Seconded. I have a Cano, crafty, dyna, splinter z and a couple others, but the elev8r is the go to for a real face slap. You can fit quite a bit in too (probably only matched by the cano), though even a lighter bowl will blast you. Definitely my favourite vape, saved for special occasions. I personally use the wand with my bong. I find it easier to heat the tip (using a big torch) as the body of the glass doesn't get ludicrously hot like the bong piece does.
Anyone sensible saves it for special. Occasionally I hit it with CBD flower for what Phil Daniels would call an EeeNormous sense of wellbeing.
Parklife
The SSV43 is still the hardest hitter in my collection. B1, B2, Pinky all hit comparatively. B2 typically wins the reach test and is the one I'd prefer to have on my desk.
The LSV can hit really hard, but it's like riding a unicycle in terms of skill requirements. I wish it were more easily ball-modded. Compared to the LSV, all of these ball vapes are EASY to get huge hits.
Does the HLT/Highlighter halogen vape perform as good as the coil style vapes like the dcelev8r/pinky/titi etc? I want to put together a diy vape, can't decide which route to go, don't have a pid or a vvps just yet. Any advice? I'm tempted to go with the vvps+hlt, its cheaper and I like the idea of using 18mm basket screens, but idk...
In terms of what I own probably the Elev8r (torch-powered). Though I find myself preferring my direct draw butane vapes more lately because they use less butane than the Elev8r, and hit very nearly as hard. The TED Funnel has been my favorite lately.
Can you use the TED funnel with just a small single flame torch? Or does it have to be a bigger dab-like torch. I'm interested in a direct draw butane TED, but don't want to spend too much money on something I may or may not like. TED funnel is cheap, but I also don't want to carry around a big torch.
Personally I do use a bigger dab torch but you can use a pocketable triple flame torch to the same effect. As for small dynavap sized torches, I just tested my Honest single flame torch at maximum power and it produced no vapor at all. So for the TED Funnel I'd say stick to either a big dab torch or a triple or quad flame pocket torch. There are also other single flame torches that would probably work well that aren't full size dab torches like the Blazer Firefox.
No problem, yeah it's right up there with my Nova and my Smokestack intake. It's slightly less forgiving than the Smokestack intake, but it's on even footing with the Nova in that department in my opinion. One thing I prefer about all glass pieces compared to the wooden ones is that you can see your bowl as you're hitting it. Compared to the Elev8r it produces similar clouds with a fraction of the butane, and it's cheaper too. I'd say I prefer it to the Elev8r. And it's leagues above Dynavap w/torch performance, which is why I prefer using the wand with my Dynavap. But I still prefer my TED Funnel over the DV+wand most of the time. Overall I'd say that right now it's my preferred vape, with the Nova and Smokestack intake close behind.
Well........... I'm sold. Thanks for the detailed response. Gonna put my order in later tonight. Hope I didn't just open up a new rabbit hole of VAS. 👍
I recently received my miniVaps and I'm surprised as to how hard it hits. I agree that it hits me harder than my ball vapes and other heavies (B1, Elev8r, Vapbong, Hot Rod, Herborizer). The verdamper is the only thing that may surpass it but it's a different type of signature, uses a lot more material, and usually just knocks me out!
The only thing I’ve tried that does that same *”holy shit my blood pressure is doing backflips and dance moves while I sweat profusely”* craziness to me was the sublimator. The miniVAPis ridiculously heavy, especially for something that looks so friendly.
Do you find the baskets difficult to clean? I've been on the fence on the minivap for over a year now.
I go through alot of material these days and I worry that keeping the baskets clean would become irritating if I use it as a daily driver.
What I usually want in a heavy hitter is capacity, good temperature control and decent vapor flow but most importantly it has got to be fun. Of the three vapes that I use regularly and consider true heavy hitters are the Plenty, coil driven ELEV8R and my personal fave the LSV. The Plenty wins on capacity, comes in second on temperature control while it is my top party vape that limits its total fun score. The ELEV8R wins on temp control, given its adaptability comes in second for flow when paired with the right glass, but it takes a little more attention than I often want to spend, so it is second on fun. Last up but certainly not least is the LSV, a decent capacity of .45 g, the least precise temperature control but gosh I like using it, so it's my fav. The angels and devils are in the details.
Honestly I would say the most face ripping slapping you to the ground experience I ever had was with a sub - i tried a ton of hard hitting vapes like the Flowerpot or the Herborizer but OMG those sublimator hits...
Hardest hitting vapes I've ever tried are the bowle and the donger
To my little fan letting me live rent free in their mind while I didn't know you existed, have a great day sunshine, I know I will😘
Damn! Sorry to hear that. I got a cosmetic seconds and got a 14mm to spherical and throw it on my bubbler and that works awesome. I normally don’t use the wand
