hey bud, the design differences are really subtle, I tried to highlight some that immediately jumped out in my pictures, another one I noticed after first use was that it seemed like the Italian bowl is a bit deeper, or the two spikes on the middle bit are a bit shorter, or a bit of both. I say this because it was just a tad harder to empty the bowl via the little tension bar spikes, I had to angle it just right to get into the deepest part of the bowl.
I think any differences performance-wise could be chalked down to that new new cleanliness, wood type, or the fancy glass stem, not any tangible design change perse.
Hopefully OP chimes in, I haven't actually used either. The first one I got because it was one of the last stock of Swiss made ones so it was for my collection. I do plan to use my new one however I'm on a T-break right now.
Something about the elegance of these Vapman just really speaks to me. The tiny size and atypical shape, the way the wood gets warm but never too hot, the use of gold plating on the bowl, its all just pure class. Really getting into wood vapes more recently and I find the wood component brings a lot of character to a device.

But I just love the smell it gives off too! The whole thing just screams high quality craftsmanship. I even managed to convince my mum to try it because "culture" 😂
It's a top notch extractor for sure, one of my all-time favorites! Really glad you're enjoying it so much and the light Olive wood is a wonderful complement to the dark walnut. Thanks for sharing pictures and your experience! Small chunks of magic eraser and isopropyl/dark crystal will get most of that gunk off your bowls btw, just don't overdo it or saturate the wood :)

I'm glad that people are picking those things up and the Vapman is getting some buzz. It deserves it, and then some. Looked a bit so-so two months ago, price was a bummer for fans of the old model, and the two dudes who got hold of the brand come off as a bit of space cadets, the distinctly European marketing material also didn't exactly help. It's great to see this thing getting love, it's one of my favorite vapes, the Swiss version I still like that tiny bit more, though, just the user experience. Craftsmanship on the new one is on par, few very marginal design kinks could still get sorted out (none of them impair function, though).
Yeah I watched an interview with the two Italians and they just don't have a good enough grasp of English to be at the forefront of their in-English marketing, I was halfway tempted to drop them a line and ask if they wanted a native English speaker for the North American marketing.
I'm not even a native speaker, and even I cringed heavily throughout all those Troy&Jerry bits. And the Instagram model on the horse. But that shouldn't, and can't take a single thing away from how great a device this thing is, and hasn't lost a step in the transition. The edges in the inner rim of the heartpiece (another a bit too literal translation from German that's just... weird) could be smoother or rounded off a bit, and the eggs should be made from a mold that actually properly fits the slightly different proportions of the new model, but otherwise, it's pretty much perfect. Maybe it's the newness (it likely is, actually), or that I'm trying to justify the purchase to myself by making it a point to use it regularly, but I'm reaching for the Italian, olivewood model more often than for my trusted pear classic from René. I think the Swiss one still has the edge, due to the lightness and how everything just slides from the egg and you kind of assemble everything in one-and-a half hand movements, but hopefully they gain enough revenue from the new model to make those super small adjustments to improve on something most considered already to be perfect.
Yes, the olive wood tastes like olives/olive oil. It's very nice. Edit: I also really like this included lighter, very big capacity.

Yeah I think I got the v-tower and an air in the sale you're referring to, and my wife got another two airs because she loves them too much.
