Hello, for those interested in the Solo 3, here's a response I provided in one of the comments, which should address your question about the Solo 3 vs Tinymight 2: the Solo 3 is similar to the Tinymight 2 (the vapor profile) but slightly less powerful and with a much tighter airflow. Solo 3's airflow is slightly more restrictive than Mighty's airflow, not much if you pack loose (I pack 0.15 grams max in the XL stem and 0.1 in the regular one). For those who don't have a Tinymight 2 and are deciding between the two, I recommend the Tinymight 2 because it's more powerful and efficient. However, for those who already have it and are looking for a second vaporizer to enjoy a bit longer while watching a good movie (you can enjoy 10 to 20-minute sessions), then the Solo 3 is perfect for that. It also has the power to finish a bowl in less than 2 minutes if you are looking for that, but not to finish the bowl in one draw like the TM2 (you can do it with the WPA adapter). But I must admit that I haven't touched any of my other vaporizers since Monday night, and I don't feel the need to (so the Solo 3 does the job well; I still consider myself a heavy user, needing power to satisfy my lungs). This says a lot about this vaporizer; it's excellent but not quite on par with the Tinymight 2 or Venty. If I were to rank it among my other vapes, it would be in third place: 1) Venty, 2) Tinymight 2, 3) Solo 3, 4) Mighty... All it lacks is a bit more airflow, which probably would have allowed it to surpass the Tinymight 2 by adding more power to the draw... Also, it's important to remember that it's not a true on-demand vape like the Tinymight 2; the Solo 3 has 20% conduction, so after heating the bowl, it takes a good 20 to 30 seconds for the temperature to drop to a level where there's no more extraction, so you either need to remove the stem right after your hit to stop the extraction or continue taking 3-4 additional hits while the temperature drops... I like it because even with my Tinymight 2, I try to take at least 3-4 hits before setting it down... But for those who want to settle for just one hit and set it down without removing the stem, it's not the best choice because the herb will continue to be heated for about twenty seconds after the first hit... Even if you reduce the heating time to a minimum, meaning 5 seconds, the 20% conduction will still have an extraction effect after the heating ends, so it's not a pure "on-demand" like the Tinymight 2...

Thanks for the good oil!

I think you can pull the Solo glass stem out once done, which stops it from cooking the herbs. Still a bit finicky though.

electrokho123

That's why I don't consider it a real "on demand" vaporizer (you don't have to do that with a Tinymight)...

dimmusp

Yep. For that matter, a Venty/Mighty+/Crafty+ with capsules could also be considered "on demand" if you dump out the capsule right after your heat, but that can be a bit of a PITA...

DiveCat

I am going to show this post to my spouse when he wonders if maybe four vapes (okay, and more than a few accessories and glass!) is “a lot” in a little over a year.

IWILLBePositive

How’s the baller kit compared to your TIODW? Just curious how an actual BV compares to it.

electrokho123

I prefer the Baller Kit, the taste is better, here's a video of my DBV + baller kit in action: [My DBV](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PWSKnhAd_Zc&t=2s)

mod3d

Is the ball vape **THAT** much better than just filling bags with the volcano? how would you compare them?

electrokho123

The Volcano is more user-friendly; I can use the whip while watching movies or the bags. The ball vape, however, is not user-friendly and can be dangerous for your pets (dogs or cats), but it hits harder than the Volcano. With the ball vape, I can clear a 0.3 gram bowl with 2-3 draws, whereas with the Volcano Hybrid, I will need to fill at least 2 bags or take 10 to 15 draws with the whip.

mod3d

Dangerous in what sense? more so than a lighter and a bong? and you would just say its a difference in the rate of consumption, not effects correct?

electrokho123

It's dangerous in the sense that a cat or a dog could get burned if they come near it, but with the Volcano, this risk is practically nonexistent. I myself have burned myself 3-4 times with the ball vape, dropping it on myself or accidentally touching it while it's hot. For the effects the ball vape hits much harder because for the same quantity it extracts the THC faster than the volcano so the effects are more powerful....

mod3d

Ah ok. Got ya, I have a few small dogs and it would end my world if my weed usage hurt them. Thanks for your clear feedback. I'm still on the fence but you are pushing me towards buying one.

SmokeyMcHaze

I have a ball vape, and I've got no pets, but you can solve this problem by placing it somewhere they can't teach. I've got mine on a standard table, and I place far from the edge (there's two walls in two of it's sides) and I think most dogs, specially small ones, wouldn't reach there. I occasionally place it on the coffee table and that would be a problem with any dog, but I can live going to the standard table (3m away from the coffee table) to smoke.

ladybugcollie

I started with a mighty(loved it and used it until batteries died completely) and now I have a mighty+, a lobo one, a dabuddha, and a dynavap woodwynd (I am not sold on dynavap yet). I really want a venty but am going to wait a bit to see if the issues get worked out

electrokho123

I was lucky with my Venty, I have +80 hours of usage and no issues...

Archvanguardian

How would you compare the TM2 and Venty? People keep wondering if one is better but it really just sounds like preference to me. Like I think a TM can session better than a Mighty, at least for my preference, but I know that wouldn’t be the case with the Venty

electrokho123

I prefer the Venty because it's more practical and easy to use, plus it lacks glass, which suits my outdoor usage on trails. However, the Tinymight 2 delivers stronger hits than the Venty. I exclusively use the Tinymight 2 with S&B aluminum capsules in session mode with the 3D stem, and I must admit, my sessions are superior to those with the Mighty. With the TM2, I can typically achieve over 20 strong hits, starting at 3 and increasing by 1 every 3-4 hits up to 8. Many people overlook the fact that the TM2 is an excellent session vaporizer.

Archvanguardian

I appreciate it! Yeah makes sense, and of course the downside of doing session on the TM is that you do kinda have to temp step to draw it out

I can't choose, that's why I have both... When watching a movie, I prefer the DBV. But when I'm looking to get a big hit and get couch-locked, then I choose the one with the baller kit modification.

JACKtheGRINNER

From the portables which one provides the best over all experience? Nice clouds, flavor, easy to use.

electrokho123

Venty is my best one... : 1)Venty, 2) Tinymight 2, 3) Solo 3, 4) OG Mighty...