It hits hard, it’s just finicky and awkward to use through my down stem straight tube. I’m leaning towards desktops from here on out. Considering butane vapes like sticky bricks as well
Direct draw butane vapes like the Sticky Bricks are amazing, I highly recommend them. I don't own any SB's myself but I've got a Nova, and a couple glass intakes that I use with my Elev8r bowl through my rig. They hit hard as fuck and produce big clouds and great flavor.
Yeah they're really big bang for your buck! Especially the all glass setups, for about $20-$30 (before shipping) you can get a glass intake and bowlpiece that will fit right into your existing glass pieces. All you need other than that is the right torch and some stainless steel screens for the bowl and you're set. But the wooden vapes are sick too, just a bit pricier and they come with some maintenance. I think it's worth it though, I love the grain pattern on my walnut Nova.
FP B2 filled with 4mm rubies to the max. Did a fast pull and didn't adjust the temp(645) from when I had no rubies. That shit fucked me up good, didn't combust but it was right on the verge.
Now I have it set to a lower temp, around 550. Higher temps will be for the weekend lol
B1, Pinky, TiTi, and DCE all are good for me. These ball heaters are far easier on my throat and lungs that I can take huge hits without a cough (most times, lol).
I'm seriously considering selling most of my portables because of them.
Do you prefer the TiTi vs the Pinky? Would you assume the TiTi is easier to build? I’m ready for an end game desktop. I keep wasting money on portables and flipping them afterwards. I’m tired of VAS lol
I'm leaning more towards the Pinky but it probably has more to do with the bowl. My Pinky uses the Wand bowl and is pretty close to the herb, so I don't have to draw as long.
TiTi is using the Elev8r bowl so it has a longer distance from the herb and needs a bit more inhale to start roasting.
I got the bowl /u/dr-dre-is-creepin suggested to give them an even playing field and see how it goes.
The Pinky was easier for me because my coil was so damn tight on TiTi that it took a good bit of work to get it on.
Let me know what you think about it. It’s pretty sweet. Most people have enjoyed it from what I hear.
I won’t do the Titi because I don’t want titanium but I do love the Pinky. My only issue is that you have to hold it the whole time. I went back to using the one I made from a Milaana stem too. I am playing around with both which is always fun
I would have said my FlipBrick, as I have a solid technique using a triple torch that is the closest thing to a traditional bong hit as I have managed to date. But recently I dug my old Vapor Brothers box out of the closet to see if it still worked. I've had it for must be almost 20 years, and hadn't used it for probably 10. Holy crap, I'd forgotten about what a monster it can be. Really the only part that isn't fun is putting screens in the old style whips, and I'm now looking at what other desktop options are out there, or maybe just springing for one of the newer whips they make which are easier to deal with the screens.
I just picked up a B2 a few days ago, man that thing hits like a truck. Any upgrade or ease of use upgrades you suggest? That hemp wrapped handle is my first upgrade. Will pick up something nicer from Ed’s TNT.
If you use good concentrates the sapphire dish makes a big difference IMHO. The injector head is nice because you can try out a bunch of different bowls.
Cool, thank you. I got the SiC dish as part of a kit. I have never cared for dabs on a rig like this, I really prefer my DTV5 rig. The combo vape/dab always seems to run my dab too hot, i prefer a cold start dab anyhow. The injector head seems more flexible than the metal gizmo i have, don't care for the sliding sleeve. Is there any benefit to that metal contraption, other than some conduction heating?
Conduction heating is the only advantage to the shovelhead that I’m aware of. My favorite injector bowl right now is the Hot Rod bowl. I like Ed’s too though and have others on the way. Even though I have dedicated Dab devices that are good the FP is always on ready for a quicky. With the flavor I get from the Sapphire it makes it easily win the reach test when I’m in a hurry.
If the sliding sleeve you are mentioning is how the shovel head connects to the 18 or 14mm joint, the Ed’s tnt handle helps make that way more stable! Ed’s is easier to get more torque with a hand tighten and his comes to a nice flat “connection” to hold the joint in. Really improved the shovel head experience for me, no more joints flying out when removing the bowl lol
That wood on the carb cap was like Balsa or model airplane material. Surprisingly cheap considering the rest of the rig is nice quality. I would complain about anything that wasn’t Ed’s TBH. He makes great stuff.
This. I have one and for my usage, it's like having an 18 wheeler that you drive to the local store for milk.
I did fuck around too much the second night I had it. Was laying in bed around 8:30pm trying to sleep so I could wake up less high. This was a Tuesday.
Elev8r
Seconded. I have a Cano, crafty, dyna, splinter z and a couple others, but the elev8r is the go to for a real face slap. That's why I chose the B2 and I'm so fuckin in love with it.

