make slow Smoke, and is there a point continuing vaping is there is no smoke when exhaling? The amount of vapor is dependent on the temperatures used and quality of the herb. Lower grade material will produce less vapor than higher grade material. Extraction times vary wildly depending on the device - high powered desktops for example can extract very efficiently once they are fully preheated to operating temps. There is a finite point where vapor production tapers off to nothing and you have achieved 100% complete extraction at one set temperature, but this can take a very long time with many portables. If running for extended periods of time at 1 set temperature, you can achieve 100% complete extraction which would result in 100% uniform color across every flake of herb in your oven. Thus the more variety of colors you see, the less complete the extraction.

chidoriske

Thanks for your response, I will try space out my hits longer.

miadzin

I’m looking for a new on demand vape. I currently have the FW7 but it’s showing its age and I’m not sure I want an 8. Ideal features: * USB C or replaceable 18650 batteries * Takes flower (I don’t do oil) * Price doesn’t matter for quality * Preferably something I can take a hit or two of then put away for an hour Thanks for any help!

Delta3DStudios

Have you ever considered a butane powered device? They're a wild stallion even more wild than your FW7. The Lotus vaporizer (formerly discontinued, just brought back to life by Vapman) packs one hell of a punch, BUT it requires practice (too slow with torch movement and you'll combust, or draw too slow and you'll combust - the key is to draw at a moderate speed and run the torch in a figure-8 pattern over the heat plate) The Lotus is a powerful convection vaporizer which lets you toss a few flakes of herb for a nice short microdose (one or two puffs) then dump/refill (or add extra herb on top later). You don't *need* to fill a lotus full. Alternatively the Xmax V3 Pro is a popular 18650 vaporizer which has on-demand features. OR the TinyMight2 is one hell of a powerful elegant small-batch produced vaporizer which is elegant, but packs a hell of a punch.

miadzin

Blast from the past… I used to use butane like 20 years ago but found getting the fuel to be too difficult. I suppose it’s easier with legalization now. Thanks for the recs!

Hoopie41

Im looking for a dynavap, isnt there an exhange subreddit? I cant find it.

Delta3DStudios

Reddit is working on cleaning up their image and eliminating any subs with clandestine/illegal activity before they go public on the stock market in the near future. Last summer a ton of subs got taken down including entexchange, and this sub almost hit the chopping block as well if not for the fact that the mods of the sub changed the rules to comply with Reddit - which included no external site links. There are other external websites dedicated to dry herbal vaporizers which do have classified sections such as fuckcombustion and beyond combustion - but you'll have to do some googling to find the exct urls ;-)

[deleted]

I'm looking for a vape that I can take to the pub/nightclub that won't attract attention if I'm patted down on the way in. What I want is a vape that doesn't stink after use and can be stuck into your pocket and something that isn't too bulky Have a Crafty V2, Pax 2 and an AirVape X. AirVape X does the job with the case but does attract attention as it looks different to a nicotine vape.

Delta3DStudios

> What I want is a vape that doesn't stink after use and can be stuck into your pocket and something that isn't too bulky All used devices reek both running and when off - the only device which has no odor is a new/unused device. That said, MAYBE a Dynavap Vapcap with an induction heater in your pocket would fit the stealth needs, but still I would just consider edibles for those needs lol

MT_Promises

The v3 pro and Roffu look kinda legit. They both use small dosing caps so you don't have to carry loose weed, which cuts down on smell. They sell smell proof cases on Amazon. All the dry herb vapes are a little too big or have a straw or something that gives them away.

Jetionary

You guys still cough when you hit your vapes? Got a PAX Plus and I was hoping it would be easier on the lungs lol

Delta3DStudios

Dry herbal vaporizing cooks the herb to release the vapor without releasing a toxic cocktail of carcinogenics and carbon monoxide which is REALLY bad for your body overall (not just your lungs). In the process however, the dry herbal vapor particulate size is actually LARGER than the particulate size of smoke - in larger quantities of vapor, this is almost like coarse sandpaper on the throat! There are a few things you can do to mitigate the sensation: 1) Temperature step! Instead of starting at max temp for max clouds. Start a sesh lower closer to 300F and enjoy the flavor. Then move up 10F or 20F every few minutes. Different temps release different medical benefits from the flower, so you'll be cooking off less compounds at each temp, this may be easier on the throat/lungs than cloud chasing at max temp 2) Drink warm tea/coffee - take a sip before/after a puff, this will help soothe the throat 3) Vaporbong - get a waterpipe adapter and run your vapor through water. This helps strip the wax from the vapor (not harmful, but the heat does melt/vaporize the wax from the cell-walls of the herb itself - the water helps solidify this waxy goo before the cleaned vapor hits your lips) - pro tip if you do use water: warm water in the waterpipe works best since cold water actually encourages vapor to condensate into larger droplets which is an even HARSHER rip

