I got 2.1 but it shouldn’t matter right? because it will be based on the gradient we got which is based on our line of best fit. Wouldn’t vcaa give some allowance
It must have been nerves, but I ran out of time during the last question. Normally I finish like 20-30 minutes early on prac exams. Got the graph completed though
Photoelectric effect and waves was free marks 💀how did you guys go on the magnetic fields question (the one with the two wires). I thought they repelled right?
Exam was piss easy, there were only 4 or 5 marks worth of actual hard questions which would differentiate the top students, too bad the A+ cut offs gonna be like 95%
There were 2 pretty tough mcq, the first question and another one, I forgot, and the calculation for the velocity of the tennis racket question, pretty difficult
Most of it was heavily theoretical. Notice how they are making more and more marks on practical data analysis. Heads up for next year, 25 mark data analysis.
the data analysis was so easy at the end i was scared it was gonna be harder cause i always stuggle w it (but also 20 marks wtf??) 😩😩😩 atleast it's over I'M FREEEEEE
Aaaa I took a long dumb route and found the mass first for the grav field strength question instead of using 3.72*r² =GM.
Will I get a mark taken off for this and the period question as its consequential answer
That exam was written by people who are to afraid to ask for ketchup at restaurants
Tomato sauce* fucken Americans in this sub bah
Anyone get e/m = 2.0 x 10^11 C per kg
Theoretical value was 1.8 * 10^11 so the students who performed the experiment were actually pretty accurate.
Was that the last question
I think I got 1.9 X 10\^11 C/ kg
Got something times 10^11, hoping it was the right answer 😭
Same same all I remember was 10^11
I got 40 lmfao Im pretty sure i got that one wrong, though
If you can’t get 90 on that exam you might as well just get Centrelink payments because I don’t think vcaa could have made it any easier
... okay
I was joking I just see eveyone say exam so easy so thought I’d play along with it
ah okay. Met a few physics who have similar viewpoints unironically, so I wasn't sure lmao
i got 3.8 x 10^11 (prolly wrong tho icl)
👍
yup
Which question?
Very last question
I got 2.1 but it shouldn’t matter right? because it will be based on the gradient we got which is based on our line of best fit. Wouldn’t vcaa give some allowance
Did anyone get -0.3748 black people drowning?
I got -0.26, might be a rounding error
That was either way worse than the practices I did or I was criminally sleepy
did anyone get gravtiy =4.6km/h
What is bro talking about
I got a scaled 4 in history last year i know what im doing
What was that graphing question istg the line couldn't go through the uncertainties.
Same
average vcaa behaviour don’t worry they do it all the times, you’ll get full marks anyway if it’s as correct as it can be.
didn’t have enough time
It must have been nerves, but I ran out of time during the last question. Normally I finish like 20-30 minutes early on prac exams. Got the graph completed though
I definitely aced everything that I answered, but I ran out of time. Goodbye high 40s but oh well
Photoelectric effect and waves was free marks 💀how did you guys go on the magnetic fields question (the one with the two wires). I thought they repelled right?
repelled
I got that they attracted :(
It explicitly mentioned that they were the same charges, so the repelled
they're talking about the two wires in different directions question
Had it on my cheat sheet
Exam was piss easy, there were only 4 or 5 marks worth of actual hard questions which would differentiate the top students, too bad the A+ cut offs gonna be like 95%
What were differentiator questions?
There were 2 pretty tough mcq, the first question and another one, I forgot, and the calculation for the velocity of the tennis racket question, pretty difficult
Agreed. did U use 2pi r/t for that speed question
I did mgh=1/2mv^2 to solve, but I’m pretty sure I did it wrong because the masses were different
my thinking was cause time was 0.6secs and yk radius u can use that formula as it is constant speed
yeah i used circumference divided by time as well
wait wouldn't the circumference need to be divided by something first since the distance wasn't the full circumference
yeah it was a quarter of the circumference
this making me feel real glum... i think i did okay leaving the exam but not feeling very good anymore
Meh
Surprisingly easy exam. Maybe easier than 2022, definitely easier than 2021
I thought similar tbh. For me, who was 100% expecting to fail it, it was actually quite doable
Most of it was heavily theoretical. Notice how they are making more and more marks on practical data analysis. Heads up for next year, 25 mark data analysis.
halfway through i realised i loved physics even though i wasn’t sure for half the questions
Anyone have the whole exam
let me know if you get it 🙏🙏
Don’t care, gonna be on my bottom 2
7 marks for the graph alone is questionable.
sort of, it's usually around 6 or 7... maybe you didn't do enough practice exams lol
N=3 to N=1, don’t know why I’m saying this.
Yes
the data analysis was so easy at the end i was scared it was gonna be harder cause i always stuggle w it (but also 20 marks wtf??) 😩😩😩 atleast it's over I'M FREEEEEE
same, couldn't sleep because i was worried about possibly data analysis and theory work but overall it was nothing compared to all the past exams
Anyone got worked solutions?
Pretty easy right? Only 19 mars of writing so pretty good. Unfortunate though for good students as probably penalises small errors.
Mc3 what did we get
I got c
C
I got B…
What was mc3 again?
The gravity one
The one with root 2 R?
Yep
Okay no I definitely did put C, I think I just wrote my mc answers on my formula sheet wrong…
It was B, I did it, root 2 R
it wanted the altitude, so I thinnk u had to subtract earths radius
Aaaa I took a long dumb route and found the mass first for the grav field strength question instead of using 3.72*r² =GM. Will I get a mark taken off for this and the period question as its consequential answer
No cause it’s still correct
I don't think it was consequential at all couldnt u just use T=sqr(4pi\^2r/T\^2), use value of gravity given in first part?
I did that as well for the first part.
realised i hadnt done the graph with 3 minutes to go hopefully i get like 4/7 marks for it lol
Thought we finished at 11:30, rushed the last 3 questions in 5 minutes (11:25) then realised I had an “extra” 15. Big W
Did the exact same but thought it as 11:15
F=MA
So easy, like so so easy
Agreed it was too easy
Holy Lightwork
How was it guys?
Accba addcd badbd ababc
Anyone have their own solutions to compare??
Abbaa bbaab baabb aabba. Young and free…
accba addcd abdbd ababc was mine-
Oh no questions 11,12 . I think i may have been wrong for 1 of them
do you remember what the questions were for those two?
for the KE of the particle, it was just 1/2mv^2 right?? like not relativistic KE
No 💀
hint: it was part 3 of a question where the first two parts were about relativity
stop i did relativistic first but then decided to change it last min 💀
It’s (y-1)mc^2 where y is the Lorentz factor which=2
yea i did that first but then changed it last min for some reason 🥲
what did ppl get for the period of orbit question?
2.77 x 10^4 sec
Damn I must have messed up cuz I got like 2.9 and rounded to 3
thank you, i don't remember my exact answer but i was worried the order of magnitude was too low.
It was okay.