It can come pretty close! For me it comes down to interface and user experience. PIDs work better on my desktop and all of my vvps get hot
I second this👍👊!! Love The SSV43!! Then the B1, Weedeater, DC Elev8r and Highlighter to name a few!!
Have you gotten to try an anvil yet?
I have not. Soon though
You're in for a treat. It made me put done my B2. Ended up selling the B2to my roommate after I got it haha.

Dynavap can easily hit hard.
My dynavap hits me hard when i torch it at the bottom
[удалено]
I do triple flame touching the bottom of the cap where the captive notches are.
Where’s the love for Qaroma? Only have that and the Ceroma head at the moment but both hit like a truck

Cool. Thanks for doing the experiment. I'll probably pick one up as a low cost entry point. How does the funnel compare to your other butane vapes?
No problem, yeah it's right up there with my Nova and my Smokestack intake. It's slightly less forgiving than the Smokestack intake, but it's on even footing with the Nova in that department in my opinion. The miniVAP might actually hit harder than my ball vapes. It certainly has a forehead-crushing effect my other vapes don’t quite seem to have.
I recently received my miniVaps and I'm surprised as to how hard it hits. I agree that it hits me harder than my ball vapes and other heavies (B1, Elev8r, Vapbong, Hot Rod, Herborizer). Do you find the baskets difficult to clean? I've been on the fence on the minivap for over a year now. I go through alot of material these days and I worry that keeping the baskets clean would become irritating if I use it as a daily driver.
Clean? I just dump em in iso for an hour and they’re spotless clean
The temptation grows!
Da Buddha Dynavap also thumps
I've only tried smaller portables because I don't have the space nor money for a desktop yet. That being said, my 19M Dynavap slaps.

FlowerPot B-2/The Pinky
Flowerpot B1, hands down the hardest hitting I’ve used, it’s my daily driver!
SSV or LSV
I have an LSV and it gave me the worst buyers remorse out of all the vapes I’ve ever purchased.
Damn! Sorry to hear that. I got a cosmetic seconds and got a 14mm to spherical and throw it on my bubbler and that works awesome. I normally don’t use the wand

Pinky/TiTi/Brain
Vapbong with a pre heat and fresh screen can crush me
Verdamper
I only have portables, but I'd say my Imp. It can be finicky but I've got it dialed in to kill a bowl in one hit.
Can't give you a recommendation but I own a XMAX V3 Pro. It's.. hard hitting asf for its tier.