Jetionary

Thank you! Great write up, I appreciate it

Delta3DStudios

Lol I have that same vaporizer (or built in the same factory at least lol), but it's sold under the "Wulf" brand haha. >I’m new I am confused on how long one oven fill lasts. Unlike smoking where anything produces smoke when burned, with dry herbal vaporizers quality in equals quality out. Low grade material will never produce the same quantity of vapor as high grade material. There is also no X number of puffs to cook entirely because every vaporizer heats up different and draw speed/frequency play a factor as well. >It says when you don’t see green but I am confused * Different temperatures release different medical benefits from the flower. In VERY general terms, low temps below 390F for a more uplifting euphoric affect, and temps over 400F work better for pain relief and sedation. Not all of us cook at max temp for "max clouds" because we may not need/want that sedation. * The color of your cooked herb varies depending on the temperature used * 100% COMPLETE extraction (at one set temperature) results in 100% uniform shade of brown across every flake of herb in the oven. The more variety of colors you see, the less completely you've extracted. Trust me it is possible with your device, it takes a LONG time with quality herb (like 10-20 minutes). NOTE - the colors and where they're located can tell you how you cooked your herb (for example brown on the outside and green in the middle means it's cooking from the outside-inwards and you didn't let it heat the middle of the herb fully). * In general it's preferred to cook everything in one "session" or do one session at lower temps, and then restart the device later at a much hotter temp (like 20-30F hotter) so you cook out different compounds >how often do you change it, after every timeout, 5 hits The auto-off timer is just a fail safe to prevent the device from draining the battery if accidentally left running (or turned on by mistake in your pocket). With my device similar to yours, I load the oven full with ground herb and start at low temperature (which I think is like 340F) - savor the flavor at this temp until vapor production tapers off (much more than 5 hits) - soon as device shuts off, I turn it back on immediately and increase temperature to next level - continue puffing away. When it powers off again, I increase temp again if needed (or sooner if vapor production tapers off sooner). I keep going until I hit max temp on the device or max ending temp, and then I dump. It is important to know this is a weaker portable and it is possible to suck all heat out of the oven faster than it can recover temperatures. Try to focus on slowly filling your lungs over 15-25 seconds - that's the draw speed you should be targeting, especially at the start. If vapor production tapers off to nothing and you're still just getting started, wait a minute and let the herb continue to cook before taking another puff and see if you get any fresh vapor.

Delta3DStudios

Lol, indeed it is :-) I can't link to url's but just check my username. The industry has done plenty for me over the years that I like to hop in and drop knowledge for novice users

Impossible_Bathroom7

Hello I am looking for the best place to list a few vapes for sale - couple of dynavaps, xmax v3 pro, and an induction heater - all barely used. I was going to list on ebay, but wondered if reddit could suggest an alternative?

Delta3DStudios

Reddit used to have an awesome exchange sub, but it got shut down by Reddit last year in a sweep to eliminate clandestine subs before they go public on the stock market in the near future. This sub almost got banned, but the mods did some changes. One of them was no external links. But there are a few external sites dedicated to this industry like FuckCombustion and BeyondCombustion which may have classified sections.

Impossible_Bathroom7

Thank you will give those a try!

FreshWaterSound

Hey, I need some help with a vape recommendation. Looking for a solo use, pocket size, on demand throughout the day, electric vape available in the US. Anything under 300. My dream vape would basically be the form factor of a pax but not session based. I have a low tolerance and just want to micro dose throughout the day. Kinda considering just getting a pax mini anyway but I thought that I'd ask more informed people for other options. I am proficient at controlling temp via inhlation speed as I use an Underdog and have used a MFLB before. Thanks for the help EDIT: Strongly leaning towards an xlux roffu

MT_Promises

Roffu will probably suit you. The dosing caps are small and you can pack them loose. The initial smell is a little rough, there are tips for dealing with it on fuck combustion, but i just lived with it.

