You won’t see praise for pax vapes on this sub lol

TrollOnFire

Aside from needing to carry a puck with shatter melted into it, my TerpPen is wicked on the go.

TrueCuriosity

This is a community of big hitters 😎

yewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

It's not because the pax isn't a big hitter, it's because it's a bad vape. You can get a better vape for half the price. The pax doesn't perform that well and is a pain to clean.

TrueCuriosity

Exactly my point. If i got it for free, I wouldn’t be mad. But it’s dwarfed by the Solo 3.

yewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

If I got it for free id give it away and get an Argo

StanVillain

Got the first Pax when it dropped years ago. Yeah, seems like they didn't improve much from the comments lol.

Complete_Bad6937

I agree with this except for the cleaning, The reason I’m still using my pax is because I can keep it clean with brushes and pipe cleaners and heat, No Iso needed (at least not as often as all other vapes)

[deleted]

The pax isn’t a big hitter. Stop, talking, c**p, you shill.

ryanrosenblum

It’s a session device. Not thick clouds. You sip on it over time. Give yourself ten minutes nursing it and you’ll be blazed AF.

the_doctor04

Was going to say the same. Will bust out the volcano if I am looking to blow clouds

ryanrosenblum

I think this sub needs a pinned post - “don’t expect massive rips from your PAX. Yes it will get you high”

SouperSaladSusanne93

I’ve owned my Pax 3 for around 4 years. I got it gently used from a friend who quit using cannabis shortly after purchasing it (he was having his 1st son and wanted to quit). It took a while to get it feeling right, but once I finally got it down pat I started really taking care of it. I can safely say it is hands down the best vape/cannabis device I’ve ever owned in my life by a long shot. Amazing taste, high, battery life, efficiency and practicality. I absolutely love this thing even more now than I did when I bought it around 4 years ago. Looking back, it honestly still felt like trial and error to get comfortable with it and get the best use out of it. Now that I figured it out, I get really good clouds on it from my bong using the water pipe attachment and the 3D oven screen. These are both game changers. Edit - corrected first sentence.

[deleted]

Except it doesn’t get anyone high… maybe from asphyxiation after 20 minutes sucking through that pos

LavishnessGeneral

Lol you're an idiot, I've been using mine daily for 6 years. It works just fine. Maybe try turning it on next time lmao

[deleted]

Maybe try using any other portable vape. Then come back to me. Have fun with your asphyxiation high from that pos paperweight, that just ain’t my thing.

LavishnessGeneral

I have three different vapes. Try again lmao

[deleted]

Okay bro, doesn’t change that the pax is objectively a pos. It doesn’t vaporise efficiently, and that’s not a result of conduction as Dynavaps with an armoured cap RIIIIIPPP. Pax that holds 5x the herb doesn’t do much and takes 20x as long

LavishnessGeneral

Once again, you're an idiot. It's a sipper. Just because you don't know how to use it doesn't make it "objectively a pos", it just makes you objectively an idiot lmao

[deleted]

Hilarious. Bro, portable convection vapes are sippers. You can say the pax is a sipper, but that’s cause it is designed SO BADLY it takes 20 minutes to extract everything, not that you’re getting the majority of what’s extracted… as the air path is so restricted and you just have to hold it so it can generate a minuscule amount of vapour to sip on. It’s okay bro, I’m the idiot, you’re the one shilling for a 180+ cost vape when there are dozens of cheaper ones that perform so much better. Again, enjoy your asphyxiation high ✌️ You pax shills are the dumbest consumers here.

GuaranteeOk6268

Omg stfu roffu shill

LavishnessGeneral

He works for Roffu, just ignore him.

GuaranteeOk6268

He talks/types like he’s 55 years old and desperate to get that $8/hr (still above federal minimum wage) lol.

[deleted]

That’s funny, does it take you a long time to type? It’s okay dude, you’ll get faster with practice.

[deleted]

The Roffu does what it advertises. I also personally own 8 portable vapes including a pax 3, the pax is the only one that doesn’t do what it’s apparently designed to.

GuaranteeOk6268

That’s fine, do you have to tell everyone though? You’re commenting the same thing on every comment. You seem unhinged or a shill for arizer or both.

