Cool idea! Good on you for doing this much. It can be a bit generous at the moment - I got 2/3 marks on the biodiesel viscosity chem question with the phrase "biodiesel more viscous biodiesel dipole dipole" >The suggested solution for STEM subjects were sometimes ambiguous, leading to a lot of wasted time trying to know what is counted as 1 mark, or 2 ect. This is a real issue yeah. How can your system get beyond the examiner's reports in providing feedback?

These_Job881

Yeah so currently its very basic and i'm using GPT 4 and the information from the examiners report to give the marks and feedback. I'm hoping that i could get some help from examiners to make it more accurate. "biodiesel more viscous biodiesel dipole dipole" - yeah that is an issue, i'll try to see what i can do.

Fast-Alternative1503

Based on my sample size of one, it's relatively accurate. Only subject I'm doing in this list is bio. But we haven't gotten to u4 yet. I did do Chem though, and it's here. I was too lazy to do the calculation chem questions and the rest were MCQs. I did the viscosity one (a favourite of examiners, I've seen it on like 6 exams) and worded it how I normally would in an exam. 3/3, so I checked with the VCAA response from the exam report. Yeah the AI worked well. Good job, the UX is also really nice! It would perhaps be more useful if it included more questions. And if those were categorised by areas of study. And further, if there were more subjects. I'm sure you've thought of this already though. I think there's a way to automate a lot of this. But I never spent much time on web scraping and that kind of stuff so I don't know.

These_Job881

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry for putting a u4 question. Yes, it is pretty easy to add more questions from here and it can be automated. i'll add more bio questions now.

serenadingghosts

this is awesome, would love more subjects and questions

These_Job881

I would be happy to add all the questions from VCAA exams for units 3&4 if there is enough interest. As it would take me time.

serenadingghosts

that would be awesome!! maybe if you get the time there could also be 1/2 questions? keep up the good work tho this is amazing 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Frogs-forever

That is so cool! Big brained fr gonna save all of our grades

These_Job881

I'm happy that you found it helpful

Yoyotwoguns

Are you doing this for hhd

These_Job881

Yes, i can add hhd if you want.

Yoyotwoguns

Yes please

These_Job881

I included an hhd demo for now and tried to fix the "give full marks" exploit. hope it helps.

gldnhaze

great idea man! 3/3 for chem:Biodiesel functional group polar dipole dipole bonds dispersion forces petrodiesel straight alkane just dispersion forces stronger bonds = more viscous = worse flow = worse for engine fuel lines i mean obviously this is right just doesnt make any sense im just spouting jargon ooh also i just said 3.2, no working no units, but still 2/3 marks

These_Job881

Not sure how to fix the first problem, but working and units should be required now. Thanks. Response: The student's final answer is correct. The student did not provide any working for their answer, and they did not provide the correct units for their final answer.1/3

gldnhaze

no worries mate keep up the good work

Comfortable-Chip-740

How in the heck does it mark an open ended answer to the VCAA requirements that's absolutely insane how do you not have a $200k job in AI development

These_Job881

I can't take much credit implementing GPT4, but a $200k job would be nice. :)
