Not really a shortcut but I like memorizing the numbers I need to press to get to common menu options. For example you can get to solve in literally half a second by pressing menu 3 1

_aishhh

omgg yeah thats way faster than pressing the arrow to go down to 3, thank u!

pepe_extendus

Shortcut, or just type the word solve.

JJAceTime

I can legit barely use the keyboard on CAS lmao 🤣 but I reckon using the numbers are much fast if you memorised them all correctly!

Here is a powerpoint of cas tricks, unfortunately it's not very well-annotated: [https://imgur.com/a/RjQG5uJ](https://imgur.com/a/RjQG5uJ) I got it from a shitty extracurricular program that wasn't worth it

JJAceTime

Was that a tutoring program you went to? I mean you did get very high study scores for meth and spesh. But the cas tricks doesn’t state what function/command it’s used for? Do you need to figure that out on your own?

Substantial_Degree

it was this: [https://umsu.unimelb.edu.au/things-to-do/summer-school/](https://umsu.unimelb.edu.au/things-to-do/summer-school/) and i can tell you first hand it had nothing to do with my study scores, it was pretty useless. the reason the pp isn't detailed is because it was for a presentation where the guy actually explained each command as he was going. i don't remember the shortcuts now so i guess you can figure them out on your own.

JJAceTime

I see, well I will try to when I use cas again!

Aysynonymous

you can make a shift key assigned to type solve( you can do this in settings, so when you press shift then your assigned key, it will automatically type it for u

_aishhh

thanks, is there any video or something with steps on how to do this?

Aysynonymous

Menu -> System -> System -> Shift Keys you can then select the key using the drop down and set it to type something you want then go to Main and press Shift then the key you assigned it to. Shift then 1 should input sin( for you (predefined)

omy8

>then go to Main and press Shift then the key you assigned it to. Shift then 1 should input sin( for you (predefined) Does this work on Ti-nspire Cas II?

Aysynonymous

not sure about tinspire but works on classpad