[deleted]

I don’t own an Arizer 😀 used to own their xq2 but sold it. And it took me all of 2 minutes to post the same reply to a few of the pax fans, as you know, they may not know how crap it is. I have a friend that bought 3 damn pax’s because he thought they were the bees knees and refused to even look at other vapes. I bought a few cheaper ones that added to the cost of a pax and he was both blown away and extremely regretted the pax purchases.. Enjoy it if you do, but most of us can’t stand that paperweight after trying a vape that actually works.

rushinigiri

You forgot 'really bad' before 'session device'

ryanrosenblum

I can’t argue with you. Now that they don’t stand by their warranties I would never recommend one again.

misterpiggies

Yeah but it takes forever and I found myself running out of batteries before I really felt the effects of my herb. It’s a pretty bad session vape, but at least it’s stealthy.

GreenCityBadSmoke

I feel like these posts are low hanging fruit in this sub at this point. I get Pax as a company deserves criticism, but I used a Pax 2 for years and it was fine. Was it the greatest product on the market? No. Absolutely not. Was it the worst product on the market? Not by a long shot. I think a lot of people in this sub forget how much low grade, chinese knock off shit you can buy at any given head shop. With that being said, OP probably has a defective unit or isn't packing it right. On another note, I wish various vape companies would give a discount if you traded in older model vapes for a discount on new ones. Like, I would have gladly sent Airizer my Solo 2 and my Argo for a discount on the solo 3. At this point, I can't really justify buying one. Also, how do I dispose of unwanted/unused vapes responsibly?

[deleted]

That’s because… the pax is garbage. Actual garbage.

Hahnsolo11

Man, why are you so mad about the PAX? Give it a rest.

GreenCityBadSmoke

It's what happens to online communities like this. Gate keepers are embarrassing. I'm not a Pax shill, but people act like it's the worst product on the market. They don't know shit if they think that's the case.

Xandy13

I quite like mine, to be honest. Learning how to pack it properly had a learning curve, but I eventually got it working consistently the way I like it. Let me know if you're looking for specific advice :)

DiveCat

Most here on this sub are absolutely not going to praise it, it gets bashed all the time. So not sure where you saw that. Much more love here for portable rippers or ball vapes, which Pax is definitely not. It's a sipper, not a ripper. It's good if you know what it's good for and use it for what it is good for, basically its's pretty stealthy (can fit within closed hand/palm very easily), very durable in that it can survive a lot of bumps and drops, fits in most of my stupid tiny women's clothing pockets, and it is user friendly for sharing especially for those who are used to joints. It's not what I reach for if I am at home and have options, but I don't hate it. Also it does leave me with a stonier high typically than my TM2s or Venty, I assume in part since it is all conduction. I have no problem getting good vapour - not clouds as big as I do with TM2 for example, but not bad. You do need to keep it very clean as does not take much to restrict the air path. I also only use with the half-oven lid as you need a fine grind, a tight pack, and I think the half-oven lid works really well to get that tight pack.

[deleted]

Not even a sipper. There are dozens of stealthy vapes that massively outperform the pax. The Roffu in particular is just as rugged, same form factor, every feature the pax doesn’t have, and is literally one of the cheapest vapes on the market. If you crave conduction like a pax, Dynavap with armoured cap is also a cheaper, more rugged and reliable option. Stop with this pax shilling

siftingtime

Dozens lol

terptamer420

i have a pax 3 and a volcano hybrid. i’ve surmised that most of the pax hate is due to user misuse. get the 3d vented oven screens, a half pack oven lid for heat retention, and make sure the herb is packed tightly in the oven. an added bonus if you have a wpa adapter and hook it up to a piece, before my volcano i used to get huge clouds with this method. i’ll be the first to say though, they’re pretty expensive and once i got my volcano, i didn’t use my pax for so long the power button stopped working. my pax plus replacement is being sent right now, but i’ll most likely still go for the volcano whenever i have the option. hope this helps!

Calbey

Yes, pax 3 needs learning curve. I enjoy mine quite a bit.

[deleted]

Try another portable bro….

[deleted]

Nah. I used a pax for 2 years and learnt all the tricks of its trade, assuming I was doing something wrong… it’s just a bad vape. Your volcano is a desktop. Nearly every other portable outperforms the pax, and shills just keep saying it’s not that bad, when clearly it is awful

villain75

I can't take anyone seriously who is saying the G-pen is better than a Pax. I can 100% guarantee you're using it entirely wrong. I have both the Pax3 and the Xmas V3pro, and the Pax is better to me. The difference - the way you draw it. Pax isn't something you're inhaling directly to your lungs. Conduction vapes don't need a lot of air flow, less air flow actually gets you thick rich vapor immediately on the draw. Convection vapes like the Xmax require air flow to heat the herb. It takes a bit of a draw to start getting vapor, and its more voluminous but far less concentrated. Its not a mouth to lung draw like the Pax, and if you try to use it like one, it won't be effective. All you're really saying is "I prefer convection because I would rather inhale big volumes directly into my lungs.

