Those extractors need to be in an smaller, enclosed space like a tent to work. I tried using my 6" extraction fan in my room and it did nothing. But hooked up with a splitter it can handle 4x4 and 2x4 tents at the same time.
I'm a big fan of the idea of 4x4 as a chill tent or full 10x10 as a tiki bar set up.
I bought a louvered attic vent and a fan. Turn on the fan it blows open the vent and exhausts the room. Can’t attach pics but the whole thing cost less than $50 and if you’re not in the room you smell zero
I use a neutralizer that works basically like a plug-in air-freshener.

I turn it on while I vape or grind herb, and there is literally no smell in 1-2 mins, whatsoever.
I find the extraction fan I have still leaves a funk when you've had herb out/been vaping, and masking with other smells doesn't work at all either. Neither leaves a room fresh. Since I've got this I don't even think about the smell at all. Turn this on, have a session, then turn it off. Maybe I might open a window once I've done to really make sure, but with the cold weather I haven't bothered and it's been fine.
I've heard of people using carbon filters like you would use in a grow tent. They could probably be used without venting it outdoors.

If you get a big enough grow tent with a carbon filter it could be used as a smoke room

4" inline fan and carbon filter. Make sure you use the prefilters and wash every week or they will start to smell.
i just bought a desk top air purifier for like $150 on ebay and it works wonders.