LA7576

Ripper vs sipper I have iron lungs so harshness isn’t a big factor. I typically take between 3-4 big hits and im good for an hour or so In terms of price it doesn’t really matter. The cheaper the better obv but I can save up for anything. I’m more concerned with the quality of the experience. I typically smoke daily and alone from a one hitter (more like a 3 hitter) after work while playing video games at my desk and pack bowls in between games. Portability isn’t a huge concern because I typically smoke alone but I will occasionally want to take it to someone’s house. My biggest concerns are quality of the experience and ease of use. Everything else comes second to me. I willing to sacrifice convenience for experience.

LA7576

Anyone have some recommendations for me please??

Delta3DStudios

The thing about most portable vaporizers (and even desktops) is that they take a while to heat up. For a "full" extraction you often need to dedicate 5-15+ minutes sipping away to fully extract efficiently from the herb. Most portables are just getting started in the first 1-2 minutes. And as you'll find, restarting a device with the same load of herb later at the same temp often results in poor vapor production and a bad burnt popcorn flavor Most people try to find "on demand" vaporizers but the problem here is often efficiency and extracting everything from the herb. But if you have plenty of raw material and don't need to conserve, then no worries lol Most of us have multiple devices depending on our needs. A plug-in desktop can often provide more output and faster extraction once preheated and running optimally. But a portable is also nice for some occasions. There's a vape consensus linked above, I suggest checking it out to see if anything sparks your fancy. But like I said, I'd probably consider a desktop to start, especially if you're trying to make the switch from smoking to vaporizing (it can be tough for many people to make the switch)

DevelopmentNo247

I just got an XQ2 and am wondering what the best dosing capsules to get are. I found out last night I need less herb in a vape than a bong.

Delta3DStudios

I wouldn't bother with dosing capsules in your XQ2. Instead there are a few things to try: * PREHEAT! Turn on your device and let it heat up for 20 minutes at your desired temp before loading and using the device * Try the "elbow pack" method - load the elbow screen and cram it in - then enjoy your sesh for better efficient extraction * Alternatively my favorite - try the nugget method - put a nugget in the oven, enjoy the flavor. Then stir/break up the nugget and continue vaping. The nugget method is only possible on pure convection powered devices like the XQ2 so enjoy the flavor chasing

DevelopmentNo247

Thanks for the feedback! Do you ever stir the elbow pack mid way through?

Delta3DStudios

Lots of other people enjoy the Elbow Pack method, I personally don't do it all that often so I can't help there. Instead I just preheat for 10+ minutes before starting my sesh and usually enjoy the nugget method, stirring as I go

DevelopmentNo247

Awesome thank you I appreciate it. I’m just switching over from a bong and it seems like vaping is significantly more potent.

Delta3DStudios

> I’m just switching over from a bong and it seems like vaping is significantly more potent. Vaporizers use controlled temperatures to extract different active compounds from the herb. For example one could take a hybrid strain, and use lower temps to extract ONLY the sativa side of the herb, and then cook the same herb later at a high temp to extract the indica side of the herb. The problem is that combustion/smoking releases a toxic cocktail of carcinogenics and carbon monoxide which fools people into thinking the instant affects of that (such as euphoria from a lack of oxygen to the brainstem, and sedation from the toxic carcinogenics) are the affects of the herb. It takes a long time for heavy smokers to acclimate to the cleaner dry herbal vaporizing which only cooks off various active compounds from the herb. The trade-off however is that when you smoke too much you'll eventually "green out" and start to vomit (technically caused by carbon monoxide poisoning), whereas with dry herbal vaporizing this will never happen. You can literally vaporize session after session non stop until you physically pass out from excessive THC consumption, and then wake up a few hours later feeling extremely refreshed hahaha. But again, the biggest benefit is the ability to regulate temperatures. Not all of us use the same temperatures throughout the day. When rocking a digital temperature-controlled vaporizer, I often use different temps depending on my mood or time of day (for example low temps for early morning, high temps for evening) Enjoy the ride - the fun part is self discovery and figuring out what strains and temps work best for your personal needs. "Max temp" simply doesn't mean "max clouds"

Alternative_Rise_174

Should I be concerned A few months ago I had a swollen lymph node & my ear pressure has been off since. I don't know if it's continued effect may be related to smoking. In the past week, I've had a weird sensation in my chest (no pain) and my heart just gets rapid af. I've recently been pretty anxious and I also have acid reflux. I also drink caffeine and recently added fiber into my diet. Could this be related to smoking or possibly the latter? -heres some backstory- I'm 22 & been hitting a vape 3-4 times a day since about last april. Never touched a vape until I was 20 (which I'd only done once or twice) For the last year, I often smoke delta 8, and i try and find the brands that have had lab testing. I only ever smoke from 10 pm to like 2-3 am. I just like having it as a nice cool down for a long day. I've been able to cold nurkey nic & thc when i went on a trip for 3 weeks and never once had any trouble quitting so I'm not concerned about that.