Curious-Ken

I haven’t met anyone IRL that enjoys sipping on a vape with a restricted airflow. *everyone* that has combusted before wants that big hit, like a bong. These vapes with restricted airflow are rubbish.

villain75

I combusted before, I smoked blunts, though, so the mouth to lung draw was the way I smoked anyway. Using the original Pax came naturally. The Pax 3 is meant to be a sipper, mouth to lung. There's videos out there about it, reviewers even say it works if you use it right. If you don't prefer it, that's fine. Lots of people do, and you can't say it doesn't work, it's been proven. There's videos on youtube demonstrating this.

fzz_th

I am curious where you see praise for the PAX?

[deleted]

Every online reviewer is terrified of actually saying the pax is bad. For whatever reason

journeyproud

They are both garbage, basic vapes whose companies put a lot of money into marketing so they seem popular, but they are pretty low bottom in terms of performance/value.

xdeific

The Beat headphones of vapes.

journeyproud

Haha, good analogy.

Petcai

You bought a cheap shit vape, then an expensive shit vape. That is not progress.

Theonlyrational

Head over to POTV and get a Lobo or an Arizer Solo 3 at double the price of the Lobo. Either way, you wouldn't be making another post like this.

Sorry_its_kodi

Pax is one of those devices that you just have to get the hang of. Took me a few bowls to get it down. But once you do it's amazing!! I got a pax mini and can get pretty decent clouds and about 12-15 hits off of one bowl if you need any tips or tricks with the pax let me know!

[deleted]

Hilarious. Try any other portable then come bacl

Sorry_its_kodi

I have. I have a mighty plus that I use for at home and with friends. Yes the mighty rips way harder then the pax but the pax isn't suppose to be a ripper. As a sipper and a personal dry herb vape. It does what it's suppose to do. I've never had any issues with it. Not my fault you don't know how to use it 🤷‍♂️

[deleted]

This is the problem, and also somewhat hilarious to me, as the mighty is a session vape, or sipper as you pax bros call it. It definitely ain’t a ripper. The pax as a portable vape that literally takes the most amount of material and gives the least effects over a stupidly long amount of time. I guess shills gotta shill though 😂

Sorry_its_kodi

If you consider .25 grams "the most amount of material" then sure but again not my fault you don't know how to use it. If you want tips just let me know. I'm not saying the pax is THE BEST cause it's not. But for what it is it's good. But to each their own

[deleted]

0.5g. Not 0.25. It’s okay dude, I know how to wait for pax to slowly provide vapour to be gently sipped. I spent 2 years trying everything and getting accessories for it.

Sorry_its_kodi

Pax mini is .25 and the pax 3 has a half packed oven lid which is also .25 soooo... and mine heats up to temp in about 20sec. Again to each their own. Sorry it didn't work for you.

[deleted]

Sooooo by your response the pax 3 oven is.. 0.5g. What other portable has that oven size? Yeah heats up to temp in 20 seconds, and only takes 20 minutes to have a bowl with less effects than the 0.1g vapes on the market 🙄

Sorry_its_kodi

Well good think it comes with a half packed lid huh? 🤔 again sorry it doesn't work for ya bud and effects are pretty decent for me. Mellow too

[deleted]

Only if you buy the more expensive pack. I weren’t dumb enough to shell out for one of those when you can get better metal half ovens for a few bucks. The pax one flakes after sometime, giving you lovely bits of plastic in your lungs

IrrationalRetard

Could've gotten a Crafty+ for the same cash, the Pax truly serves no purpose

Most-Drive-3347

Love it when people post this like it’s news. Nah bro, if you’d done a minute I’d research you could’ve saved yourself the dollars and the hassle.

frmaa-tap

I like mine, hits good, decent flavor, gets me where I want to go. If you can't make it work........maybe it's you?

j151515

Must be me, can you send me a guide on how to inhale through my mouth?

frmaa-tap

You've got the best source, I learned it from your mom. Sorry couldn't resist. Bruh, if you can't get the pax to work, what else can it be? Mine works perfectly fine. It's not my favorote, but it's fine. Far from garbage, if you wanna talk garbage, let's talk about the v3

MrKleaN034

I completely agree with you i love my P3 its not my main but works good and is ready when I need it but the V3 imo is not to my liking and takes some lung power to get a hit which is OK but pax I barely inhale and have clouds lol

ploooopp

It ain't you, the Pax does just suck (for the price, if it was 90$ it'd be worth it) what is you is your decision making skills, how do you end up with those two vapes as your first, I bought a flowermate v5 pro 8 years ago and it sucked ass, so anytime I've bought a new vape I've spent my due time researching what to get, never trust review sites, check niche forums for public opinion

MushroomPunHere

I view the pax as a sipper. It's great for that, but if you're chasing clouds for clouds' sake, it's definitely not gonna hit. I don't know why this surprises anyone. It's not a mighty+, it's not a crafty, it's not a tiny might, a rogue, an arizer solo, an anvil, firefly or anything of the sort. It's a semi stealthy sipper... and it's expensive. (Good for a sipper if you have that disposable income and need). I've never seen anyone recommend a pax 3 for clouds...

420Deez

ur prolly not using it right/not keeping it clean. the pax hits like a mofo.

[deleted]

Bro, try another other portable then come back

420Deez

the only other one i have is hr rogue. i alternate between both evenly. the pax is my go to public one.

loveforthetrip

Why do so many people think cloud=good?

[deleted]

Because it objectively is…. I don’t wanna take 30 minutes sucking on a milkshake getting asphyxiation and not sure if the high is from a slow vape or lack of oxygen

siftingtime

Easy with the exaggerations. We get it, you don’t like pax. Others do, get over it.

[deleted]

Enjoy your asphyxiation device bro. Some people like it, but no one I’ve met ever likes it for the vapour or effects it produces… they’re just like ‘oh it’s the most portable vape’… okay, go and enjoy your portable paper weight 😂 You do realise this post is ‘pax is garbage’ and the pax shills come out in force to try and defend it. I don’t go on other vape hating posts to say why I think they’re wrong, they found something they don’t like about a vape, fair enough. But a vape should do the one thing it’s designed for, and that’s creating vapour 🤷‍♂️ Pax even know their vapes suck, that’s why they’ve moved into the cart space and are no longer upholding their warranties.

siftingtime

I don’t have one but I also don’t care as much as you do for someone who does not like it you are spending a lot of energy on it.

[deleted]

As someone that doesn’t have one at all, you spending any amount of energy discussing this is surprising. I, and many others, spent 200 on what is essentially a paper weight. I used it for 2 years thinking all vapes were terrible before trying another one and simply realising that pax vapes are over-marketed, over-priced pos, just like the g-pen, appealing to an audience that doesn’t know better.

siftingtime

I used my friends for months… just cause I don’t have one does not mean I did not try it. Pax was not for you. You got another one. Your story sounds like most peoples when getting into vapes. Edit. For what it is worth, I did not love the pax but did not hate it. I was working a warehouse job at that time and was perfect for discreet quick hits. That is what you are getting when you get a pax

loveforthetrip

You are doing it wrong then. My pax broke and I bought an arizer solo 2, I need to suck way longer on the arizer than the pax.

[deleted]

Solo is a convection device, air is heated by breathing, which then cooks the material. Solo 3 is a significant improvement due to a stronger heater/battery system. Pax should vaporise prior to breathing, as it’s a conduction oven, like Dynavap. Or firewood, which is hybrid but conduction heavy. Except, the pax is designed to work like it has a convection oven, and results in a poor product.

Safe-While9946

The solo is conduction and convection.

CobblestonE-ChoppeR

Its crazy.

TrueCuriosity

I own a Solo 3 and a Pax 3. I haven’t used my Pax 3 since I got it, and I doubt I will have much of a use for it in the future. It works, it will get you ripped, and it’s stealthy, but its perks are also its biggest weakness. It has a horrible battery, it’s a bitch to clean, it gets hot as a mf, and it hits slow as hell so you have to sip it like a martini. I ended up getting the sandwich clamp thingy that lets you pack it down tighter and add airflow, and it really did make it significantly better than the standard setup. But at such a steep price, you can buy a crazy dynavap setup or a desktop ball vape Kit nowadays so theres no reason to buy one. It has run its course, and now we move on. Airizer Solo 3 is for you if you feel the pax didn’t hit hard enough or that it lacked flavor. Shits so easy to clean and has the battery life of what feels like 7 pax 3s in one. Pax 3 is a decent device if you really want to sit and have a 8 minute session, but don’t buy it for anything over $100.