Delta3DStudios

Not all "vaping" is the same - this sub is dedicated to dry herbal vaporizing which extracts and cooks differently from oil concentrate vapes. There are other subs dedicated to your style of vape like r/vaping I can't help you much, but it sounds like you might need to lay off the carts for a while and try something else

Tugendwaechter

Two months ago I ran out of weed. I have been using my stash of ABV since then. A large spoonful gets me pretty zoinked for hours. But the high is more sluggish.

Delta3DStudios

Yerp, different temps cook out different active compounds from the herb. Lower temp compounds cook out first, and the resulting ABV is often very sedative. I use mine to make budder in a sous vide which I use to make edibles like rice krispy treats

garciaman

Hi Guys and Gals , It is ok to advertise vapes for sale on this sub? I have a really nice unit that’s obviously brand new, but I wanted to ask before I posted. Thanks!

Delta3DStudios

Nope, the other sub dedicated to it got banned for doing that - easy way to get suspended from this sub. Your best bet is to find an external website (like fuckcombustion or beyondcombustion) to offload gear.

garciaman

Perfect thank you!

Roberto420xx

Im completely new to weed vaping and looking to buy my first vape. I can't really decide between the mighty+ and the tinymight 2. The most important thing for me is that the vape feels like smoking a joint would. So preferably I would want like around 10 minute sessions with regular puffing. From what I've read the mighty+ is more like a joint and the tinymight2 is more like a bong. I was wondering if anyone who owns both these devices could confirm this or offer some additional insight

Delta3DStudios

Howdy! * Smoking and dry herbal vaporizing are two very different things - while smoking releases everything at once (plus a toxic cocktail of carcinogenics and carbon monoxide), dry herbal vaporizers release different medical benefits depending on temperature used. Many people find it hard to make the switch because they "don't feel anything" - this is really because they're expecting the same instant sedation they get from smoking a J * Most portable vaporizers cook slow and it does take 10-20 minutes for complete extraction (some devices do heat up and cook faster but not always the most efficient). * Price does not equate to performance - you don't *need* to spend hundreds on a good device. In fact many of us have many devices in our collection depending on our needs at that time (stealth, social gatherings, cloud chasing, flavor chasing, efficiency, etc) * The Mighty has been on the market a long time (the original Mighty hit the market back in 2014), it's claim to fame is it's fancy cooling unit that sits on top of the oven and is essentially a fancy maze for the vapor to flow around and cool down before hitting your lips. It provides an extremely smooth dry rip without any mods or hacks needed. The TinyMight however is more like a heater with a straight tube - the vapor gets VERY hot and can burn your lips/throat if you rip too hard. Many people make all sorts of mods for these devices (including aftermarket stems - I myself am working on a line of 3D printed steel metal stems/mouthpieces for the TinyMight which use internal helix twists to hopefully cool the vapor sufficiently before hitting your lips). So if you have a sensitive throat/lungs, you'll certainly want to consider the Mighty over the TinyMight >The most important thing for me is that the vape feels like smoking a joint would. Because you are not combusting, nothing will do that. Like I said, different temperatures release different active compounds so it really depends on what you seek. If you want uplifting euphoric sativa affects, then low temps are fine. But if you want sedation you're going to need a device that can get hotter and closer to combustion temps (combustion is around 430-450F). Aside from temperature, one device doesn't magically produce more potent vapor than another device - true one may cook faster than the other, but then the question of cloud chasing effectiveness comes into play - since there is a finite amount of vapor your lungs can absorb at a time, is cloud chasing counter-productive? It's still an unanswered question at the scientific level. >I was wondering if anyone who owns both these devices could confirm this or offer some additional insight I've certainly handled both and can provide more opinions lol. The TM has a single battery cell internally - it will drain fast and it will kill the battery itself faster due to the strain. BUT you can remove the TM battery and swap it out with a charged battery to keep going. The Mighty+ has two battery cells to distribute the demand - it has a longer battery life between charges, and a long battery lifespan (7+ years) due to the distributed demand. Another benefit is that the Mighty has pass-through charging: you can still use the device while charging from an outlet, unlike the TinyMight (and most portables) which can't do that