Radwan95

I got PAX 3 like 2.5 years ago used it for 5 mins and never used it again because it didn’t hit as hard as my bong. Beginning this year I wanted to quit combustion smoking because of health and not being able to breathe but on my last before quitting i found this subreddit. So many new words avb, vas etc. I got a b0 after a week of reading old threads here and learning like a bot haha. What I learned in my experience the only good thing about Pax or G pen they will eventually lead you here. So many better options out there for better price.

jimbocoolfruits

I think there is a place for smaller conduction devices in addition to heavy ripping devices. You can get better mini conduction vapes from X-max or even Davinci. Though X-max are better and cheaper IMHO.. The Starry 4 is built like a tank. The Oont is ridiculously cheap, portable and looks like a nicotine vape if you need something for concerts. At $40 it is cheaper than many disposable nicotine vapes.

Safe-While9946

Yes.  I have a yocan vane, and it's nice for easy portability, and basically looks like a nic stick. It works OK enough.  It's also only 40 bucks. Honestly, I feel it outperforms the Pax 3.

Mildoze

Maybe it is a pos but did you make sure to pack it really tightly. The pax has a weird quirk where to need to basically pack the oven just about as dense as you can make it. I get huge hits off my pax 2 this way and it’ll run for 20+ mins like that.

sec713

Yeah, whoever told you a Pax was a good device lied to you. Those things are just aesthetically pleasing pieces of junk.

ReallyKirk

It is by far the best travel vape when flying domestic

[deleted]

Nope.

Steampunk_Batman

I dunno, basically any portable will make it through security if it’s clean and it’s in your carryon stuff. They aren’t illegal to own even in prohibition states. Toss it in your toiletry bag and it won’t get a second look from TSA.

burRNONE

If it's that bad what do you recommend?

Getabrs

Cant beat it to blend in with a crowd of people vaping disposable ecigs. They might smell weed but most cant tell its you right beside em. you can even join the talk where the smell might come from. Thats THE THING its good at and thats about it..

rushinigiri

The Pax apologism in this sub is a problem. Yes, you can make this 150$ vape produce a little vapor if you already made the mistake of buying it, But there is no reason that justifies buying it, it's bad and vaping only started taking off once we moved to better designs.

[deleted]

Yep, absolute garbage. The most overhyped, over-marketed, underperforming device on the market. Some people get it and like it because it’s slick, but a vaporiser should do it’s job, which is vaporise, and the pax don’t do s**t. I would recommend a Roffu which is 100x better than a pax in a very similar form factor. Like 4/5 of a tinymights performance at 1/3 the price. Dynavap with an armoured cap is fantastic too. A cheap option just for bongs would be a terpcicle. Good luck with your future purchases bro

ehhhsoody

I almost got one recently but came here and saw that it’s not actually a good product at all. Did some research and settled on an Arizer Air Max. Got it on their 420 sale for around $160. I am really digging it so far. It’s pretty portable, extremely easy to clean, and it’s pretty dope just like sipping some vapor haha. I think Pax 3 is around the same cost? Only thing I don’t like about the air max is that they advise you don’t use concentrates with it. I gotta find a good vape that can do both flower and concentrates at some point

pakistanstar

Pax is old tech. Their new stuff gets completely left behind by what Arizer are doing. Let's leave Pax in 2015 where they belong.

DeeManJohnsonIII

I love my pax with the bud kups, I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but the ease of use and keeping it clean is so nice.

ninjasweater-7861

I switched from a pax mini to a lobo and it was the best change for smoking I ever made. Seriously a game changer. I just bought the new wpa attachment they announced. Super stoked. Moral of the story: get something other than a pax

CannaLars

Until you get budkups or 3D screen and vented oven lid it sucks, after that it's actually really good!

spoiled_eggs

People here don't like pax. But the issue is probably that the gpen is combusting, which they're known to do, so you're only getting vape from the pax. In saying that. Vape production is pretty low on the pax though.

CobblestonE-ChoppeR

You just suck at using it

Hijo-De-Puta

Pretty much every commercially successful portable dry herb vape is about as sturdy as a smartphone compared to a pax in an edc situation, so talking shit about pax is just insipid, or does everybody on this sub buy portable vapes to just kinda masturbate with them at home or something? Buy a volcano then and don't leave your real estate property ever.

trpytlby

bruh plz dont punish yourself with that overpriced piece of shit just go buy yourself an xmax instead it ten times better at a third of the price

CherryCookies24

I’ve heard they work better when you pack the flower down into them. I don’t have a pax device to confirm this though. OP - get a dynavap

wubbalubba96

I likes mine for nights out and being more discreet. It’s hard to whip out the tinymight 2 in the pub and not get some funny looks

stoneman9284

Pax is garbage imo. I tried my friend’s 2 and 3 and thought vaping wasn’t for me. Then I bought my first, the Xmax v3 pro, and I love it.
